^^agree TSW hence my original statement.
I saw an interesting metric on twitter earlier I think it was put together by Dom consonant. It was Player rankings that when they are on the ice the xGF for the team. Josi no surprise, but the #2 guy certainly was. Goligoski.
His plus minus would certainly indicate that yes.
Guessing that’s also why they signed him to two more years.

Don’t think anyone said otherwise.
Second question.
Toronto and Dallas obviously. I mean they are the leading teams in faceoff percentage.

The only analytics I follow is faceoff percentage. And that tells me Leafs over Stars in the Stanley Cup Finals
LOL Rip beat me to it.
I try not to hate on Benn, but man that was brutal.
Haha we have a great game going on and we are all bantering about other crap! Perfect!
I hope this is the last time we see Jordie Benn. Wow did he get walked bad for that goal and has looked overall bad tonight.

Anyone know their record against the Blues and Preds?
Oh good lord wild are 0-2 against the blues. We are screwed.
Never crossed my mind but you sir, could be correct.
Great defense by Gaudreau….
Good thing he won’t be out there 3 on 3 in the playoffs.

Just shot a crow to put in my freezer so one of us can eat in a month.
Brodin and Kulikov have been terrible together
Like worse than Dumba and Brodin. Weird
At least Benn is smart enough not to hurt himself by hitting people. He just makes the smart play and let’s Schenn politely go around him. I can guarantee Addison didn’t get walked tonight.
Freddy got crossed up and gave too much space, but that was a snipe by Thomas in OT. He didn’t even have his running mate Kyrou tonight.

Pretty confident this thread needs more than one. I likely need to scarf down a whole flock by the end of this season.

They just dont pair up well, during fill-in situations, its probably better to have Gologoski play with him.

Evason eluded that one of those two didnt follow the “system” they have for 3-3 OT (he’s likely talking about Goligoski not staying with his man on the 2-2)
Asked whether they considered recalling rookie Calen Addison instead of putting the veteran Benn in a tough spot, Evason said, “We thought Jordie was great. Obviously, he gets beat with speed at the end. He gets a little bit flat-footed on Schenn’s goal. But he had probably three, four scoring chances himself. Kept pucks in, made good passes, he was gritty, played hard. We really liked his game.”

Ooookay Deano whatever you say. Whistling through the graveyard
Addison can’t be that bad. C’mon man!

I’m no genius, but Benn isn’t there to get 3 or 4 scoring chances. He’s there to prevent 3 or 4 scoring chances.
I give Benn a little slack since he’s been the odd man out and hasn’t seen the ice much but that was just awful.
I’m not against Benn he has the street cred he’s just past his prime. Meanwhile you have a young agile puck handler who can run the power play who has been in NHL playoff games sitting in Iowa getting stale. I think Deano is running interference for BG on some of this stuff.
Interesting how Deano is all forgiving with some players and drops the hammer on others.
Hopefully the Wild gets some help tonight with everybody else in the division playing…
Go Islanders!
Nvm, Isles mailing it in tonight…
Wouldn’t it be cool if the Wild announced the Ben Meyers signing during the game tonight…. Just saying….
