Deano needs to rip into the players between periods… they are getting too cute in the offensive zone and lazy in the D zone…

This is one of those games by Fiala where you wouldn’t mind him being traded…

Huge 3rd period coming up, with the Stars loss and Blues losing its a big chance to create some space with them…

Took me a full season to connect the dots but I finally figured it out. Leah Hextall is Tricia Takanawa

Faceoffs dont matter…. Funny how Ek lost the draw before that about as clean as you can…

So he was 50% when it matters and they scored

They worked their butts off 19 minutes for that goal

Monster save by Flower in OT

Looked benign but that was Laine and it was going bar down if he didn’t get a shoulder on it.

The stars got it done on the stat sheet but that was a full team effort. 3rd period was seriously impressive.

Thanks for those to answer my channel questions. Got home from my uncles tonight just in time to see the tying goal late in the 3rd and then the OT winner. Very nice!

Sure fun to watch. So was the movie slap shot, but ask TB how it’s like to raise lord Stanley, or Pitt or Chicago…

Getting back to the wild. Had to watch on my phone being in Florida but…LFG

Not just them but curious how they play the roster going forward. Can definitely give some players some rest with the amount of guys on the roster but also their standings of where they are at.

10 of the next 11 games are against playoff teams. These last few games have been fun and they seem to be rolling, but we’re about to find out exactly where they stand over the next 3 weeks.

I miss the Bobby Clark days. Al Secord and Willy Plett. No helmets, bare knuckle brawling. Hell yeah. Men were men. 90% of the players today would not have survived in those days. Skating circles around the net on your edges would have been a self imposed death penalty. Even the Russian Five figured out North American hockey after taking their lumps. Fun times.

Those old goons would not have been able to catch most of today’s speed guys. The speed today is not comparable to back then.

Can’t wait for the game tonight. Going to be a good test. Did I hear Landeskog is out for the season after knee surgery?

Rules are completely different now, arguing who’s better in different eras is a moot point. The 70s goons would be in the box the whole game in this era. Put today’s smallish stars back in the 70s and most would spend the season on LTIR or just be ineffective.

Possibly the regular season but he’s for sure back by playoffs, likely sooner.

I for one am glad that fighting and goon hockey has been weeded out of the game. Guys like Boogaard were popular, but they were not effective hockey players. If the only skill set you have nowadays is your fists, you aren’t going to make it on any roster anymore. The closest guy still playing that way I can think of is Ryan Reeves. And he’s a punk.

And he will most likely be a healthy scratch half the playoff games.

Is D-Lo not a younger Reavo? He at least can kill penalties, but haven’t seen that with the Wild yet.

    Goose scratched tonight?

Deslauriers. The role and skills of the “equalizers” has changed but they still have a role and Minnesota learned that a few weeks back when Winnipeg, Calgary, New Jersey and even Columbus to a degree beat us up. They wiped our pure skill game with the ice with us, billy got beef and that bought us time and space. yeah glad true goon honey is gone but it is still there, just different.

They also scored a million goals on some pretty terrible goaltending but let’s not talk about that
