Fredrick is a POS…not even mad about the hit on KK. Vulnerable spot tough angle. He had one job tonight and it wasn’t to play skilled hockey. Doesn’t help that he is a former Badger. Tried to start a fight with the smallest guy on the ice. That’s like moose trying to go after the rat every shift.
Gonna be tough to send Rossi down as you are running out of healthy bodies.
IMO you don’t send a guy down after 1 game. 2-3 sure…1 game doesn’t make sense to me.
Hard not to think about if Foligno brother would have signed with the Wild this year. Not a game changer but much better than some of the cats we have tried to pair with Fiala all season.
Going to have to battle through the next couple weeks till they get healthy.
Overall their D is small which is why I said a while back that trading Dumba or
Addison should be a possibility for more size. They are virtually they same player skill wise and one is smaller than the other but either should be able to get you more size on the back end with some skill.
For those that thought Benn would be a gritty guy well he hasn’t been an NHL caliber D man for a while now.

They won’t send Rossi down until his 9 games are up in order to fill the C slot hole hopefully until Ek gets back….

Like I said, the goofy schedule only has us playing 3 games in the next 15 days, so we’ll have time to get guys healthy without missing alot of games.

Yeah Fred is a total joke… reminds me of Antoinee Roussel type player. Nick Foligno scored his first goal of the season like a week ago and he’s making $3m+ right? Wild dodged a bullet there IMO.

Kinda crazy with all the postponed games that JEEK may only miss like 5 games with what I’m assuming is a broken collar bone. Hoping for the best with KK but that limp arm going down the tunnel is never a good sign.

    Ready for big kahk szn.

Would you take him over Freddy hockey at 1.2 and Benn at just shy of 1 mill?
The Bruins are bottom 10 in the league in scoring overall so maybe that has something to do with it.
Hell Benn makes more money than Merril. Give me Merril all day over Benn.
Your boy would be getting way more playing time right now then.

No……… I think NICK Foligno is washed. Had a really down year last year, then major back problems when he went to the Leafs, and now 1 goal a third of the way through the season. Had to look it up, Bruins paying him $3.8mil for 2 years with NMC/NTC – that’s outrageous. I don’t like Jamie Benn and wish he wasn’t on the team, said that since day 1. But the beauty of those $1m contracts is they can be waived and sent to the AHL for no cap hit. $3.8m basically can’t be buried as we’ve all witnessed first hand with Rasky.

Edit: had to clarify it’s Nick Foligno who’s washed, not Marcus. Don’t need anyone trying to cyber-murder me.

I think they both may get sent down merely because Iowa will be playing and Minnesota will not to get them games. They have a huge break after Saturday. We will see I guess.

I was thinking that, but with as thin as they are, I think they would rather he practiced and worked out with the Wild vs risking injury in meaningless (in the grand scheme of things) Iowa games?…but they also could do the Iowa shuffle game for the salary cap savings…

This was the main reason I was thinking they would as well. With as depleted as they are, they may keep them up just so they can practice with a more full roster. Sucks we are dealing with mounting injuries and covid now. All teams seem to go through it but with our schedule its probably the best timing to get healthy.
I was impressed by Boldy last night. Rossi wasnt as impressive, but I think he had a decent game. He will get stronger with time, he’s 20 and going against guys 10 years older. Bergeron took him to task on faceoffs a couple times, but who doesnt LOL

The wild are starting to run out of bodies. KK doesn’t sound good. Bjugstad is going to be a month and a half. Still don’t really know how long EK and Spurg will be out. This is definition of adversity for Deano. If he can keep this afloat during this time I think this team can come back even stronger when it returns to full health. A lot of the really good teams go through similar situations and I think it helps in the long run.
Would be a good time for Fiala to catch a little fire.

They can stash all the waivers exempt guys on the taxi squad to save cap space and still have them practice with the team… just like they were up until yesterday. Doubt they want to send anyone to Iowa temporarily just due to covid BS.

Wild have been pretty lucky with injuries for a long time so it’s all catching up right now… nice to have the postponed games at least.

I didn’t want to jinx it but since you started it… Kevin Fiala 3 game point streak watch – he’s heating up.

last cryptic word from GMBG a week ago is that he said Ek and Spurgeon were 2-3 weeks away from returning, that puts them possibly coming back in 2 weeks, we only play 3 games in the next 15 days… so that’s a bit uplifting…obviously Kaprizov’s injury is key as he’s been our main offense all season, I don’t think we have the defensive talent/mindset anymore to win alot of 1-0/2-1 games, so we’ll need to find new scoring, perhaps Boldy can provide some of that, but as mentioned, we really need Fiala to step up now that he’s our #1 scoring option…

That’s true I keep forgetting about the reinstated the Taxi Squad.
I am not much of a standings watcher, but wow have they flipped recently. Wild 4th, but 1 pt back of 2nd with games in hand on two of the teams above them. The Avs just keep winning and have played less games than all of the teams up top.

Look at winning percentage Muskie. With the way cancelations of games are going looking at points is well pointless. jester

    Shout it from the rooftops

Oh I know guys, Im not worried or anything, but in the end its the pts that matter, but youre right that doesnt matter now because they havent played the same amount of games. They are doing fine and once they get caught up things will shake out. The Avs are going to be the team to beat. I thought I read somewhere that the Preds have played one of the easiest schedules too, but they are a surprise to me regardless.

The Wild have got to deal with this better. The bench was barking at the refs from KK’s second shift that he was getting hit late and slashed. It was obvious that Fredrick was targeting KK.

The need to seed somebody out to lay a massive Stevens-style open-ice hit on douches like Fredrick. Just lay his ass out. Ooops. Take an interference call. So what? Better to give up a pp goal than let d!cks like Fredrick injure a player when we can least afford it.

Good news. Boston and Fredrick come to town March 16! Better have your head on a swivel, Freddie boy.

That’s what I said last night although sometimes the game dictates when due to powerplays and getting shifts lined up. If Foligno answered the shinanigans in the 1st period, Frederick likely wouldnt have ran Kaprizov in the 2nd…

Blocked a shot in the waning seconds and hobbled off the ice after the game. Evason says he will be playing tomorrow however.

2 key guys hurt because Sturm got owned twice by Bergeron at the faceoff dot with less than 10 seconds left….inexcusable he didn’t at the very least tie up… that’s center play 101….

He got beat CLEAN 3 times in the last 14 seconds. At not point in that sequence did Brodin block a shot or look hurt so I’m not sure when the injury actually happened.

I didnt see it either. I know Foligno blocked a shot, but I didnt see anything regarding Brodin.

Brodin blocked a shot earlier in the game off his hand. He came back and played.
