Wide open net for the other Gaudreau at the end there. Could have been disastrous.
Glad my front row tickets won’t be wasted tomorrow. Sitting in those seats between the benches maybe I’ll make an IDO sign. Any suggestions?

”Faceoffs Don’t Matter” ???
Stone Hands?
Or maybe just the number 200 and only the five of us would understand.
Colorado is playing all of their studs tonight including Keumper, perhaps they sit guys tomorrow on a back-2-back in a meaningless game for them???

whatever that weird thread was with the cryptic topic. That would be hilarious.
Talbot hasn’t lost in regulation in like 2 months. No way he doesn’t start game 1
Special teams trending the right way. They should do an all forward PP1 if Spurgeon isn’t ready for game 1.
No Zuccy for Moose to lift tonight after the win? No problem!!

Seeing reports that Dumba and Spurgeon back tomorrow. No Zuccy still.
Avs tied with Nashville late in the 3rd. They gotta pull the goalie here right? Throw the game so they get Dallas 1st round.
Just took a penalty… smart play
Darryl Sutter: “We had lots of opportunities to win. We got taken to the cleaners in the faceoff circles. That cost us a couple goals.”
Eriksson Ek was 12 of 15, the Wild 27 of 48
Avs gotta sit guys tomorrow and play their backup goalie after a full OT/Shootout game tonight, they have nothing to play for after Florida locked up the President’s trophy…

I tend to agree that they now have nothing to play for. Honestly, they really have had nothing to play for in the past couple weeks unless you think they legitimately cared about winning a Presidents Trophy. I would personally be more interested in not getting injured and maintaining a competitive style of hockey.
They will sandbag tonight. I’d be surprised if the Wild didn’t win relatively easily against a bunch of call ups and a back up goaltender.
This is the type of game MN teams lose year after year. Much like the last game against Arizona, but hey at least I’m not jaded. (sarcasm)

Bednar said he would give a “handful” of guys a night off in Minnesota tomorrow. Avs will call up a guy or two from the Eagles for the game against the Wild, with Jacob MacDonald expected to be one of them.
Pavel Francouz will start against the Wild, Bednar said.

Johnny Gaudreau – 23:45
Matthew Tkachuk – 22:36
JFC Sutter 23 minutes to forwards in a meaningless game before playoffs, what is he doing?!

They absolutely wanted the President’s trophy as they feel they are Cup contenders and would want home ice in the finals…They played EVERYBODY last night and pushed hard for the W…
Makar says he was told he gets the game off tonight…I’d expect Mackinnon and Rantonen as well..
Now we just need to worry about their young guys like Meyers giving maximum effort to try and stand out to Management….

Dude is old school to the bone…
u18s are going on right now and USA is absolutely mopping up. Beat Canada 8-3 in group play and total score through 4 games is 37-10. Gopher commit and projected top 5 pick Logan Cooley pulled the Michigan today. He also sliced the refs wrist open with his skate. I haven’t seen a video but sounded like the blood was comparable to Malarchuk.
Hel! of a blood trail. I can’t believe he still blew the whistle after seeing that pour out of his own arm.
Scary moment from the #U18Worlds as referee Lukas Kohlmueller appears to suffer a serious cut on his arm. He was quickly met by medical staff and taken off the ice.

Valid point. If the finals are Colorado versus Florida, it may come back to haunt them. Whole lotta if’s before that occurs.

Man that is awful to watch. Color me confused, but wouldnt you want to elevate that above your heart to aid is less blood loss? Hope he is going to be OK.
3 of the 4 Spittin Chicklets guys pick the Wild in 7 (Whitney picked the Blues)

Just a old washed up coach making excuses. He doesn’t even realize faceoff’s don’t factor into anything. This team is going nowhere in the playoffs.
Watching that Kaprizov game winner over and over and how he just slips between 3 defenders in the slot to get into the open where Fiala finds him is pure poetry in motion.
