Dumba playing with 1 arm, how is that better than an Addison with 2? The injury also removes any physical advantage Dumba had….

Sorry but Addison is behind several other options right now. He just is. Agree though Dumba is not healthy. Thought Goose may have started in his spot tonight. It was evident in game 1 as well.

Dumba played well defensively tonight but yeah its obvious he’s hurt. Most obvious is he can’t even clear it on the PK. Made a few awkward backhand flips where he easily could have rung it hard

I thought that first goal was given to Fiala when did they switch it KK? Looked like Fiala got his stick on it to me. No matter either way we will take the outcome.

29 goals across four games last night. Seems like a lot of goals when things are supposed to “tighten up” in the playoffs. Did Burtuzo ever come back for the Blues last night? I had a early morning so I went to bed about half way through and it looked like the Wild were well in control. Big loss for Blues if Burtozo can’t come back. Looks like that puck caught him right in the ear hole. Ouch.

Ice Cap, I thought the same thing on the first KK goal too. But, after watching the replay this morning in the overhead view you can see Fiala’s stick was in the mix but it was actually a Blues player that pushed it across.

Joe, I don’t know if you need to retire the Stonehands or not. The name has certainly stuck around here and he’s playing great!! Like we all told you from day 1! lol.

That was a much better all around game. Special teams will be the deciding factor as we’ve been saying. Last night they took care of business like they should! I don’t think the Blues can beat us at 5v5. We’re just too deep. I think they come out of St. Louis tied at 2 games apiece, but I also think they have to win game 3 to do it.

RipJiggin, That must be a pretty awesome experience going to the playoff games! I’ve never been to one. Sounds absolutely electric there on the TV.

Stonehands is a term of endearment. No need to retire it.

You could almost feel the sigh of relief from the X after the first goal, and definitely after the second last night! rotflol Fun game for sure! Kirill got the hat trick, but was caught on the defensive side most of the game and hopefully is just getting started! We got a series now.

Yep, its a series when someone wins on the other team’s home ice. Time to turn the tables. Husso looked rattled, but not sure I want to see Binnington, he’d probably skate down the ice and pick a fight with Fleury.

After game one it was easy to question the goalie situation. However I think it was a sign of confidence to the whole team to stick with Fleury. And you still have Cam waiting if a spark is needed at some point.

Great game overall… just what we needed!

The Wild excercised alot of playoff demons last night (Scoring goals, Best player producing points, Powerplay Production, maintaining a lead in the 2nd period)

Let’s hope this is the start of great things to come…

I loved Foligno’s answer to questions before last night regarding how the game 1 loss felt like the same old…same old… Moose said, “Those were different teams, different locker rooms” This group isn’t the previous groups…

Then put in Kulikov, Dumba is a liability, love his heart and grit playing through an injury, but if he can’t clear a puck or truly play physical, how is he not ultimately hurting the team?

Game 1 he had the 1-1 break on the goalie early in the 1st period and shot a soft wrist shot in Husso’s chest…if he scores that goal it could have completely changed the direction of the game…

    Dumba played well defensively tonight

Seems like all he can physically do is get in the way of players…his boards play is totally hampered by the injury, he can only use 1 arm to lock a player up, the Blues obviously know this and would just spin away from the side his arm was dragging on…saw this multiple times last night…

It was definitely rocking last night. Super tight game to start with shots being 2-0 through like the first ten minutes. Crowd was anxious and you could hear some negative comments around you every time the blues touched the puck.
When they scored however it was just a huge relief celebration that kept building with each goal.

Nice rebound game last night by the Wild. This is looking to be a good series. Hope they can carry their great play into the next game.

Just saying that even while hurt Dumba was still good defensively. Even though he can’t shoot the puck he’s still better than any of the other options. Played almost 25 minutes, including 4+ on the PK only giving up 2 shots. Didn’t see Merrill on the PK which is a big change.

Fiala been pretty quiet so far, maybe it’s his turn in STL. Surprised to see he’s leading all forwards in TOI so far. Boldy and Zuccy really got lost with all the PK time last night. Need to play a 5v5 game just to get those playmakers involved.

Jost had a little coming out party last night. A few high energy shifts and was great on the kill. Even hammered the 7 footer Mikolla on the forecheck!!

Still think someone needs to fight Schenn, he’s running around like his c0ks made out of concrete right now. Had a few chats with D-Lo & Middelton last night but nothing came of it. Might need to be Foligno.

Knock on wood but the injury bug has come for the Blues’ already thin blueline.

Fans seem a lot happier today on the top of the rollercoaster lol

That was quite the collision he and Fiala had behind the net in the first period.

Yeah that was a trash hit and exactly the stuff I’m talking about. About 5 seconds late and completely jumped before impact. He got a visit from middelton and DLO after that but nothing really changed.

Came back here to mention just that, Jost was flying around last night, thought he played really well and was fun to watch.

How do the refs not call that, both of his skates were a foot off the ice… The Schenn brothers know how to fight, so I hope one of our lightweights don’t take him on….take a number on him for next season, he’s just looking to stir somebody up and then pigeon for the powerplay…

One of my favorite plays last night was a Hartman rat play. Not sure if it made it to TV, but there was an off sides and the play kind of stops. Hartman grabs the puck and stick handles between to blues players into their zone. Both guys take swings at Hartman and try to slash his stick to stop him. And he just dangles around both of them.
    It was classic Hartman.

D Lo had a couple chats with Schenn last night. Thought they were going to go once.

Boldy is getting his playoff legs and pace. I think he may pot one soon.

Yea Jost was good last night. One shift in particular was on the kill. Good long kill then was the first forechecked in when they killed it off.

    Already looking forward for tomorrow.

Yeah he knows how to fight but he’s not in the same class as his brother. He’s also smart enough not to go with a guy like D-Lo that’s why I think it needs to be Foligno, who could pound him. I just think with all the talk about getting tougher to stop guys from taking liberties some one needs to help him fall back in line. He’s obliterated Dumba, Fiala, and Jost in the first two games and looking for more at every chance – Schenn is the definition of taking liberties right now.

My wife and I were at the X in the 2003 Western Conference Finals against Guiguirre and his ginormous pads. Didnt end well, but it was absolutely awesome. Nothing like playoff hockey at the X, at least when they are playing well.

100% agree, just saying he knows how to throw them as he likely got beaten to a pulp as a young brother in that household…but he’s just looking to goad guys into a panalty…if we get up big again in game 3 and the penalty won’t kill us, somebody needs to jump him, force him to fight…

Binnington has a .901 sv% with a 3.13 GAA this year. I’d be perfectly fine seeing him tomorrow night

Like the opposite of the Benn household growing up rotflol

We’re on the same page here, it needs to happen but more importantly whoever gets him needs to be smart about it and pick the right time – no doubt Schenn knows what he’s doing. I just look back to Landeskog in game 1 last year and how that set the tone for the rest of the series. Although it didn’t really matter with how outmatched they were anyway.

Yeah Binnington is a fraud. One hit wonder and been below average ever since that cup run.

I’m surprised that NHL players are willing to ride on a greyhound bus instead of their cushy first class planes!
