My Minnesota Wild calendar that I got at the home opener says the game is on BSN+. I turn on the tv, Breaking Par Classics is on. I check the grid and it says NHL hockey. WTF, where is the game?

I’ve somehow lost the BSN+ channel completely! Scanned for channels about 4 times in the last 15 minutes and it’s just gone sad

Only thing that makes sense is the original gamelan was to throw the game to keep Vegas out of the playoffs. Then after 10 minutes they couldn’t take it anymore and started actually playing.

My theory is they knew Ballys screwed up the telecast and since nobody was watching they didn’t really want to play hard and gave up the quick 3 goals, then once the telecast was fixed, they played hard and scored 6 unanswered goals for the win…

No outages on my ESPN+ feed either waytogo

just 2 observations over the past few games, Middleton is a beauty! I sure hope GMBG can lock him up longterm at a really low caphit, he seems to absolutely love it here and he could be a great pairing with Spurgeon for years to come…loved his toothless chuckle last night when Duhaime dropped the gloves after the Buggy goal….

Greenway is removing ALL worries (I had many) about his work ethic and future with this team, the dude is just a wrecking ball out there! Big Rig!

This whole Cable Where’s Waldo game “What network is the game on TODAY?” is a giant cluster ####. And it has to have a lot of subscribers like me with their mouse pointer hovering over the “cancel” button.

Having the games bouncing around between channels, networks, and now this crap with some games being only on the damn ESPN+ app has got to be a huge turnoff to viewers. The whole reason I have any cable/sat subscription at all is for the freaking Wild games and the occasional college hockey game.

Just another typical Wild First Period Sleepwalking episode yesterday. Well, it was worse than “typical”, usually they only give up 2 goals… Deano has to be having kittens about this inability to get out of bed for the first 20 minutes of hockey.

I will say, it turns an ordinary @ss kicking of the Kings into a real crowd pleaser. When they got those 2 goals back in the first, suddenly the crowd got into it because you just know what’s coming and what do you know…

Boldy is just a terrific pick and one of those deals where we got the player we thougth we were going to get when we drafted him. Give us more of that!

He absolutely is, but it’s funny how Cole Caufield has swung the pendulum back towards himself again this 2nd half of the season…it looks like we couldn’t have gone wrong with either…

4th line was real good yesterday and I think they should rotate the 4th line wingers down the stretch here (Dewar playing in Iowa), and maybe even in the playoffs depending on how the games go. I get what D-Lo brings to the team, but he doesn’t need to be in the lineup every night. Jost is the center every night but between Duhaime, D-Lo, Bjugy, and even Dewar they have a full bag of different options for the playoffs. All completely different players and good in different areas so might as well keep them all fresh and healthy for the playoffs. D-Lo and Duhaime start the playoffs for the physical presence but we’ll probably see all of them if they play long enough.

Are we going to see Rossi again this year? My guess is only for the last game or two and only if the seeding is already decided. Even then we’d probably see Rau and Shaw before Rossi. Iowa’s last game is the 27th and won’t start playoffs until May if they even make it. Wild’s last 2 games are 28th and 29th against Calgary and Colorado shock

It all happened when St Louis took over. Have you seen him working with him in practice? Its funny, I saw a video of the two in practice they St Louis was showing him to catch the pass off a one-timer and then make a move and shoot instead of firing the one-timer. He scored doing that same move, from the same spot on the ice where they were working on it that very night! It was pretty dang cool to see.

Sounds like Meyers will be making his decision in the next couple days. It will be interesting to see where he goes, but he’s got quite the list to chose from.

with the Jost pickup that pretty much kills the idea of Rossi being a playoff top6 injury replacement. He had a terrific first half of the AHL season but has hit a wall the 2nd half (expected for a 19 year old who hasn’t played the year+ before, so he can now rest up and get ready for training camp 2022/2023 season where he’ll likely take Gaudreau’s spot at 2C.

I’m actually a little happy he’s struggled a bit this 2nd half, it basically killed most of the “When’s Rossi getting called up” hype of the fanbase and likely put his mindset back towards “There’s still things I need to work on” vs “I’m too good for the AHL”

I agree if there’s nothing left to play for the last homestand I think it would be a good idea for GMBG to bring up Rossi, Beckman, Addison and Chaffe as a reward for their good AHL seasons (Beckman to a lesser degree, but I think the Org loves him)

The one thing that worries me about him NOT picking the Wild is because he’s basically only signing a 1 year contract and will we have any money to re-sign him afterwards? That would likely be his agent talking him through those scenarios (How do we capiailize the most short/long term financially)

Compared to the last few regimes and the Parise Suter years this club has no where near the level of problems starting out slow.

They sure dont, but its going to catch up to them at some point. Its great to see the comebacks, but man, its hazardous for my health.

Can they be a good come from behind team without also being slow starters? Sorry got a little philosophical there.

Speaking of coming from behind… this highlight was ridiculous

Hockey, the beautiful game. Lemiex is such a little prick, but I too had to laugh. It was funny seeing Ek’s face as that was going on and then watching the puck go into the net.

I’d like to see a Fiala-Jost-Boldy line these last games to see if those three could catch fire. I could see those three causing some heart burn in some D pairings. If it doesn’t work go back to Freddy. But if it does you could really be lethal going into the playoffs.
