Wild staff and Theofanous were working with US government officials to get him an expedited visa and that’s when he finally got in.
And Kaprizov was traveling between Russia, Dubai, and Turkey on vacations during all of that so not exactly like Russia was holding him hostage…

They could be inline for a quick rebuild though, they have 3-4 good prospects that are 1-2 years away and cornerstone guys like Connor and Morrisey signed for 3+ years….
Right but their issue has always been defense and I am not too sure what they have in that pipeline to cure that anytime soon. Its fun when they are in town though they bring a ton of fans here which builds the excitement in the X.

my guess is they feel his game will fall off a cliff after 1 more season and didn’t want to be locked in for more. Reaves obviously wants a multi year deal…they’ll circle back if his phone never rings on Saturday…

Don’t see why it’s gross. Obviously players are willing and wanting to go there so they obviously know it’s a business and it’s a business of winning.
He’s an original player, they could have waited a day out of respect vs announcing who they spent his capspace on 15 minutes later..

What difference does it make if he was an original player or not.
Don’t see any difference than a player being moved from a team that drafted him the conventional way and trading him away to sign another player.
I just dont see Bedard turning into the generational talent everyone says he is. I think he’ll be very good with his elite shot, but I just dont see anything else special with his game…
I hope he is because we’ll be able to see alot of him in our division and in person at the X…
