I think Zegras did well there, good money for a bridge deal. If he can take a step forward with production and also maybe consider at least pretending to play a little defense then he should be able to cash in big in 3 years.

He’s from New York and his new contract lines up with Artemi Panarin’s expiring for the Rangers…New York loves a show, this kids game is all show…just saying…

Is this about Kirill or Zegras? Could even take Rangers legend Zuccy with him.

Wait nevermind he’s going to Florida where Bob’s contact is coming off the books.

    Too soon?

Honest question here. Has Rossi done anything this preseason to make anyone expect a jump in his game this season? I haven’t been paying much attention to the preseason, mostly because nothing have been televised.

From what I have been reading the added muscle has made him much stronger on the puck and he was much more tenacious if he were to lose the puck to get it back. These are all things they wanted him to work on which is great to hear.

For the first half of last season I did and I’ll stand by it…i’ll sleep just fine…no denying McDavid had an magical “80’s era” scoring season… if only we could have them switch teams and see what Kirill could do with Draisaitl and that Powerplay…

Hard for me to take you serious when you down play CM. As if he is just some Joe Schmo who happens to be getting points because he plays with LD.

That’s almost like saying Bedard is over hyped. Oh wait never mind.

That is good to hear. Hopefully that will translate into more success.

I watched him play the other day. He looked much better than the past until he muffed the penalty shot. After that he seemed to lose confidence.
Hard to say for sure because the Avs were playing scrubs, but he stood out against everyone other than KK, Zucc, and Harts.

lol, this reply is poor on many levels… Joe Schmo?? Wtf? There’s a reason I use the McJesus name for him all the time… I also happen to think Kirill is just as skilled, just minus the otherworldly speed… who wouldn’t want to see Kirill play with more skilled players to see what he’s truly capable of??? You??? Are you not a fan of hockey?

I also said multiple times I think Bedard is a perennial allstar, but I just dont see him as someone who will break records… maybe i’m wrong but I certainly wont crown him without 1 second of real NHL icetime under his belt…. He’s a good kid and a hot story, but the media just needs to pump the breaks a bit…. I mean TSN put him on their Top50 NHL players list today (read the comments on that story, tons of fans like me saying how is he on the list without playing 1 game?)

If he turns into this hockey god I’ll be the first to say I was wrong and enjoy the fact I’ll get to watch him so often in our division…

Well at least a perennial all star is more credit then you gave home several pages back.

“watching tonight, Bedard looks like any other 18 year old skilled rookie, the big difference I see is he has an amazing shot, which he showed on the Powerplay (but honestly he just picked a corner with about 5 guys screening the goalie) its an insane release though…

I just dont see any speed in his game right now other than his stick…”

Your wish for KK and Leon to play may just come to fruition when KK leaves Minny one year later than Leon leaving Edmonton. whistling

Just think how good Bedard will look with KK and LD on his wings in 2 years.

Sweet shot on goal, you’d think a perceived god like generational talent would have scored… he ended the game with 4 shots on goal for his full statline…start chiseling his name on the Calder trophy right now… devil

Here’s former Red Wings enforcer Darren McCarty doing the same move except he scored – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zqArFH7uYf0

Now Bedard in the same sentence as f…ing Darren McCarty…love it.

Apparently you missed the part of a 1 on 1 move vs a 1 on 4.

I know you don’t want to admit McDavid was the last generational talent but that was ten years ago now.

you must have forgot to read the part where I said he’ll be the Hawks allstar rep by default as they’ll be terrible for many years to come, so hence perennial…

Come on…..buy a clue on the hockey god sarcasm…

I can’t wait to read the told ya so posts when he scores…

Really you watch KHL stat lines and debate if they are legit. Then slot guys into the 2030 lineup rotflol

My favorite thread on IDO by the way…

To be fair the KHL is completely fuked. SKA has basically benched Khusnutdinov and given Michkov to a division rival. Would be like if last year the Wild healthy scratched Boldy half the games and gave Rossi to Nashville for the season, and then Rossi was actually good and had more points than anyone on the Wild. Seriously that league is wild I have no idea why they do the things they do. But everyone is just like oh yeah it’s pressure so they sign their next contract. Why would players extend with a team pulling that BS?!

Tswoboda with the receipts hahaha Love it! Bedard will be an allstar for the foreseeable future if no other reason than the blackhawks are trash and the NHL will want him on the big stage.

We ask those questions because we’re thinking from an American perspective, where most businesses are run legitimately. Russia is run by the Mob and Oligarchs (who own the teams) that answer to them, its scary stuff…Sad how the story about Mitchkov’s father has gone away…that’s not by accident…Look at Panarin’s history, the Flyers goalie… those are just the stories that have become public…
