Yup different reasons for throwing them away. And they gain nothing from getting rid of either. So why do it?

I already said why. Beckman deserves a shot elsewhere its clear he isnt going to get it here. Merrill, well, he is terrible and has another year on his contract.

Yeah I know that’s why you want to get rid of them. But what does the Wild gain from getting rid of either of them? nothing

A pick for Beckman in the least and more pucks for Merrill Id imagine.

Yo if Billy G could get a conditional 7th for Adam Beckman, I would 100% be on the send him out of town bandwagon. He would also be the automatic GM of the year award winner.

i’m excited to see Chisholm tomorrow, Winnipeg was pissed to lose him so he just wasn’t a throwaway…

Exactly, they were forced into a situation they had no other options. I’m tempering expectations just based on the fact he’s played like 10 games this season.

Nice small run the team is on. Too bad they are going to lose because I will be at the game.

It’s only one period, but I like what I see in Chisholm. Nice size too.

Those “wear to the rink” outfits by the Devils vs Philly Stadium series are hilarious!

Per Russo’s latest Wild Insider, there was an interesting and confusing statement by GMBG, regarding Marat and Danila, GMBG said “Hopefully we can get these guys over here as soon as possible because I think they’re both ready”

So to me that sounds like all of this talk about the Wild being fine with Danila signing another 1 year deal is BS, they want to sign them asap, its the players who’ve refused….

Looks like a matinee slate on tap against the vaunted Canucks today.

If you want to hear the quote’s context, listen to Russo filling in for Barreiro yesterday morning because that’s where all those BG quotes were from. Russo asked him whether or not Yurov talking about how he had gotten better terms on a Russian show a few days ago meant he had actually signed. BG said he hadn’t actually signed, but that the whole Russia/USA negotiations are really confusing and there is a lot odd things that go on during them. I took it as there’s still a tiny chance he doesn’t sign in BG’s mind but I’m not holding my breath.

BTW nice debut from Chisolm. Moves the puck pretty easily and a nice skater. Now send Merrill to the minors. Russo is also making it sounds like Freddie might be heading to the press box soon. Hines has not been happy with that line and will likely put Shaw there soon.

RIP Faber for Calder campaign, it was a good run. Bedard had 3 points in his first 2 games back and had another goal waived off for off-sides. The Hawks only scored 4 total goals. There’s gonna be a lot of upset Wild fans when the Calder trophy gets announced.

Really the ONLY card GMBG can play with Yurov is offering him a roster spot on the Wild and promising he won’t send him down to the AHL. The ELC deal is what it is, they can increase the signing & performance bonus structure within set limits, but NHL ELC base pay is locked in based on the position drafted & term is based on age…

IF the timing worked out when his KHL season ends, they could also sign him to his ELC this season and burn the 1st year (which sounds like they are doing with Marat)

My only worry about him signing another 1 year deal with KHL Mettelburg is that it gives more time for the KHL SKA Team Owner (one of the richest people in the world) to offer him just a ridiculous long term contract to stay in the KHL…he needs superstars to fill the seats in his new “Largest & most expensive Hockey arena in the World”….

Ultimately it’s up to what Danila wants to do…

yeah, I watched both of those games, if they score, he’s most likely going to be involved in it…I was surprised nobody was finishing their checks on him…When did bodyguard Nick Foligno apparently become so feared?

Faber’s only shot is if Bedard gets hurt again…not winning it will help with his extension negotiations though…

They could offer Yurov a max of $3.5m in performance bonuses and $2.5m of that bonus money is almost unattainable unless he has a Kaprizov level rookie season. Yurov staying in Russia surprises me considering he was actually at his NHL draft and talked about how he was dead set on playing in the NHL.

Plus he said he really wanted to play with Kirill. I sure hope they can get him over here so we can see him first hand.
