Except he gave him the contract after a season that he basically had the exact same PPG. Weird his stats dropped from his career year playing first line center.
Oh and it’s 4 points in his last four games just sayin.

OK so now a middle 6 center scoring at 20g-30a-50p pace is not worth $4m AAV lol please tell me that was satire
Guess I didn’t realize how far Vegas had fallen in the standings until last night. They are in the 8th and final spot now. Didn’t they start the season like on a 10 game unbeaten streak?
I was ready to write off the Wild when they lost back to back games against the Blue and Preds, but now that they’re 6 points back of Vegas and the Knights seem to be reeling some, the 8th spot doesn’t seem completely unrealistic anymore.

Extend Marco 4 years at 1.5 now.
C’mon Gim you’re the scoreboard and standings expert around here, no slacking off during crunch time. Still a huge long shot for the Wild to sneak in, I certainly wouldn’t put any money on it.
What about Marcos current 10 game hot streak though.
Only his second best season point wise of his career. Pretty good for not showing up all year.
Well he is doing a pretty dang good job of being unnoticeable if that is true.
Sounds like Ek escaped major injury, will likely be out 2-3 games…
Hynes still wont confirm if Missle makes his debut tonight, but I couldn’t think of a better team to do it against and gain confidence…
I dont get the context of pulling a recent Hartman 10 game stat line vs Rossi’s without pulling similar data when Rossi was on scoring streaks this season?
Is this 10 game stretch enough to justify the big chunks of the season when Hartman was invisible?
No doubt Rossi has been in a scoring rut lately, but its not due to bad play, he and the guys he’s been setting up just haven’t been capitalizing on their chances (Zuccy and Jojo have struggled mightily scoring 5-5 this season)… no doubt Marco has had his own struggles with finishing this season, the fact he gets so many chances speaks to his play…
Yeah I really like Marco’s game, but he just isnt getting rewarded with pts right now and that happens to most of the guys. I sure hope Marat plays tonight, but they said he would if he was ready. WTF does he have to do to get ready? He isnt studying for a test or getting ready for surgery here.

Who pulled a Hartman 10 game stat line ??

sorry, I saw Rossi’s recent 10 game statline mentioned and thought thats what the little Hartman/Rossi image was from my phone screen
I like Rossi, I think he’s had a real nice season and I’ve said that many times. I posted the full comparison between him and Hartman to point out how bias the fanbase is in favor of Rossi and against Hartman. I’m not posting any of that to bring Rossi down, more just trying to show how crazy the Hartman hate is. Almost every stat line favors Hartman, yet he is described as invisible and a no show… all while Rossi is frequently called the teams most consistent player or their best player on many nights.

I need to find my previous post on this but holy hell it doesn’t get more bias than this
I guess the thing for me with Hartman as I see it is we just expect more out of him since he is a veteran and we really werent sure what the heck we would get from ROssi since he really struggled last year and its been a pleasant surprise. I will have much higher expectations for him next year for sure to get to another level again or he may be going down the road somewhere.

biased? Its just a fact nobody is finishing on a consistent basis besides the 1st line, they are getting plenty of chances just no finish…Rossi included… we dont have any other line combos to try, nobody else can score…
Maybe Marat can inject something in the bottom 9…
Have you ever said “the guys he’s been setting up just haven’t been capitalizing on their chances” about any other Wild player in history? Imagine Hartman having a 10 game streak with no points… you’d be sending him to the ECHL. Fiala had some slow starts with poor finishing and fans can’t scream any louder to get rid of him. Rossi goes 10 games without a point and it’s just “oh man they just need to finish their chances I guess”
That’s the #1 reason why i’m not a fan of us potentially making the playoffs, we absolutely dont have the depth scoring to win a series and that results in full pressure for the 1st line to score everything and outside of Kirill, Boldy and Ek have been mostly no shows in the playoffs (Ek mostly due to injury)
The Powerplay has been encouraging though…

HUGE difference in 10 games with no points and being invisible vs 10 games with no points but getting tons of chances but just not scoring…
If you can’t acknowledge that with Hartman then you’re not paying attention and this discussion will go nowhere…
I’ve only ever said Hartman could use a game in the pressbox to wake him up (which the Wild did last season) or a 4th line demotion (which happened recently) I mostly agreed with his extension (I thought $3 aav was fair) we had so many unknowns at center and i’m sure GMBG panicked at the thought of Hartman having another huge goal season playing with Kirill in a contract year) but i’d be willing to bet GMBG would take that contract back now if he could (that and taking a year off Foligno’s deal with his likely injury projection)
this discussion will go nowhere…
Oh it’s going somewhere, and that somewhere is page 200 baby
Hartman’s been a lightning rod among the fanbase for a couple years at least and this isn’t the first heated discussion where I’ve been pumping his tires
The issue I do have with Hartman is that he quits for spurts of games… he either quits skating and takes lazy/dumb penalties or he disengages from the play entirely and just goes through the motions, especially on faceoffs (which are comical at times)
if he could figure out how to consistently play the role of Dirty Rat he’d be worth that contract… I have worries he’ll be mostly a 4th line player after next season (baring top 9 injuries) and that’s just not good cap management by GMBG…
Perhaps the cap jumps the next few years will ease that pain or his limited trade clause open up the door to moving him…
Yeah hopefully in the next couple years Hartsy can continue to battle with Eriksson Ek for that legit #3C spot while #1C Rossi leads this team to the promised land

Cough Cough pi$$missile…

The same promised land Ek and Hartman have lead us to the past few years? Are 1st round exits your idea of promised land?
Oh and Ek has to figure out how to stay healthy too… thats kind of important…
Ek: Breaks his leg blocking a shot and gets deemed the “most irreplacable player” and “losing him is the reason they lost in the playoffs”.
Joe: Dude needs to learn how to not get hurt!
