Yesterday morning the KFAN guys ran through the Thursday Night Football schedule for the rest of the year. If I were Amazon shelling out all that money to broadcast TNF I would at least have a conversation with the NFL about the scheduling starting next year. I would not want to be paying that kind of money when it’s becoming a well-known fact that TNF has the worst games of the week.

I’m sure it has already been discussed. I haven’t watched a TNF game nor do I anticipate watching one so it’s a moot point with me.

BTW, is there another sports station in town besides KFAN? Is KSTP 1500 still doing sports? Reason I ask is I tried listening to them the other day (Wed) I think and they are still as bad as the last time I tried 3 years ago. How anybody can listen to that morning show and Paul Allen is beyond me. FYI I would need to listen on iheart radio or on-line if there is another option.

I was thinking last night, wondering if Al Michaels thought WTF did I do this? LOL

i agree….i would rather take a fork in the face than listen to the FAN from 6 to 12. common is the best show on there me boy and even his schtick gets old at times. lots of good podcasts available at anytime that are geared for what you want to hear about.

no kidding…..i heard that the Broncos have 4 or 5 primetime games. who the F wants to watch that trainwreck with Russ. just brutal to watch. there are actually a lot of teams that i thought would play better and its the complete opposite.

Green Bay loses at home to the lowly Jets. Boo birds at Lambeau.

Tampa loses on the road to the lowly Steelers as well. Not sure how the Giants are 5-1 either. Didn’t see that one coming.

What is going on in GB? Did not see either of the games vs the NY teams and did not see that outcome coming!

Interesting stats on Roughing calls and Brady “gets all the calls”:
In the last five years (including the first five weeks this year), Brady is 17th in the NFL with 10 roughing calls on players against him. Matt Ryan is first with 28, Carson Wentz second with 25, Josh Allen third with 24. The retired Ryan Fitzpatrick was roughed nine more times than Brady over the past five seasons.

In the last 10 years (including the first five weeks this year), Brady is eighth in the league with 25 roughing calls on players against him.

Comparing apples versus apples, or comparing immobile older quarterbacks, Brady has gotten .17 roughing flags per game over the past decade. Matt Ryan has gotten .29 per game.

RB Christian McCaffrey has been traded to the 49ers for draft picks.

Its a dumpster fire in Carolina. They’ve fired their coach, traded away Robbie Anderson, and now traded away their best offensive player.

San Fran was a pretty good team even before they landed McCaffrey. They were potentially going to win their division. They are starting to see some injuries on the defensive side of the ball, but this should only help their cause on offense. He will suit up against KC on Sunday.

49ers going all in, as they traded basically their next 2 drafts for Lance and McCaffery. Pretty risky considering Lance is already injured and McCaffery is often injured.

That’s a hefty investment for a team without a real difference maker at QB. I have no doubt they will make the playoffs and beat many mediocre and bad teams, but eventually they’re going to run into a scenario where they will need 30+ points to stay alive. I just don’t see it.

For what it’s worth, the sample size on Lance was small…but I’d bet the farm that he isn’t the answer, rather an overreach and waste of draft capital.

Tua & Hurts were both labeled a over-reach also. Little early to write the kid off yet. If you need to write somebody off his name is Fields.

That’s a solid WOW on McCaffrey. Not like Carolina was going anywhere but that is still a big move.

I’m betting my life savings that the Packers will not choke in the playoffs this year.

…Bucs get embarrassed by a team trying to tank, and the Packers do too. The NFL is turning the page and the new Chapter isn’t going to involve Brady or Rodgers.

Some crazy stuff in today’s games! Packers lose to Taylor Hieneke and the Commanders! Seems like a meltdown is brewing in GB.

And… is Tom Brady finally washed up? I would have rather him gone out on top, or close to it. Getting basically shut out by the Panthers? With PJ Walker at QB and just traded away your best player? Wow!

Starting to remind me of the last years guys like Favre and McNabb had (ironically/unfortunately both of those were in purple). I can’t fault a guy for always wanting to play the game, but the most recent memories for a lot of people might be a bad season that had high expectations and a bunch of talent.

Seems like a down year for the NFL in general as far as interesting/marquee matchups. A few games like Bills/Chiefs have been great, but so far the TNF, many of the SNF, and most of the MNF games have been awful matchups. I strongly looked forward to the Vikings bye week falling on a 70-degree October day and got a lot done today. Thought I’d try folding some laundry while watching SNF without knowing who the matchup was and saw it was a downward-trending Steelers against a not-that-exciting-to-me Dolphins. No thanks.

    but so far the TNF

The Thursday night games have been mostly terrible. Couple that with the fact that you can’t watch it on a normal channel, it’s straight up bush league. I hope it’s a complete bust and the ratings plummet.

Sunday night football next week is Green Bay at Buffalo. Good luck to the cheeseheads lol

So Tua said in a press conference his initial injury was indeed a back injury? Hmm, that doesnt pass the eye test for me, but he looked pretty good yesterday.

Well I watched the Packers game yesterday, and whoof that was a terrible performance. Unrecognizable on offense, you can tell Rodgers is pissed about his WR’s and blames them for everything, even when he misses them. I really expected a top 5 defense out of them, and they are marginal at best. For all the smack that secondary talks they got owned by Heneike and some just ok WR’s. And their special teams is terrible. I still expect them to rebound for a playoff spot, but they sure don’t scare anyone imo.

Packers, playoffs this year??? Their remaining schedule is brutal, and they lost to Washington. I think they are finished if they don’t pull the upset next week vs. the Bills.

The Bills would have to be completely asleep. They are at home, after a bye, and clicking on all cylinders. Should be a thing of beauty.
