Preds bringing the wood tonight against the Avs! I still predict an Avs star will get knocked out of the playoffs with an injury in this series before its over…

Just switched to stars game 😴 so I’ll probably fall asleep and miss OT again
May 6, 2022 at 7:20 am #2122203Probably because their d are small.
More like somebody is going to catch MacKinnon cutting across the middle…
tswobodaPosts: 8554May 6, 2022 at 8:39 am #2122227Mackinnon is always a stallion in the playoffs. I’ve said about 3 years in a row now that he’s a lock for the Conn Smythe… and then they lose in the 2nd round. I better say it again huh Nate Mackinnon is getting the Conn, no jinxes here I promise. Avs looks unstoppable in the 1st round every year.
Reminder that only 5 years ago the Colorado Avalanche finished with 48 points, or 7 points less than this years Canadiens and the worst season in the NHL cap era. That team was also lead by Nathan Mackinnon, Mikko Rantannen, and Gabe Landeskog. I won’t bring up how the Wild did that year so let’s just say they had a

69 pts?
tswobodaPosts: 8554tswobodaPosts: 8554May 6, 2022 at 11:11 am #2122280Scandella, Leddy, and Bortuzzo all out as of right now. That leaves the Blues with an AHL journeyman bottom pair.

This game could be bonkers. Hopefully we come out with guns a blazing and pressure them early.

I say good luck to catching him.
From what I have been seeing nobody on Nashville is fast enough.
CaptainMuskyPosts: 22882May 6, 2022 at 1:33 pm #2122314Some hilarious gamesmanship in LA. Arena staff have the lights off and are keeping the nets from the Oilers team who has started gathering for morning skate LOL

How dumb. I would two hand those rink guys right across the knee cap and take the net.

Would the Dept of Player Safety get involved? I think they were doing it because they were on the ice early. Still think its funny.
tswobodaPosts: 8554May 6, 2022 at 2:05 pm #2122332Is there a Department of Rink Guy Safety?
Russo Live Room starting now. What should I ask?
CaptainMuskyPosts: 22882May 6, 2022 at 2:08 pm #2122335I cannot figure out how to type questions in chat

I feel terrible for them. That’s what you get with these undersized players–no durability in the playoffs.

a puck to the ear/face, a knee on knee injury and a head smash into the glass…they could have been 8’ tall and 300 lbs and still sustained those injuries…
Anyways, getting pucks deep and pound the new guys into making mistakes should be our gameplan.

So you do understand how there’s no correlation between size and injuries

no, i’m saying the injuries you guys mentioned have ZERO to do with body size. Spurgeon showed signs of exactly what I talked about the other night (one time directly resulted in Kyru’s goal) the little guys get worn down and tired of being targeted and it directly impacts their game…
I dont recall saying the smaller guys get more injuries? (all players get “injuries” in the playoffs) I believe I said they get worn down quicker/easier and it negatively impacts their play…
May 6, 2022 at 7:53 pm #2122443Don Koharski sounds hammered on the Canes vs Bruins game… I doubt they go back to him anymore for his insight on penalties called…

Kinda like Tom Reid? Last game he could barely get through a sentence.
tswobodaPosts: 8554May 6, 2022 at 8:53 pm #2122454was about to post about Dumba’s neutral zone turnover almost leading to an early Blues goal and we come down and score!
May 6, 2022 at 8:54 pm #2122457Crazy these refs arent calling obvious leaving their feet hits (Terasenko on Spurg) yet they are calling pretty much everything else…
