I can’t believe that Fehr and the NHLPA knew about it and didn’t do anything. That might be the worst part.

Yikes. Reading the quotes from Kane and Toews yesterday is equally disgusting. Singing the praises of Bowman and not commenting really at all on the matter at hand here just basically saying “whatever happened happened a long time ago”. Gross. As a Captain he needs to read the room much better than that.

Agree to some extent, but honestly if he was hearing locker room talk and not getting the full story then I am sure it would be easy to brush it off and move on especially when both parties were gone. Not saying that’s right but I am sure there are locker room rumors that get thrown about all the time.

I didn’t take Kane’s interview like that at all.

We all know what we want the top line to be but we all know it wont happen. Ugh.

If Kap is truly banged up then I don’t want to see him paired with Fiala right now. He’d still struggle and would just put a sour taste in everyone’s mouth for that combo. If Kap is healthy then playing with Fiala could be just the boost he needs to get rolling.

I don’t see them jumbling the lines that much. At least to start. I think they will do more of a plug and play type of move to start.

yeah why not, it’s not like either star is killing it playing on their normal lines…

The Blackhawks story is just disgusting. I really can’t believe how many sick people are in this world. So very sad.

What’s truly sad and makes me fuming mad is that the cases we do hear about are only a grain of sand in terms of how much it probably happens every day (

Did you guys read the stories about Beach from 2011? The Blackhawks may have intentionally blocked him from playing in the NHL by shoving him down in the minors and potentially hijacked his career to aid in the cover up. It just keeps getting worse the more people dig into it.

I still think they haven’t scratched the surface of this issue yet with the Hawks…once pressure starts getting put on certain folks, they will start to talk and peel back more levels of the onion…I think the local Blackhawk beat writers have some answering to do… and How was the owner not in the loop when pretty much every top level coach/exec was in the meeting together discussing to keep it quiet…

It just shows once again what Bettman and the league will do to pander to an original 6 team. As has been pointed out, AZ loses a R1 draft pick for a recruiting violation and the Shithawks have a sexual assault and coverup and…

What would have happened if it has been Columbus or, say, Vancouver with the same situation?

What a bleep show the league office is. There is no way that public opinion is going to let Gary & Co get away with this sweep-it-under, so you are exactly right. We haven’t heard the end of the Chicago Sh!tshow.

Like has been said, just hopefully KK97 is healthy so we can really see what it would be like. Zuccs has been playing like his hair is on fire though.
Some people are talking like they are worried about KK97’s “slow” start. I mean, he is still nearly a point per game. He hasnt scored but those can come in bunches.

No points since Winnipeg when we’re speculating he got banged up. He looked fine the first 3 games, it’s the last 3 where he was a ghost.

And besides, points can be deceiving. He had a nice pass to Rask and the 3 on 1 OT assist, but the other 3 points are garbage second assists.

Kulikov a game time decision. If he don’t go we see Jordie Benn. Soucy a healthy scratch for the Kraken tonight again. He’s not getting much love in Seattle. Almost seems they took him to further disrupt our defense more than to improve their own.

Yes, they seem lukewarm on Soucy. IMO that counts as a win for us and our xpac strategy, BG played it well if it’s the case that he made the expansion team take a player they don’t really want.

It would be pretty strange though, given that the Kraken isn’t even in our division to try to disrupt the Wild with their pick. I mean how much do you benefit by disrupting a team that you’ll only play a few times a year and then not until (maybe) the playoffs?

Yep. I wonder if it ends there. I watched both Toews and Kane interviews and I have no way of knowing but it came across to me they knew a lot more than they were admitting to.

Quennville should have been barred from coaching by the league before he disgraced the sport further by being behind the bench last night.

Sounds like Bruno is taking over as interim head coach in FLA. Good for him!

So, I asked about the wild being available with espn plus for home games, assuming that home games would be blacked out. That was a correct assumption.
I also assumed that away games would be available, but tuned in tonight and it is blacked out.
    Am I missing something?

ANY game televised by the local station is blacked out for any other station trying to show it in that market. So if you want to watch a Wild game in MN televised by Ballys, you need to have the Ballys channel. VPN gets around that by telling the station/app you’re located out of state.

He was already on the ice or locker room when Beach spoke.

From the NHL’s statement on Quenneville.

Given the result, there is no need for any further action by the NHL regarding Mr. Quenneville at this time. However, should he wish to re-enter the League in some capacity in the future, I will require a meeting with him in advance in order to determine the appropriate conditions under which such new employment might take place.”

They are already telegraphing he’s going to be back behind the bench whenever they feel this thing has adequately blown over. This guy should never be seen or heard from again. They should be taking a grinder to the Cup and removing his name and Aldrich’s name and putting Kyle Beach’s name in place. Apparently they have learned nothing.

Agreed! There better be more penalties leveled against the Hawks and Chevy and possibly even Bergevin since he was head of player development and would have had direct oversight into Beach. None of them should work a day in the league again. Period.
