Missed the entire game but just watched the recap and looked to be a pretty solid all around game for the entire team. Didnt seem to be any passengers and Gus looked like his old self which we need. Hoping Brodin injury isnt long term. Man have we had injuries!

oh there were passengers, the typically guys (Jojo, Freddy) mailed it in again…Boldy couldn’t hit the net, Gus only had about 6-7 tough saves, the Ducks are brutal… Marat, Rossi, Beckman and Kirill (obviously) all had good games, the rest were meh… Hynes even pulled Faber from the PP1 unit…Lots of online hate for the Brodin hit, but it was just a freak toepick after getting shoved by Killorn, happens every game…

Khusnutdinov getting his first NHL point by snapping a faceoff back to Jonny freakin Merrill is pure poetry. Speaking of Merrill, this last stretch of games has been his best all year. I don’t actually realize he’s playing most nights and that’s about the nicest thing you could ever say about Jon Merrill. I assume Mermis will finally draw back in for Brodin tonight.

Merrill had several brutal turnovers last night and a bunch of mishaps with the puck passed to him…the only difference is that his mistakes didn’t result in goals against…but as you pointed out, they don’t have any better solutions now that Brodin is out and Mermis will get playing time…

like I said with Brodin, the best the Wild can hope for is high ankle sprain and those are a pita to recover from…

I thought the most interesting thing from last nights game is Faber pulled from the PP1 unit…will be interesting to see if that continues tonight…I didn’t see anything wrong that he did the first few PP’s last night…

I wonder if we’ll see a forward play Defense tonight if Bogo can’t play the back to back, he appeared to re-injure his lower body injury last night but played through the rest of the game…

Been waiting for that to happen a little while now. Chisholm just looks the part of a natural PP qb, he’s a dynamic skater and snaps it around with confidence. Seemed to give the PP1 unit a little spark last night anyway

I didn’t notice any difference with how Chisholm played it, if anything Brock brings the variable of skating backdoor as an option…I wondered if it was due to Brodin getting hurt and Hynes knowing Faber will likely need to log huge minutes vs the Kings? I can’t remember if he was pulled before or after Brodin’s injury?

It was just to shake things up after the first 2 PPs of the game were a little stagnant, no playing time 4d chess here. They threw Chisholm with PP1 and that was the one where Boldy had like 3 grade-As and then Kirill finally scored in the scrum.

Brodin to have an MRI today

They said it wasnt an ACL so I think that is good news.

My guess is high ankle sprain…those suck to rehab and likely out 3-4 weeks at a minimum if he has zero setbacks (which is rare for that injury) and then he’s highly susceptible to re-injure it whenever he does get back… just terrible timing for this team…

Much needed win last night. Their remaining games against The Kings and the Golden nights are going to be huge. Most Likely need to win all 4 of them. That starts with tonight’s game. Bummer of a time for a injury to Brodin. The wild have been cursed with Injuries this season

Kinda strange the Wild aren’t offering an ELC to Servac Petrovsky, the kid has lit up the WJC tournament the last 2 years for Slovakia and he’s had a good OHL season…. I get we can only have 50 contracts signed but you’d think he would be somebody to hold on to…

So we’ll lose his rights and he goes back into the draft…

Its a Playoff pace to this game and we just can’t handle it… tough bounces but the Kings are exposing our makeshift defense and picking them to pieces…

Doesn’t help when one of their [checks depth chart] two NHL caliber defenseman is sitting in the box for a fighting major.

THe Fiala line is beating them up but other than that it was a 50/50 period at 5v5. 2 of the 3 goals were just trash bounces and that penalty on Boldy was soft as hell, PK non-existent

Brodin isn’t putting a jersey on for weeks at the very least, so they have 1 day of practice to figure this D lineup out…

What happened at 14:16 of the 3rd to cause the Refs to give ALL 10 players on the ice 10 minute misconducts?

    I went to sleep 5 minutes earlier…

Not much I’d call it an average hockey scrum. Refs are just getting lazy and giving everyone misconducts so they don’t have to actually make note of who was doing anything

Haha, this made me chuckle. Foligno is lucky when he fired that puck after it tipped off his stick it didnt go into the stands. He would have killed someone.

just watched the game replay, good lord talk about ALL the breaks going the Kings way and nothing for the Wild…4 of 6 Kings goals were off deflections and the Wild hit 3-4 pipes..no time to feel sorry for themselves, HUGE game on Saturday…
