Great spot! Ovi is like Fluery you just can’t help but like them!
This was so good! I damn near shed a tear at the end!

Tony does very good work. I disagree in this particular case however. Pitlick won’t break the top 6 and I feel that is where they are projecting Beckman. No sense in letting him toil and get beat up in the bottom six. Let him flourish in the AHL and when an I jury happens which we all know it will, bring him up. Much better spot for him.
The Wild kinda pigeon holed themselves into the situation claiming Pitlick off waivers. Beckman then had to be sent down as Pitlick is required to stay with the big club for 30 days…
If Pitlick doesnt prove he belongs in the next few weeks he’ll likely get put back on waivers snd Beckman will get the call up.
Watching intermission for the Tampa/Pens game. Barry Melrose not aging well. Uncontrollable body tremors. Sad to see.

yeah, noticed that too
How about Brian Boyle not having a job last season, making the Penguins squad without a contract and now scoring in the first game of the season.
Was never a huge fan of his but after reading about what he’s gone through and what kind of guy he is it’s pretty cool.
Oh Big fan of Boyle. Heart and soul guy. He could be on my team any day.
Nice to see hockey back on ESPN homepage even though I think their are better writers to follow.
Not a fan of the roving PP cam. If they followed the puck with the movements it might be ok but it seemed like the view was a long way away from the puck most of the time.
Donato of all people scores the first Kraken goal….
Of course Donato gets the first Kraken goal.
Kinda funny that 2 recent Wild players are in the lineup and the xpac pick is a healthy scratch.
I think he was suspended for the game for a charging call in their last preseason game.

I’m not sure if you’re joking or not, but Soucy is definitely a healthy scratch tonight.
Dam fun game to watch so far. Hockey on ESPN is great and this is not what I was expecting from Seattle.
as with alot of folks on twitter, I could barely hear the announcers as the in-stadium audio feed was way too loud…I like the announcing teams though!

They are going to try alot of new things that will eventually get removed from telecasts as they get feedback like yours (I wasn’t a fan either) I wonder how long before we get the over ice zipline camera view like the NFL does? Now that could be cool… at least we no longer have the glowing puck or shot streaks!
I could be wrong but wasn’t the glowing puck or shot streak back when hockey was on Fox?

I googled why he wasn’t playing and that is what came up. Maybe that was an old story and I didn’t notice the date. That’s odd that he’d be a starting scratch in that lineup.
The legend known as Foxtrax. Idk why you guys are complaining about shooting laser beams straight through goalies, sounds awesome to me.

Weird that google didn’t tell you it’s because he’s not very good. Soucy isn’t bad but he isn’t very good either… Wild fans always over value Wild players. Seattle drafted and signed a lot of good defensemen and they have one of the deepest D-corps in the league on paper so I’m not shocked at Soucy being scratched. But I bet he’ll be playing soon after how terrible Seattle’s D actually was last night. I was expecting structured, conservative, low-event hockey and it was pretty much the opposite. Seemed like Vegas got a grade A chance after almost every breakout. I was expecting Seattle to play how Pittsburgh did last night – that was a horribly boring game to watch. Speaking of Wild fans over-valuing Wild players… what happened to Zucker? He’s supposed to be their best forward right now and he looked like a lost puppy.

Not to put too many excuses for Zucker, but he did block a hard shot early on last night in his foot/knee… also look who he’s playing with right now, No Crosby, No Malkin, No Guentzel… players like Zucker need guys to get them the puck in scoring spaces…
Zucker took a hard shot early in the game and hobbled down the runway. He did return but I am sure that is what he was fighting the rest of the game.
There’s an echo in here… LOL
I beat ya by a minute!
Zucker really relies on Crosby/Malkin setting him up, when he doesn’t have them, he’s pretty average…
