Kaprizov got lucky with his shot deflecting down off the goalies facemask (because he’s such a tall goalie) otherwise it would have went over the net…

Hahaha. That was such an obvious penalty it was comical when he started complaining. Then he tried to say he was picking up his stick. Uh huh.

They have not had a legit practice since mid March. Flower commented how he was bored one day and drove to practice facility just to see it for the first time.

Yeah I really missed his turnovers that wind up in the back of our net. That was one of his better ones last night. Good to see he’s ready for the playoffs. Seriously the Wild need to move him this off season while they can still get something for him.
Yes the Predators will lose to the Avs, but they will put a physical beat down on them every game… will be interesting to see if any Avs dont make it out of that series..
Round 1 schedule is out. Obviously central teams got shafted again with late start times after east coast games finish. Games 1, 2, and 3 are scheduled this way. Looks like I won’t be watching these in their entirety. Happens every freaking year with the central time zone teams. Just put it on another channel already and start it at a reasonable time.

I’m more worried about his regular season record.
Was also at the game last night and it is impossible to overstate how BAD the officiating was. Or continues to be as it’s now a 3 game trend.
The Wild are getting royally screwed on botched calls like the Duhaime instigator call.
The Avs were flopping all over the ice like Italian soccer players trying to sell tripping and interference calls and never a single embellishment call. There was also multiple uncalled slashes and crosschecks away from the puck, it’s incredible to me that professional officials can’t make the proper calls. And it’ll only get worse from here for the Wild because now we get “playoff officating” which means that crosschecking ceases to be a peanalty anywhere on the ice.
Looking forward to midnight hockey as the playoffs start. Amazing how the NHL is run by such a bunch of retreads that they can’t figure out that the audience would be bigger if the games were shown in prime time.

I would have given it a hell of an effort I know that.
Do you guys think that McDermott knee to knee was as dirty as everything seems to think? Obviously it wasn’t necessary didn’t need to happen, but I didn’t think it was that obvious that he kicked his leg out. No suspensions for either him or Oconnor.
I’m in the minority but 830 starts are the perfect time for me. Kids are in bed at 8 so most games I have to keep paused until then anyway and play catch up while hiding my phone from myself.
Macdermid hit wasn’t dirty because it malicious and he was trying to injure Foligno. It was dirty because it’s a reckless and dangerous play that often ends up like it did. Just stupid and he should know better. But I agree he wasn’t doing it thinking F— this guy I’m gonna end his season.
Any news on Foligno yet? Knee on knee like that is usually either catastrophic or a deep bruise they can play through.
