Week 18’s game in Green Bay against the Lions could very well decide who goes to the playoffs. The kitties won the first game earlier this season. As it stands, they are both 7-8 right now. Detroit blew a massive opportunity on Saturday when they lost to Carolina, a team purposefully trying to tank this season.

BigWerm, Jones is hurting so getting a lot of touches hasn’t happened the last few weeks. That’s the rumor anyway.

Still think Washington gets in. Cleveland then Dallas who will have nothing to play for. Both at home.

Funny info from a previous discussion somewhere in the thread:

NFC Playoff QB’s and their drafted round as of right now: Hurts 2nd, Cousins 4th, Purdy Mr Irrelevant, Brady 6th, Dak 4th, Daniel Jones 6th overall, Heinicke Undrafted.

Meanwhile in the AFC: Allen No 7 overall, Mahomes 10th overall, Burrow No 1 overall, Tannehill 8th overall, Lamar 32nd overall, Herbert 6th overall, and Tua 5th overall.

Always gotta be one guy… rotflol Kind of interesting even among the top picks, there’s quite a few that I think most people don’t think or at least still have questions on being THEE guy: Wentz, Jones, Tannehill, Lamar and Tua. And maybe Herbert depending on his performance this post season.

So basically, of all the top 1st round picks spent on QB’s in all the drafts, we’re left with Mahomes, Burrow, and Allen as bonafide superstar QB’s on Playoff teams.

Ha I just found it funny that they are going back to Wentz now.
I think it shows you just how hard it is to win the Super Bowl and like a GM and coach the QB is the first to be questioned.

I think/hope info like that shows how hard it is to pick players out of college in the draft. I know every random dude on the internet thinks they could nail a draft, but I recall an article I read about an independent group that recently evaluated drafts going back to about 1986 and they found no stand-out evidence that ANY NFL TEAM over that period stuck out as a better drafting franchise than others. It’s obviously a best-educated-guess gamble. Some guys work out, of course, but there are plenty of franchises even over the past two years that are already seeing their highly-drafted QB may not be their answer.

Probably one of the worst drafters, Bill Belicheck, also had the greatest dynasty in NFL history. Development is far more important than drafting imo.

Washington will be starting QB Carson Wentz on Sunday against the Browns, benching Taylor Heineke.

Since trading away Kirk Cousins in 2017, Washington has gone through 12 quarterbacks.

The Commanders currently occupy the 7th seed and final playoff spot at 7-7-1, holding a slim 1/2 game lead over the Seahawks, Lions, and Packers, who all sit at 7-8.

Additionally, the Las Vegas Raiders have benched QB Derek Carr in favor of QB Jared Stidham. Stidham will be starting against the 49ers.

Belicheck gets the most out of who he has. On paper, their current roster is real thin on NFL talent, yet they still hover around .500 with 2 weeks left. If you gave the roster TB has to Belicheck, they’re a 10+ win team with ease.

The last spot in the NFC playoffs should go down to the wire. I think Washington has the inside track, with GB next in line. The Lions gave up over 380 yards in the first half against Carolina last week showing they will not likely win out. The Vikings can’t afford to rest anyone yet if they want the 2 seed, so the game at Lambeau should be a dogfight. With the Vikings +3, I threw them in to a tease parlay at +10. I see that game being somewhere in the line of Vikings by 10 to Packers by a last second FG

All due to one single player.

False, without Belicheck there is no Brady, and without Brady there is no Belicheck, but the dynasty was about the entire team. Many of those championships were as much due to their defense as Brady/the offense. And I’m a HUGE Brady fan.

What’s Belicheck’s record without Brady? whistling
It safe to say Brady was more important.

The Raiders are a train wreck. What a gift to the 49ers, they will get rolled. Josh McDaniels should go back to OC he is not head coach material.

Looks like the Eagles are going to lose to the Saints at home. The top seed in the NFC is still in play.

The Giants have clinched the 6 seed.

Washington is going to lose, keeping the 7 seed in play. Wentz threw 2 interceptions today. They might go back to Heineke next week.

The Lions kept their chances alive by walloping the Bears.

Tampa looks like they will win and clinch the NFC South. They will be the 4 seed.

Never seen anything like this… The Bills and Bengals game is currently suspended. Very serious injury to one of the Bills defensive players and CPR was administered and he was taken off the field by ambulance.

I rewinded back to the play and it didn’t appear to be anything out of the ordinary. He made the tackle, stood back up, and then fell over.

All the fans are still there and the assumption is that they are going to continue otherwise they would have made an announcement telling everyone to leave.

I’d imagine they are waiting until they hear his status. Imagine trying to continue a game after seeing your teammate go through this and not knowing if he’s okay. Continuing the game is low priority for them right now.

Do you really think they’re going to announce his status though? If it’s the worst outcome, they aren’t going to out of respect for the family.

I’m also reading that in addition to CPR, a defibrillator was needed.

They just announced an official suspension of the game, at least for this evening. All the fans are leaving.

As soon as I saw the replay, I figured his heart had stopped due to a prior undiagnosed heart condition. I recently watched part of a video by a Covid vaccine conspiracy theorist that showed instance after instance of people suddenly collapsing in a similar matter. I don’t know if these types of cases are on the rise or not and if the jab is related or not. Not ruling it out, that would be as foolish as believing that Oxy wasn’t addictive. Take the experts’ word for it, caveat emptor.

At Bass Boat Central, there is speculation it was due to the hit, like a hockey puck or baseball to the right part of the chest.

Well I’m sure there a bunch of doctors there. whistling

It’s called Commotio Cordis. Survival rate is not great.

Can’t imagine being on the field seeing your teammate like that.

Commotio Cortis. Blunt trauma to the chest that stuns/stops the heart. Surprised it doesn’t happen more often. Pro athletes usually wear sensors under the pads that indicate events like this. Shoutout 1st Responders.

But Im sure it’s because of the vax… clowns

Very rare as the impact has to be very hard in a very small area and at a critical moment in time during the cycle of the heart beat.

I am sure we will find out the the results of what exactly happened.

    Hopefully this young man survives.

His mom was at the game and witnessed her son getting resuscitated in front of 50k+ people… every parent’s worst nightmare on steroids. Hoping for the best for that young man! Sounds like his vitals are stabilized and he’s intubated now… just hope there wasn’t irreversible damage.

They are the men in the arena. We have no clue how dangerous those hits can be. Praying for a positive outcome.
