Interesting that he signed a PTO with the baby Wild. They could use him since the big club is taking away a lot of bodies.

So many Russo twitter followers just mad about the Pitlick deal.
    Wish him luck in Montreal.
It kind of makes me chuckle.
That fourth line is going to have some speed and energy.

Probably the same ones who always whined about the Wild having too many players that are “one of us”.
I wish him well, it would have been cool if it had worked out. The way Dewar has looked he is more the player for that spot anyway.

If you are planning to go to a game soon. I was just informed by the Wild that St. Paul and Minneapolis will be mandating proof of vaccine/negative test for all bars and restaurants by the end of this month.
Good bye downtown St Paul. It was a good run.

January 19th is what I just read on Twitter. Negative Test if unvaxxed. Test results within 72 hrs. Seems somewhat manageable, but I agree with you.

St Paul will only apply it to businesses that are licensed by the city.

What does licensed by the city mean? Wouldnt any establishment have to be licensed by the city to operate?

The article said that any establishment which serves food or drink in person. I assume that venues such as a restaurant or bar must maintain an annual license with the city to operate. I am not sure about the arena itself though, which is why I asked. I’m sure there will be some clarification on this soon.

It doesnt appear to matter anyway because the X just announced the same policy per Russo.

The new policy applies to sporting venues according to the last article I read.

I guess I’d be more upset about losing Fiala than Dumba. I don’t really get the hype that Dumba still gets. He is lack luster on D, can’t change direction AT ALL, and hasn’t come close to putting up offensive numbers like he did three or four years ago. He hasn’t had more than 24 points since 17-18.

I get that he’s a majority of the heart and soul of this team but it doesn’t get much more MN sports than making your heart and soul guy overpaid. Yes he blows someone up once a game, and he’s had some injuries but is his game really worth the money he is/going to be making?

Manageable for who? Huge headache for the venue.
You don’t think they will just magically take this away?
    This is just the start?
I for one don’t think it’s anyones business where I am coming and going to and from.

    Sorry rant over.
This one just hit a nerve with me because myself and son can not get vaccinated for medical reasons.

I think it boils down to which of these two players the Wild want to keep long term. Fiala clearly is at the highest risk of not being around. Dumba by all accounts does all the right things

Everything you need to know about Fiala and Dumba was on display in the last game.

Fiala was riding the pine for 9 minutes in the third period. He was clearly sulking after he didn’t like criticism about his play. You could clearly read his lips when he finally said I’m sorry to Eveson and then he got put back in the game.

Dumba is wearing the A for a reason. He makes mistakes but he is 100% effort and takes accountability. If it comes to one player or the other and having to choose there’s no doubt in my mind who goes.

I honestly think there is a good chance both will not be here long term. It’s unfortunate but pretty hard to keep the same group intact anymore. Much harder for the Wild in the coming years.

Be interesting to see how much if any attendance the X will lose with this new restriction. I’m guessing the majority of people in the Cities are vaccinated and it won’t bother them one bit. Masks are required as well unless eating or drinking. Should give the food and beer vendors a boost.

Out state has a lot more unvaccinated people so they might lose some out state attendance. For me I’m just sick of this heavy handed push and the ostracizing and punishment of people who chose not get the vaccine. Like Ripjiggen points out he and his son can’t get the vaccine for medical reasons but he and his son are punished right along with the rest of the unwashed.

I wouldn’t mind seeing Dumba go down the road. He’s obsessed with his own shot and it’s not working anymore but he continues to shoot even when it may not be the right play.

oh I hear ya man in the same boat as you but from what I’ve heard they will have apps to speed up the process so it shouldn’t be a major impact to staff. I agree this sucks. Hopefully you can find a way to still go. I don’t go to many games so I will sit in the luxury of my own home.

Ripjiggen, I’m pretty sure you can use a negative test as long as it’s within 72 hrs.

Feasible for a game here and there not so much for a season ticket holder. Will be giving away many tickets to family and friends now.

It makes little sense with this variant as it does not seam to care if you are vaxxed or not. This is a very slippery slope to mandate something like this IMO.
    What’s next?
If a certain establishment wanted to enact this? Fine I understand their concern I will go else where.
Because I can’t get vaxxed I have to prove that I am not positive but the guy sitting next to me doesn’t. Yeah urine off.

Guessing when the numbers decline drastically in two weeks these two ding dongs will think this had something to do with it.

Don’t want to turn the one thread I enjoy on IDO that hasn’t had any Covid talk (outside of players and game delays) into one so I will move on.

For the record, I hate the passport issue. Hopefully because so many people are being infected so quickly with this strain we should get through it faster and things go back to whatever normal will be again. That would suck for a season ticket holder.

Evason on Pitlick. We wanted him to get used to a bottom six role and to play better defense. It’s not all about fancy stick handling and scoring goals.
The Wild have a history with this. Turn a smooth skating smooth hands and a scoring touch guy into a bottom six grinder. Conversley if they have a solid defensemen they want him to step up into the play more and shoot the puck.:???:

Pitlick is Ryan Donato but a better skater and worse shot. They can only play a top line style but aren’t good enough to play on the top line.

Sounds like Chycrun may be available. Be nice to plug him in next to Gologoski.

Yeah, that would be awesome but we’d have to shed a bunch of contracts to do it and only further pushing our future prospects out. He is legit though.

Reports are the Coyotes asking for a Jack Eichel trade type of return on any Chychrun trade. And that’s really not out of line since he’s paid < $5m for 3 more seasons… contending teams will pony up for that contract.

His next contract is going to be a monster.

If Chychrun was a right handed shot then the Wild would likely entertain some type of trade since his contract comes due when the Suter/Parise hits come off the books and the cap is expected to take a big jump. Arizona has EIGHT draft picks in the first 2 rounds of this years draft and are looking for multiple other high picks in any trade for Kessel or Chychrun… Won’t they potentially run into an issue where they can’t even sign some of those draft picks just due to the 50 contract limit rule? I know this is a 1-2 year down the road issue, but it will be an issue…They are currently at 46/50 contracts…

Basically their entire team except for Chychrun, Keller, and Schmaltz are pending Free Agents… they do not need to worry about not having enough pro contracts available lol. If anything, The Yotes are dumping every contract possible because they are getting sold or moved in the near future.

Anyone watching The NHL on TNT? The studio show is freaking hilarious. I don’t ever remember laughing watching a hockey show and they’re making me bust up every single time they’re on. Can’t help but wonder how long until Biz gets cancelled, but I will enjoy it until he does!

That Chicklets episode with BG was superb!
