Oilers gonna blow that game….
Zegras did it again tonight! This one was even better! Unreal
April 2, 2022 at 4:18 am #2113194Seems the Wild have quite a few games in April. Getting excited for a playoff push.

Somebody better check Zegras stick blade for Stic-Um or something. That puck defied gravity for what looked like two seconds while he got around Milano.

They’re probably saving her for the playoffs… wouldn’t that be awful?

Wondered the same thing. They must have finally listened to the feedback and benched her.
CaptainMuskyPosts: 22882April 2, 2022 at 8:09 pm #2113377OMG Ek just used his skate to win a faceoff! We have some progress!
CaptainMuskyPosts: 22882April 2, 2022 at 8:22 pm #2113381Kaprizov is so good
He is a cheat code. It’s unreal to think we have a player this good.
April 2, 2022 at 8:29 pm #2113382F’ing lazy Bjugstad!
And then Lou praises his game tonight, lol not sure what game he’s been watching? Bjugstad has looked brutal
CaptainMuskyPosts: 22882April 2, 2022 at 8:52 pm #2113387Fleury looking like a monster pick up. Gives the team some street cred and confidence boost.
RipjiggenPosts: 11625April 2, 2022 at 10:18 pm #2113406Looking at some wild stuff after the game. Dumbas goal against Pitt was the 1st PP goal by a defensemen this entire season. Kind of blew my mind.
Ice CapPosts: 2163April 3, 2022 at 8:29 am #2113422Fluery has got to be the first legitimate superstar who is actually happy to be here.
April 3, 2022 at 9:58 am #2113443I dont get all of the drama going around the NHL regarding the Flyers ending Keith Yandle’s ironman streak? He’s obviously not good enough to dress anymore and will most likely retire at the end of the year. Phil Kessel is only a few games behind him and still has some career left and will most likely easily pass him anyways…
It’s funny for as much crap Kessel gets for his work ethic and physique, he’ll hold the ironman record that will never be broken!

Lou is a great guy. He knows more hockey and has lived more hockey history than any of us could ever hope to have or live. He’s in his 80’s and yes his mind might be slipping some, but is still better than a lot of the color guys doing hockey broadcasts. I ran into him once in a north Mpls. bar he was waiting on someone. I sat next to him and we had two beers and we conversed about a lot of things not hockey. I was a huge Neal Broten fan and let Lou know but the rest of the conversation was about cars, beer kids etc. The guy he was waiting for was Glen Sonmore. Glen walked in and sat next to us and Lou introduced me to him like we were old friends.
I don’t recall doing it but I must have given Lou one of my business cards. About a month later he called me at home. A night after a game which if iirc Broten scored a hat trick. Lou says ” How’d ya like that game last night!!” We only chatted less than a minute but he took the time to call me. I’ve been forever impressed with the man.

Fun fact, Winnipeg Jet, Hermantown boy, Neal Pionk was named after Neal Broten. His younger brother, Aaron was named after Aaron Broten. Dad sure loves the Broten’s.

I love Lou, just funny how he was protecting Bjugstad a minute after his mistake resulted in a lost shutout….
April 3, 2022 at 2:26 pm #2113515I love Lou, just funny how he was protecting Bjugstad is all…
I think he’s a nice guy but ya he was completely off on the Bjugstad analysis. The primary reason he does that is because Bjugstad is home grown from Blaine and played for the Gophers.
I met Lou at Da Beauty League in Edina a few summers ago. His grandson Vinny Letteri (from Minnetonka) was playing out there. He has a wealth of knowledge, but he just has trouble conveying it to people nowadays because of his age.
