Probably. I know my opinion on this thread is not a popular one. Someone has to keep the regulars in check though.

somebody go pickup Marco in Iowa…pickup a rapid test on your way back!
This vid is about all I know about Chaffee. So from what I know he’s pretty awesome. Hope he gets his debut. He would be the 6th forward to debut this season, all coming up from Iowa too. He’s an undrafted free agent that Billy G signed out of UMass.
just an alpha dog shift from Mitchell Chaffee. should have drawn a high sticking penalty but whatever.
get him to St. Paul. #mnwild pic.twitter.com/14LNo6L65P

Its Foligno. Chaffee called up who has been on fire.
good excuse to let Mooose heal up for the playoffs…Chaffe more than deserved the callup
Hartman raised $39,500+ for the Children’s Minnesota….just an unreal story about sportsfans and players… funny that Children’s calls it the “Fine Fund”
So that’s 3 out of 4 AHL recalls used now on Dewar, Addison, and Chaffee.
The best tweet after Foligno is announced as the player who tested positive and will miss games:

Shoulda flown into upstate new york and then bussed across the border from there. Same for Vancouver, fly into Seattle. I’m sure Calgary would would make for a longer road trip. I joke, but I wonder if teams will do that with Toronto (fly to Buffalo) during the playoffs to avoid testing.
I thought the testing was required for return to US so not sure bussing makes a difference?

Good point, fly in and then bus out. We don’t need to test if crossing into the US by land. Testing into the US is only for air travel.

I wasnt aware it was flight travel only so yeah, that would work.
that would work.
I highly doubt a bunch of NHL players would be willing to sit on a bus for hours instead of a plane. They’re past riding a bus to their destination.
Yeah that’s why it was tongue in cheek, except for the Toronto in the playoffs part. That’s only a hop across the border, and if it means bypassing testing during playoffs teams and players may go for it.
Also teams out east in the metro do a lot of bussing already. Completely different perspective than we have here where the closest team is 400 miles away.

I’m sure since several of them are in relative proximity already.

Yup and yup.
I’m guessing the first line will come out a little better after their last performance and basically having to apologize to Deano for how they played.
With the loss last night Vegas’ playoff odds are dwindling fast. It will be glorious if they miss the playoffs.
Talbot in net, Chaffee gets his first. Lines juggled. Deslauries with Bjugstand and Ek. Chaffee with Duhaime and Dewar.
I watched Vegas last night and they got Hamburglared – that trade is finally paying off for the Wild. Dominated the 2nd and most of the 3rd but couldn’t score. I can’t believe Vegas is choking it away, but if we’re lucky we might see Bruce and the Canucks sneak into the playoffs. Either team would be better than the Kings.
Boudreau is doing what he always does. .667 winning % since getting hired. We will see if they can get it, but they were in a big hole.
Carolina could be in real trouble with their goalie situation. Anderson evaluated after a week? Hopefully the Hamburglar can keep it up and Anderson can come back, but if he doesnt their playoffs might be short. They certainly have the firepower to outscore about anyone sans the Panthers.
Vancouver winning decreases the value of the 2nd rounder we got for McBain, so i’m hoping they lose…Hoping Vegas loses as well, I’d like the see the Kings get in…
Back to Vegas for a second. Vegas has the same record as Buffalo since Eichel played his first game there. They have been inundated with injuries, but that is really something.
That’s cuz Jack is not a winner.
Id honestly like to hear Foligno respond to questions about Eichel’s character. Its been rumored that he’s a cancer, but I know guys generally dont like to talk about that stuff unless your name is Evander Kane.
Fluery says he wants to play one more year and then see after that. Of course he didn’t reveal any thoughts on where he would like to play. He would certainly have to give the Wild a team friendly deal which he very well may be willing to do. But something tells me he would prefer to go back to Pittsburgh and retire in a Pens jersey.
Vegas struggled to give Flower away for free after winning the Norris and 2 playoff series. They couldn’t give him away the summer before. That was on a $7m AAV, so what does that make him worth this summer after a down season? I have no idea but my guess is somewhere around $3m – $4m. Let’s see a Billy G special at 1 year x $1m AAV

You certainly don’t hear the opposite of him and how everyone loves to play with him and he is the greatest team mate and what not.

What the flower may want and what pitt wants may be two different things.
Foligno was asked about Eichel last fall and said he loved him. I get that no one’s going to trash a former teammate to the media, but it seemed like he genuinely liked Eichel and thought he was a good dude. They played together quite a bit his first 2 seasons.
Penguins are done after this year, Malkin and Letang are UFA’s and Crosby is a year older…they have ZERO prospects in their pool as well…Flower’s family seems to have settled in Chicago which was one the main reasons for him allowing a trade to MN so they are close by…GMBG will get him to sign a sweetheart deal with the Wild, he can always sign a 1 day contract and retire in Pittsburgh the following year if that’s what he wants…
