I mean Fiala shooting percentage may have dropped under 4 percent tonight. Hell Gaudreau is a career 6.1 percent and he has seven career regular season goals. Think about that.…I mean Greenway just got a better shooting percentage by getting his first of the year… rotflol

The Wild as a team are shooting 11% this year, which is ridiculous and not sustainable. Fiala career average is 10.5% and he’d have 7 or 8 goals so far at that number.

DoPS posted the review video of Claude Jr. biting baby Tkachuk. I’m not sure if it’s hilarious or disturbing, but there’s no way you can watch the whole thing without laughing. https://www.nhl.com/video/lemieux-suspended-five-games/t-277440360/c-9721511

Forsberg had a Joe Thornton hat trick tonight and Granlund assisted on all 4. Granny is having a career season and doing it while playing center full time. I was hoping the Wild would take a run at him last off-season but Nashville, rightfully so, paid him.

Why is it not sustainable. It was 11.4 last season, so sustainable at least through 56 games. It’s not like it is tops in the league or anything. May drop some with more games but I bet they finish over 10.

Well the teams ahead of them have McDavid Draisaitl Ovechkin Mackinnon Makar Rantanen etc. I don’t think the wild have the horses to keep pace with those guys. Didn’t realize they were that hot all of last season. Here’s to hoping I’m wrong about this year. toast

In years past this was the kind of game the Wild would lose. Beat the Stanley Cup champs and then lose to the worse team in the league two nights later. The first period looked like it might be that game. Good two points.

I watched that interview with Ek after the first period. He is one crazy looking dude! cool

To quote Han Solo ” that’s great kid, don’t get cocky”
Just play the game like you’ve been playing it

That’s nothing compared to some of the stuff the Hurricanes, Golden Knights and Predators social media folks have done.

Sorry but the marketing team doesn’t play the games. Just like the players don’t run the teams instagram. Much to do about nothing.

I agree they probably don’t have the horses to stay with those teams scoring wise but I would argue this team is not built on their horses and are built on their depth and depth scoring. Which IMO is harder to defend and harder for the team to slump scoring wise.
There 5 on 5 is bound to come down a little but their PP is bound to go up a little.

100% they showed the stat comparing goals scored by each line comparing Ariz and Min last night and it was glaring how balanced the Wild are getting production. If you have heavy production from 1 or 2 lines that is probably not real sustainable, but when its as balanced as it is I think it will be.

Why have the Avs played so few games? 18?

Nice to see Hunt, O’Rourke and Lambos getting invites to the U20 Canada WJC camp, the Future Wild D depth looks bright! Sucks that Jack Peart didn’t get an invite to the Team USA camp, but their D is stacked this year, so he’s likely on the same track Boldy did last year playing the WJC in his last year of elidgability..

That is disturbing, but also kinda funny looking at Tkachuks reaction.

Remember when fans were worried about Kaprizov’s lack of scoring the first 10 games or so this season???

He’s currently 7th in the NHL in scoring….just a few points away from 4th right behind the 3 scoring freaks named Draisaitl, Ovechkin and McDavid…

If Fiala could just break out of his season long funk…watch out!

What’s kind of strange is that other than the Panthers game, he really hasn’t picked a corner all season yet…even last night he had some point blank chances and shot right into the goalies chest…same with Fiala except x5…I think he still has some lingering effects shooting the puck from whatever injury he got in the Jets game…thankfully his skating looks like it’s back to normal…

Exactly what I was thinking last night.

I was at the game vs the Jets and when the Wild went up 2-0, you could just tell the fans were on edge waiting for the old Wild to appear and to try to glide it in and end up giving up the next 3 goals. Didn’t happen. Definitely a different mindset with this team.

I LOVE this team’s ability to keep their foot on the gas no matter what is happening. Down by 2, up by 6, down by 1, doesn’t matter, foot on the gas.

The depth scoring is awesome as well. When your 4th line is this dangerous, it really grinds down the opponent, there’s just no way to get a break when all 4 lines are scoring like this. Sure, you’re going to match your #1 D pair with the top line, but then what?

No idea what it’s going to take to get Fiala going. How many Grade-A chances can one player have and not even accidentally put the puck in that space behind the goaltender a few times? Yes, yes, we all know he’s a “late starter”. So maybe in the 22-23 season, then.

Terrific game against Nosalarycappa Bay. Of course, they had injured players, but then again don’t they always? At least until the playoffs.

I haven’t heard of any Iowa callups for tomorrow if Gaudreau is still in covid protocol, do they play Addison at forward again?

All this talk about Fiala & Kirill not scoring enough, yet the Wild lead the league in Goals For. coffee A quarter of the season is done & the Wild are still doing great! I know for us TMSF’s its hard to comprehend, but this team just feels different. Looks different. Fun to watch for sure!!

IDK I think it was a pot shot at Tampa… like having their 2 best forwards injured is some elaborate cap circumventing plan that helps them.

Saturday’s game against the Leafs is going to be a good measuring stick. Leafs have been red hot for a month and just destroyed the Aves (with Mackinnon) last night. Yeah they’ll choke in the playoffs, but that’s still a regular season juggernaut.

Aves find themselves in a familiar spot… great team, no goalie. Who could have foreseen Darcy Kuemper getting hurt?!?!

They can’t seriously play Addy at forward again can they? I mean I get the late notice Covid protocol thing, but with days to prepare and good call-up options they have to bring up a forward. Guessing it’s Rau although we’d all love to see Boldy, especially on Fiala’s wing.

Boldy with Fiala would be fun for sure. I am surprised nothing has been announced, will be refreshing Russo’s Twitter feed every minute.

Sounds to me like Evason was pretty happy with Addison’s play on wing. Wouldn’t surprise me if he plugs him in there again.

I guess since they called him up they might as well play him since he didnt appear to be a liability. At least he isnt sitting in the press box, but it would be nice to have someone who has been a forward slide into that slot, but he is a great skater.

According to Russo Zuccarello’s back practicing on the first PP unit so he’s likely a go tonight. Only if Zuccarello says he can’t go will there be a call up from Iowa.

Confirmed Zuccarello is back and Kaapo in for second consecutive game. I like the idea of giving Kaapo more net time.

Great to see Kaapo back in. He has been playing solid and we need him to be sharp to loosen the load on Talbot. Huge matchup coming against the Leafs. This will be a true test of where this team is at, but we have seen them show well against TB and FLA who are also top teams.

Love Kaapo getting the start again.

Has anyone heard what Zuccy’s injury actually is. Broken finger(s) or nasty cut in an awkward area is my best guess??

I feel like that’s been the entire team this year. They are thriving off of the gritty goals so far this year.
