lol, you’d look fast too if you poke checked the last man back pinching D man… That was a Wild D level boneheaded play…

I would have been caught from behind. Speed wasn’t my game, I was more mental brain player.

When was the last time Kirill scored in a shootout? Hell, when was the last time he hit the net in a shootout?

    That’s just unacceptable for him…

Yep, high, wide and just bit outside. His passing is off. His shot is off. He looks off all the way around. He’s got enough talent to still get points, but he has gotta be way better and play more fundamental hockey. Control the puck.

Yeah you’re right, feels like it’s been months… like 6 months. Unacceptable might be too nice doah

Dude misses his first shootout attempt this year and he was like 50% last year. Settle down

man Kuemper is so bad. A cup run with a dominant forward and defensive group will let meh-ok tier goalies like darcy get nicely paid on mid tier teams and have a .800 sv%

    roll
If there’s one thing almost all wild fans can agree on it’s a completely irrational hatred of Darcy Kuemper

Kirill was on fire in the shootout early in his career, but he’s gotta be like 1 goal in his last 10+ attempts with a ton missing the net completely… I cant find the stat online…

Right but no one is going to be 90% their whole career. Even being around 50% is elite, like right up there with the all time best. And you’re calling that unacceptable…

i’m calling his last 10 or so attempts unacceptable because he’s missed the net so much, maybe i’m wrong but I can’t remember the last time he scored in a shootout? Maybe early last year when he put a backhander off the crossbar then off the goalies back and in?

Aren’t you the online stats guy?

I can’t remember the last time Kirill scored in a shootout either. For awhile last year he wasn’t doing well in shootouts and they weren’t even rolling him out there.

A very good shootout guy scores on like 1 out of 3 over the long haul. 40%+ career is like all time great stuff

Kirill has gone in every possible shootout since he’s been in the NHL. He scored on like 10 of his first 15 attempts or something ridiculous, and apparently fans expected that to continue. Things average out over time…..

I believe there were a few shootouts when they had him shooting 3rd but it was won or lost in the first 2 shooters? Yes, he was on the first 3 shooters sheet (do they even do those sheets still?) but he didn’t technically participate…

Sure… maybe ya got me there. I can respect that level of pettiness

Last year the order was zuccy > kirill > Freddy so he did them all

What order did they go when Fiala was here?

I stand corrected then. I just remembered Freddy winning them all.

So Kirill has scored 1 time in his last 7 attempts (last goal banked off the Sabres goalie back after hitting the crossbar) he’s now 7/19 for his career, so 37% yes that’s elite and he had a crazy stretch of like 5/7 successful attempts. I just dont like our superstar missing the net so often recently…

Dang I stepped away and we are dissecting shootout percentages for a full page.
I think the other other team should pick the opposing teams shooters.
Maybe fan votes in an app.
    Cmon Gary expand the game.

That would be so good! I wanted to see Middleton get a shot! jester

The only guy that fooled Keumper was Rossi and that was because he lost the puck for a second. The rest were just brutal.

I thought Daeman Hunt looked fairly good with the limited ice time he had.

I don’t know…. He had a terrible pinch early on that lead to a 2-1 and then left Ovi of all people wide open in front of the net for the goal waved off due to offsides… he was pretty much benched for most of the game on a back2back, that tells you what the coaches felt… I think he has a 3rd pair future as a Merrill/Goligoski replacement next year…

I never said he had a flawless game, but a few of the shifts he was noticeable in a good way.

Hunt played 4 minutes and no shifts the 2nd half of the game. I have no idea why they dressed him over Khaira just to do that. I’ve been a big fan of Hunt in exhibition games but that was about as bad of a debut as you can get

Absolutely brutal. Prayers to anyone involved in that tragedy and especially that young man’s family

What an awful story. Makes you wonder if he was playing here he’d have made it with how well staffed pro sports games are here.

Honestly I’m kinda surprised this doesn’t happen more often. Everyone is cruising around with heavy gauge razor blades on their feet and you rarely hear of people getting cut up.

Kirill needs to stop the behind the net off the back of the goalie helmet shot… yes he scored on it once a year or two ago, but he’s like 0-10 since and it usually results in a missed shot that exits the zone or goes into the netting…

Sorry but I don’t think anyone on IDO is in position to suggest KK should do this or not do this. IMO

you’re absolutely right, he should keep on doing it…

How would you (Wild fans) feel if he was attempting a Michigan every game? We’d probably we asking enough already, Deano’s head would probably explode…imo the bank shot is worse as it’s a 1% success play and the other 99% results in the puck going out into the crowd/netting or off the far glass and out the zone…at least a failed Michigan attempt results in the puck staying right in the crease….

IMO 97 needs to stop hitting the goalie when he shoots and start hitting the netting behind the goalie instead. I mean he’s already hit the goalie 35 times this season and that’s just unacceptable. Makes you wonder if anyone has told him to work on that doah
