Definitely, that’s the only reason I watched the Blackhawks deal today? The Penguins situation is similar but different. Billy G immediately acknowledged he knew about it and passed the info along to his superior… His superior who mysteriously resigned about a year ago. 
I skimmed the official Blackhawks report and it looks like everyone there just kept pleading ignorance and did their best to keep it swept under the rug for 10 year. Quenneville is really painted as a villain in the report.
So what happens with Bowman and USA hockey now? Does Billy G get promoted to GM or what?

Went nowhere just like the internal investigation of the Hawks. Wasn’t till now that heads started to roll after safe sport got involved.

It certainly is damning of Q that’s for sure. I read some of the report and its just disgusting, but not at all surprising that crap like this happens which is horrible. I mean, we had those gymnasts nothing should surprise us and the fact that their mothers watched most of those atrocious acts! Disgusting.
My guess is that USA Hockey will NOT want any press coverage/spotlight on Bowman while over in the Olympics, so he’ll soon get the boot which probably means GMBG will get the top job…

It was alleged a while ago. Safesport got involved in early Aug at the request of the player. My guess is because Bowman was US GM and the player thought the investigation was going nowhere very slowly. There independent investigation is what was released by Jenner and guessing safe sport has their own investigation going as well. At least I think that is what is happening at the moment.

I don’t think Bowman was even under investigation from SafeSport, at least it was never confirmed. There was a request to suspend him from the Olympics which was denied, and there was a request to SafeSport to investigate him but never confirmed anything happened with it. Everything that was released today has nothing to do with SafeSport – unrelated and private investigation. With Bill G, it’s confirmed that SafeSport has an open investigation.
Everyone in the Blackhawks deal basically denied knowing anything about that situation until today. Billy G acknowledged the Penguins situation immediately and released a statement that straight up called BS and said he did his job.

How about Q and GM C in Winnipeg? I dont think this goes well for either of them either? NHL fines the Blackhawks $2M for mishandling this? Is that even significant?
Sounds like C in Winnipeg did what he was supposed tooand didn’t lie during the investigation. Q I am not sure about yet. This thing is going to get messy for sure. I agree 2 mill is a drop in the bucket for the Danny and the Hawks.

The report makes Q look like a donkey. Multiple mentions that he didn’t want to mess up the chemistry during playoffs so wanted to keep it quiet. He and former President of HO John McDonaugh were painted as the chief villains. There’s very little mention of Cheveldayoff in the report other than the fact that he was there and part of the staff.

I agree they should lose draft picks or something over this too. This isnt about money its about precedence. This is FAR worse than what AZ did and my son’s kid was one of the kids they tested, who unfortunately was drafted by Chicago last year sheesh.

Exactly! I didnt read the whole thing, but I guess you can figure out exactly who John Doe is by connecting dots. They gave too much information about him and those that closely follow the team would be able to figure it out.

The big tell all article was released this summer. The official investigation was made public today. Heads have rolled. The NHL wants this done and over with, and after the meetings with Q and Chevy it will be over. Kane and Toews were 21 years old at the time.
