I guess we can count on zero points from the second line tonight.

It’s pretty obvious Hynes is balancing the bottom 3 lines ever since loading up the top line. Sure is fun to see the little freakouts before each game though jester

I can’t get over the whole Declan Chisholm waivers thing. Like we sit here and get Joe’s daily prospect updates for 5 years on the 1st and 2nd round pick guys like O’Rourke, Hunt, Lambos, Peart, etc. Guys who the team puts a ton of time and money into drafting and developing. And then one day in the middle of February they’re just like hey let’s grab this 24 year old NHL ready player for free and pop him right into the #4/#5 D spot. Just crazy how that works, hope this guy is the real deal and sticks around for awhile.

I guess so much for wanting to get Hartman going then huh? Just look at his lineup placement the past 4-5 games…

Lots of scouts saw potential with him resulting in many teams putting in a claim…to his credit, he played well game 1 and has continued to since then and is simply a better option right now than Hunt or O’Rourke (Lambos is still too green for NHL time)

It’s pretty rare for a waiver pickup to stay in the NHL long term so we’ll see how this plays out…as we’ve talked about before, the Jets had a tough decision to make and were stuck most likely losing somebody on waivers…the 3 week spurt of the Wild being god awful put us in position to grab him…

I believe there were 4 of them in the stanley cup finals last year.

Tank for Chisholm, I love it

Hynes and crew are clueless on what to do with lines 2-4 right now as nobody besides Hartman’s early January and Rossi’s recent few game goal streaks have been successful together…this is my big worry about this team potentially getting into the playoffs… The first line will get some 5-5 goals but will likely get slowed down a bit as most do in the playoffs and the backup scoring is just non-existant…so success will likely come down to special teams, which is our playoff specialty…

You think i’m suggesting it was on purpose? lol, good lord….i’m just saying that’s why we got him, we were I think 6th worst overall in the NHL at the time and thus had waiver priority over most everyone else..

He hasn’t called you for help yet? They’re mixing up lines, trying different things, it might look awkward but they’re winning games against good teams. Rossi is still top 6 in 5v5 TOI over the last few games, and Hartman is actually leading the team I think.

Previous years they’ve had really steady forward lines and split the talent up but that wasn’t exactly a recipe for playoff success either. And this 1st line is significantly better than any line the Wild have ever had, in both production and raw talent.

No no no not at all, just having a laugh. I said the same thing a few pages back about how it’s the worst they’ve been in the standings in probably 10 years, finally tanking after fans calling for it for years. And now they have Chisholm to show for it jester

I just hope that Mojo, Freddy and Zucc can some how jell and turn 3 guys doing nothing 5 on 5 to actually producing offense.
If those three together don’t show some results give them 4th line minutes or break the line up.
Mojo is lucky to get playing time with the way he has not produced.
Why do they keep him on the pp?

Yeah I guess I don’t see Mojo as the big issue. He is slightly off his career scoring average but not by much. .53 vs .48
He gets paid 2 mill to play in a top six role.
I guess I just don’t have real high expectations out of him at this point in his career but he is fairly responsible when on the ice at both ends.
He has never been a big goal scorer ever. He has hit 20 goals twice in his career and that was back in 2017.

Seen that play a bunch now.
I liked the mite video that was going around in how to stop the Michigan. Basically the mite goalie just put his stick right to the dome of the little dude trying to come around the net and he fell down.

I’ll see if I can find it. It was pretty funny

What’s wrong with Brodin? He isn’t supposed to score.

That goal to end the 2nd was a killer… really bad goal given away by the top line.

Canes are incredible in their own zone, not many chances at 5v5 against defense like that.

Blues lose and Preds win. As good as the wild have played they just can’t make up that much ground. Think Preds have won 6 in a row now. Few days ago when Blues held WC we were 2 points out now 6 pts back of Preds. They better figure out a way on Thursday.

Just keep talking smack about the guys we need to produce. It seems to work almost every time. Except Gaudreau. I don’t think it matters where you put him. He’s about as worthless as a football bat.. As for the game last night, they got outplayed & had a chance to win, but just couldn’t hold on. Really could have used a PP goal to seal the deal.

On a side note, couple of you guys are really goods with stats. How has the PP and PK ranked this month compared to the rest of the league? I feel they have been much, much better on both as of late.

Plug him into that line with Zucc! Can’t be any worse. Johansson has woken up a little bit the last month but man he coughs up the puck worse than our old pal Dumba.
