Where the hell did fiala think he was going to go with that puck? Dumb play cost us a shot to tie.

I feel like we played really well tonight. Florida is just really really really good. Smooth and fast breakouts coupled with their physicality is going to be really tough for all teams this year.

Dumba had a bunch of mistakes again tonight. Hoping he can make up for the last few games in this next stretch with some offensive contributions. He needs to.

Fiala overall looked very good as did Kaprizov. Florida is a very good team. You go into their house where they haven’t lost it’s going to be tough. Hope it’s nothing serious with Surgeon. Now it’s time to focus on the cap circumentors tomorrow. LOL

Does anyone have the knowledge to hack into Bally Sports to control Gigi’s mike?
She should talk 1/4 what she does now. “Might” be tolerable then. She talks so long that Lapanta can’t do the play-by-play when play resumes.

Fiala is now officially in Deano’s doghouse… will be interesting to see how this plays out.

With no obvious reason why Spurgeon left the game, don’t rule out a positive covid test… Dylan Larkin got pulled mid-game the other night due to a positive test result that came back while the game was going on…

Said lower body injury for Spurgeon and he is already out for tomorrow’s game. Evason said they are trying to get Addison up but it will be tough with the early game.

Well Fiala is certainly more than in the dog house with Evason and I’m sure that means with BG as well. I’d look for him to be moved sooner than later and I think it’s the best thing for him. KK looked like junk for a dozen games and not nary a harsh word for him and Fiala looked liked he was ready to bust it open at any time during the same period. Fiala just seems to take the brunt. He clearly is not a welcome member on this team.

The wild and Fiala are just not meant for each other. It’s a shame and I think in the end one will get what he needs and the other will get what they deserve.

The thing with Fiala is with the amount of chances he keeps getting every game, if he starts scoring on at least 1/2 of them he’d be amongst the league leaders…. I’d be alot more concerned if he wasn’t getting the chances… and he’s proven he can be an elite goal scorer, do you remain patient for the dam to be broken or give up and trade him and then just accept it if he figures it out and turns into the player you thought he could??

I think it all depends on what you can get back in a trade and it the return offsets that risk to a degree…

IceCap you kill me man. There is no in between with you. You’re either all in or the sky is falling.

Yes Fiala frustrates the coaching staff at times. And he made a really stupid decision at the end of the game that cost them a chance to tie. He’s still a welcome member on the team. Maybe they do try and move him but I’d hope they wait til he starts scoring a little so they actually get something in return for him.

Might of been a little post cocktail posting last night had some friends over for a little poker. toast Had the game on but seen little of it. But the meaning is there. Fiala seems to get singled out much more than any other member. Didn’t he damn near tie it up at the buzzer? Reading Russo’s recap this morning sounds like Kulikov was directly responsible for three of the Panthers goals and Deano hasn’t mentioned a word about him.

It is what it is but I look for Fiala to be moved. Speaking of Deano when does he get his new contract?

Yeah I comment Fiala looked good then it all fell apart. He was flying around getting chances and then turnover time and bench city.

Good news sounds like Addison is going to make it in time for the game. Otherwise I think we were going to see Jordie Benn. Dodged a bullet there!

Crazy comeback, Wild should have won it in OT, but at least we stole a point…

Hopefully Fiala takes off now after finally scoring! We can only hope…

I wish all the start times were at four or five o’clock! Game over shortly after 7 even after having to go into a shootout. Perfect!

Didn’t catch the game today. First one I have not seen. I was at the Queens game and well cocktails were flowing.😂
Glad Fiala got going a bit, but he was definitely not in Deans nice list to the point he even said so. Tough back to back weekend Florida but wild were far from outclassed.
I am sorry Gigi but it’s painful watching even in fast forward and pausing for goals.

Honestly I feel bad for her at this point. They are kind of hanging her out to dry. She doesn’t seem to be improving either if that’s what their hope was.

Yeah Gigi… I’m sure she’s a nice gal but just isn’t cut out for broadcasting. Must be Lou’s turn isn’t it? razz

Well I’m guessing Gigi will do the next game since they don’t usually switch in the middle of a road trip. Her and Walz both just can’t get a thought out quickly. You can tell it drives Lapanta nuts. It’s so obvious that Carter is the best of the 3.

Yeah there are times Lapanta gets off on a tangent and can’t finish it in less than three minutes and doesn’t call the game. I wish the radio broadcast wasn’t so delayed I love listening to Tom Reid.

On another note Addison was with the Wild four hours before puck drop but after Evason and Benn had a long talk they put Benn in. Jordie actually had a good game and showed up on the score sheet but it sure seems the Wild like to mess with the youngin’s heads.

The more I read about the Spurgeon injury I think Addison will get plenty of playing time in the near future.

Gigi’s not ready for on air. Maybe she needs some more training. If anyone remembers when Tom Reid started on the radio, he was brutal with his pronunciation. Just chewed on his tongue. Gigi’s issue is different though. She’s not able to smoothly put her thoughts into sentences. She has excellent hockey knowledge/experience but she tries to share too much. Kind of like Morneau on the Twins. Many times she’s still talking when LaPanta should be calling the play-by-play.

I think she’s really nervous and after the first few games she probably knows she’s struggling a bit and is pretty self conscious. Has her mind racing which makes it tough to stay on one thought.

Still a weird move to rush Addy down to FLA and then health bomb him even though he made it in time. And then also have him skate warmups.

As president of the Calen Addison Fan Club I’m excited to hopefully get a look at him in a top 4 and powerplay role. Also hope Spurgeon is back ASAP… he’s been so good the last 10 or so games.

Before the live games she’s done sofar, she had been doing mock play-by-play games for god knows how long before they actually put her live on the air… She just doesn’t have it and she’s getting worse not better. She’s needs to go…

I agree she got her shot. It’s not good. I just wonder why they are sticking with her for so long.

Listened to the last 2 games on the radio partially to avoid Gigi, but that’s another story…

Even on the radio where you don’t see what’s happening away from the puck, the comments about Fiala were enough to know he was having 2 more terrible games.

Difficult at this point not to conclude that he just decided he was done with the Wild and he’s sulking. Obviously, the contract situation got in his head where it was all about Kaprisov and NOT about Kevin Fiala and he got bitter and resentful. It seems like Deano is p1ssed because he’s slacking on D and over-playing his shifts, and this is not a new issue.

Again, typical Wild bad luck that we have a player like that that is running his own trade potential into the ground just when we need to deal his @ss outta here. Hopefully, we can get something more than used goalie equipment and a sack of pucks for him, but man his stock must be way, way down over what it would have been in the off-season.

Great to see the Wild being dangerous late in the 3rd, but I have to ask this: Are they over-playing this comeback kid gambit? It’s great when it works, but if we score 6 on 5, then what is wrong with just scoring on power plays once in a while and sealing the deal without resorting to empty net play?

We’ve been incredibly lucky sofar with the empty net (blueline shot off the pipe last night) that luck will NOT last. I’m completely dumbfounded that teams aren’t shooting full ice for the open net knowing how bad we are at faceoffs if they miss…it sure has been fun though…

Fiala has been all over the place this season, full effort, no effort, scores nice goal, extended goal droughts, tons of chances, no chances…That’s been his entire career though…it wouldn’t surprise me if he scores 10 goals in the next 5 games…he’ll either be an overpaid dud or a homerun for whomever signs him next, what is that risk worth?
