Guentzel to the Canes is a big move for Carolina. The Pens are fading quickly. They are old, withered, and not competitive anymore against the younger, more skilled teams in the Metro. Its the end of an era there. The Caps aren’t much better off either, and they stomped Pittsburgh 6-0 last night.

Oh I don’t think either are getting moved at deadline. More of an off season move I was thinking.

Canes going with Kuzy as well, Washington only got a 3rd and are retaining 50% for another year…ouch!

Wow! I just can’t see Kuznetsov doing well in that Rod the Bod system, but who knows. Really shouldn’t be surprised though, no one loves clearance rack reclamation projects more than the Canes.

I know its crazy, but the Crosby rumors are fun for hockey fans, can you imagine Syd in Toronto?…That team is a great example of putting too many cooks in the kitchen…especially the Powerplay…They are all over the place in terms of contracts with 1 more season of Syd, 2 more for Gino, 3 more for Karlsson, 4 more for LeTang, Rackell and Jarry… They have 1 good prospect likely ready in 2 years, nothing much else and few draft picks…

What does Dubas do with that team?

If you look at the Pens their stars have hardly fallen off a cliff, it’s the bottom half of their lineup that might be the worst in the league. Incredible how good Sid’s last couple seasons have been at 35+ and Geno and the others have still been good too. When their big 4 does crater it could get real ugly real fast
