Parsons is just relentless and WAY too athletic for NFL tackles. He just runs around them like they are standing still, definitely on pace for a historic season and has to be the leader for DPOY at this point (especially with Watt out).

If anything, it should put him on the hot seat. Not sure how keeping Jimmy should put him on the hot seat. Time will tell on Lance, but the 49ers have one of the best and deepest rosters in the league so even if Lance is a miss Lynch has the equity to overcome it. But Lance being a miss won’t be known until at least after next year, possibly the following if Lance is decent next year. The Micah Parsons thing is a reach too, since A. they didn’t trade with the Cowboys and B. he was the 12th pick, so there were 11 other teams that chose not to take him too, and C. even without trading up for Lance there is no saying the 9ers would have taken Parsons at 12 either.
You’re right – hot seat is not the right word…but spending that much draft capital to do a complete circle is far from a feat that should be celebrated.
They have a talented win-now type roster. Spending that type of capital for a project QB seems to be a mistake. They had the opportunity to either utilize 4 draft picks to better their team near the top end of the draft, or trade those in some combination for proven players. I think the 49ers are more likely to go on a playoff run with Garoppolo than Lance. The goal is still to win right?

I simply said that pick turned into Micah Parsons…nothing more. It shows the POTENTIAL value that was out there. It’s very early, but so far the Lance trade is looking like a miss when you look at the collective assets they moved for a guy who isn’t the best QB on their roster. It seems like the 49ers threw up a hail mary when they did not need to.
Rough week in fantasy for me, lol. All 3 of my WRs were hurt and Trey Lance got carted off the field in the 1st quarter. Looks like I’m streaming a QB for awhile…
That Miami Baltimore game was wild. Wish I would have seen more of that one.
If you drafted Lance there should be plenty of good QBs available.
Wow. What a clinic by the Eagles offense to start the game.
I think Mike Zimmer is back as D=back coach.
The Bills look like they could go undefeated and man are they fun to watch. Pretty funny how things can change so quickly in a week. Last week it was the Vikes are going to the Super Bowl and this week its coaching sucks. Just hilarious listening to KFAN today.
Some tough match ups this week. I think the Packers will lose down against the bucs. That Defense just looks tough and the Packers are still trying to figure out the offense.
I think the Lions take down the queens this week as well. That team is starting to turn it around.
How about the Vikings and 49ers trade QB’s. I’d take Jimmy everyday over Cousins. Vikings could even throw in a van full of footballs.

You’d have to be an idiot to think Garrapolo is a better QB than Cousins. Raw stats indicate that Cousins is clearly a much higher quality QB and its not even close. Garrapolo might have a better record but his stats really are not that good. The niners have generally had much better defenses and better coaching in recent years than the vikings and their record is a reflection of that, not their QB play.
Then there’s the durability/injury comparison too. Cousins hasn’t missed a game in his career. Jimmy G gets hurt every season.
Lots of things went wrong for the Purple and Yellow yesterday, but one of the biggest issues they had was playing from behind. The team is so much better when they can establish. run game, and giving Cook 6 carries a game doesn’t win games. I get the negative game script and everything, but you have to give that man the ball at some point, right?
but you have to give that man the ball at some point,
Very true seems like establishing the run has been pushed down the priority list. If you want a good way to take the crowd out of it you pound the football keep their defense on the field and run out the clock. To say the least I have not been impressed by the playcalling when it comes to runs and run blocking as well. Kirk has historically played the best when we run the ball and control the game then he can roll out of the pocket and take shots downfield. When we did throw it felt like there was very little scheming that went into getting our WRs open.
I was expecting a better run game last night, but don’t think this offense is ever going to be a run first ball control offense. Plus the Eagles have a massive front, so inside the box runs were going to be few and far between.
Pretty crazy start to the season NFL wide, but the first 4 weeks are always a crapshoot until tendencies are revealed and the cream always rises.
Man Buffalo just dominated Tennessee. To have both teams pull there starters by the end of the 3rd quarter basically. An old school beat down.

Yeah that was a back shed whupping! Something is up in Tennessee, it seems like a decade ago, but just last year they were the #1 seed in the AFC.

well I’m a proud idiot then. Jimmy has taken his team alot further in the playoffs then the “choke” cousins has. Stats don’t mean jack Squat if you can’t win under pressure. Something cousins rarely accomplishes.

There is not a single GM in the league that is going to even consider that.

frankly it’s my opinion and I don’t give 2 sh!!s what you think.

not if you play in 18 team high stakes leagues……just saying not every league is built the same.

good thing they play in such an awful division. they will be in the mix if i had to bet on it. henry is such a beast that can carry his team unless he is finally losing his legs? Vrabel is one of the best and has a proven track record especially down the stretch. Bills look tough to beat but anything goes late in the year

Yeah, that division is garbage, so they should be in the mix. Henry looks like he aged 10 years though, so without him it’ll probably be a 8-9 record that wins that division lol.

It’s too bad that division is going to automatically get someone into the playoffs.

There’s usually one “dud” division every season. I can recall Seattle winning their division with a 7-9 record one season years ago. Win your division and you automatically get a home playoff game.
After a majority of the Week 3 games are completed, it’s looking like there’s a ton of parity in the league this year.
Some of the “favorites” have looked extremely mediocre (or terrible)in spots:
Bucs
Packers
Bills
Chargers
Chiefs
Vikings
Bengals
Rams
The Eagles keep taking care of business with a very talented roster. The Raiders were a whole pile of hype for exactly 0 wins so far. The Dolphins have tons of flash so far with tons of weapons.
Another weird weekend in the NFL, which is why it is the best imo. Anyone have the Chiefs losing to the Colts? Titans over the Raiders? Dolphins over the Bills with a combined 40 points? Panthers over the Saints? Or the Packers, Bucs, 49ers and Broncos scoring a combined 47 points? One thing Zimmer often said, that I think is totally accurate, is early in the season it’s a crapshoot and you don’t really have a good read on a team until after week 4.
A lot of teams seem really sloppy on offense with having guys not lining up correctly or knowing what play it is. The Bucs really messed up their 2 pt conversion attempt with not having everyone on the same page.
