True but we’ve been talking about this Rossi isnt coming up much this year. Beckman should make appearances however.

Sheesh this whole Blackhawks thing is going to blow up. How Q or even Toews and other players survive this is going to be a miracle.

P.A. Was kind of blown away by it and asked him do you normally let your captain decide if you are going to practice. His response was we get all decisions makers input on stuff like that. We trust that spurg has a handle on the locker room and what the players are feeling. So we take his input just like we take all the coach’s input.

Thought the interviewer did a good job asking some tough questions respectfully.

That’s what I said yesterday, this will get alot bigger than just a coach, GM and a few executives most people don’t know who they are… Beach didnt look or sound like a victim that wanted it shoved under the rug anymore..

Don’t see how Q is coaching after his meeting.

That interviewer was fantastic! I havent seen much TSN stuff but that guy did a wonderful job navigating that interview and was very respectful.

I would have to guess that one of those potential covid players is a D man since Lizotte was brought up unless its precautionary.
Also, did you see that unless the Wild charter and air ambulance they would have to quarantine in Vancouver for 10 days? Sheesh.

That team is on the verge of total collapse lol. They had a 2-0 lead at home and lost in OT to the Leafs. Still winless on the season plus this other off-ice issue now too.

Wasn’t really expecting Rossi but someone more interesting than Rau and Dewar.

Rossi has also been sick for the past week and hasn’t played in a game for almost 2 weeks now…

Why do I get the feeling that the Blackhawks plan is to just completely tank the next 2 seasons burning through the Kane and Toews contracts and trying to get the top picks in the next 2 drafts basically recyclying out their old stars for new ones…Sucks to be Seth Jones who signed on thinking he’d be playing for a contender in his prime…Columbus probably doesn’t look so bad anymore…

I’m guessing Flower wishes he had opted for retirement and be sitting on a beach in Maui right about now.

That’s what they did before they had their cup runs years ago! They were easily one of the worst teams for a LONG time. They would average about 6000 fans per home game in the United Center for years too (that arena holds 22,000). Part of it was the ownership as well.

Its a route to success that can work, but it requires that you be terrible for several years to load up on high draft picks…and then hope the high draft picks work out. You risk alienating a fan base that way too. The Penguins had a very similar route before they were able to draft Fleury, Crosby, and Malkin. They were terrible for many years until they loaded up.

It just blew up today. GM and VP of hockey ops fired. Another GM and Head Coach meeting with Gary. Players are not going to be punished for this.

Not that I have seen, but they were on the team and previously denied knowing anything about it and its come out that effectively everyone within the room and even management knew full well about it.
A couple former players have come forward and said it was well known and that “everyone” knew.

Not directly (yet) as others have mentioned, some players who were on that team (who are on different teams now) have already gone public that everyone on the team/management/media knew about it. My point about Kane & Toews is that they are the marqee names and if it does come out that they knew about it, were told to participate in the denial, participated in the harrassment it will put a National Media magnifying glass on the story (outside of the current hockey world that knows about it) It will also be interesting who in the media knew about it at the time and either willingly or unwillingly decided NOT to report about it???

This is where Gary Bettman needs to be VERY careful how the NHL proceeds with the issue, if they try to deflect/distract and kill the story, they will get eaten alive by the National Media/cancel culture.

Watch their interviews. Toews said he knew the following training camp when both parties were not part of the organization.
Kane said he didn’t even know who John Doe was until he revealed his name.
Sopel has said the whole locker room knew but when? He was only up with the club for a couple of weeks. He was a black ace. So probably wasn’t even around the big club much at all.
I mean Toews probably didn’t even know who he was at the time. He was in a cup run and I would guess worried about other things at the time.

Trust me not defending anyone in this case, but there is a good chance that some guys really didn’t have much involvement at all or new about what happened until well after the fact and will be guilty by association.

I can’t believe that Fehr and the NHLPA knew about it and didn’t do anything. That might be the worst part.

Yikes. Reading the quotes from Kane and Toews yesterday is equally disgusting. Singing the praises of Bowman and not commenting really at all on the matter at hand here just basically saying “whatever happened happened a long time ago”. Gross. As a Captain he needs to read the room much better than that.

I’m about half way through the report from the Law Firm and its absolutely disgusting! Coach Q will probably be resigning soon and sucks for the Panthers because they look really good this year.

They’ve all been talked to/coached by the team lawyers already on how to answer questions…the gameplan in todays world on how to handle a PR nightmare is to not say anything and wait for the news cycle to change and then it becomes forgotten about…we’ll see, my guess is you’ll start to see Beach making the morning shows and news stations telling his story…

Zuccarello and Pitlick are the ones in Covid protocol…maybe Kirill just getting the vaccine and its protection being at its max is what kept him from getting it from Zuc since they are inseperable on/off the ice? I guess we’ll see how the next few days of testing play out…

Pitlick comes up for one game and gets covid.

They were pretty separated last game.
