I was happy to see Maroon go with Benn. He’s done whatever he’s wanted to against the team for far too long. Glad we have someone that won’t take his crap now.

We were at the game last night. A couple good fights and lots of big hits in the 3rd made for a exciting game.

Wow! Sounds like Marat K is going to get traded to the same team Mitchkov did! That would be great news since SKA has basically benched him all season…

So what are we thinking this season in the standings? Similar to last year? Mid tier playoff team?

Simply looking at the roster, I don’t see much for change from the last two seasons. I’ll go with third in the Central Division. Seems pretty reasonable.

if Kirill can stay healthy, they’ll always be a threat…Most think 3rd in the Central is where they’ll land, I think they get 2nd as the Stars had a magical OT point season last year that likely won’t happen again this year (similar to the Wild 2 years ago winning so many comebacks)

Then once the Playoffs start, its a crapshoot…I think Kirill finishes top 5 in scoring…

With RUsso and Smith’s recent article on Kaprizov I am sorta leaning that he will be our new A this year.

it’s now official, Marat Khusnudinov has been traded to KHL’s Sochi team (same team Mitchkov was traded to) This is HUGE in terms of helping his development as he gets out of the gong show SKA team this season….It would be cool to see if he ends up centering Mitchkov… it looks like he signed a new 1 year deal for this season that expires April 30th 2024 (kinda strange he didn’t keep his SKA contract, but maybe that’s a KHL thing?)

That’s what a lot of people were afraid of, but so far its awesome having 2 guys.

Lotta teams from the East on top considering they all have to go through each other and the West has the last 2 cups. I’ll take the Avalanche again.

For the Wild it’s copy/paste from last year. 100ish point team finish 2/3 in the Central. Hope for some health and luck in the playoffs.

They’ll need someone(s) to step up and surprise everyone again to get to 100+ pts. Last year it was Gus, year before it was Foligno/Hartman and really all the forwards having career scoring years. What will it be this year? I’ll go with Faber and Rossi being impact players and both in the Calder conversation.

I’d say the same about Wild and Stars.

So who you got winning the Atlantic then? It’s never been more wide open for the Leafs.

I think Boston is still the top of that Division due to goaltending, but losing Bergeron will hurt alot…I think lackluster goalie play will keep the Leafs in check…and also slow Tampa down until Vasey is back…

The big question for me in the East is will this FINALLY be the year Carolina plays to their potential? I think it is and I have them in the Finals from the East…

The West is a toss-up, I want to say Edmonton outscores it’s way to the finals, but if Vegas’s goalie Aden Hill is the real deal all season, they will be tough to beat again…

How many games in until we see MAF get his fight?? He sure was close last year with binnington. Wouldn’t surprise me if this is the year.

Hopefully Foligno and Maroon have been teaching him how to get a good hold quickly, I don’t see Flower doing very well in an actual fight…

When’s the first Wild vs Blues game? You know they want to get into Binners kitchen again…

11/28 in St. Paul. Could be an interesting season if it happens in their first meeting. Imagine an opening round playoff series if it does happen.

lol, Vegas couldn’t decide on choosing who wears their final “A” that they are splitting it, William Karlsson will wear it for home games, Eichel will wear it for road games…never heard of that before…

Don’t the Rangers have like 5 guys wearing A’s – I always see memes about it anyway

And I thought the Wild rotated the C at one time

league rules are 1C and 2A’s or 3 A’s per game… Wild rotated the C for the early years, Koivu was their first full time Captain I believe…

How do you think the phone call started between Tampa & Nashville GM’s regarding their Tanner Jeannot trade last year? I mean how the hell do they ultimately get to the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th round picks return for HIM?

I always pictured Poile doing the “and then” from dude where’s my car and Brisebois just couldn’t stop adding draft picks.

I am always surprised it’s not mandatory whenever I go to a game and watch warmups. Mainly because of the ricochet factor.
