If anyone knows about winning and riding a hot goalie hand it’s Flower. Been on both sides of that coin.

Deano looks pretty happy after this game in the interview.

I know one thing Cam and flower are a better combo than Cam and KK and I can say this without seeing Flower play a single game in a wild sweater.

Don’t look now but Cam has a .930 save percentage in his last five starts.

So Vegas just ignored Dadonov’s NTC based on some technicality and now the trade is being disputed. Hilarious. I really hope it gets rescinded and then he gets traded to some other non playoff team so hockey Twitter goes crazy when they realize trades can happen after the trade deadline.

Vegas is really digging their own grave with how they are treating players. Quickly going from a destination that can get every big fish to a cut throat back stabbing franchise in just a few years.

Where are you seeing this? Who’s is disputing it Dandonov?

its everywhere, there should be abundant electronic evidence the no trade list was passed along from Ottawa to Vegas… Vegas is saying they never got it…

They obviously knew Dadonov had a NTC. He’s been in trade rumors since they got Eichel. At best, they chose not to ask what teams and play the forgiveness instead of permission game. At worst, they told Dadonov to kick rocks and see them in court. My guess is something closer to the latter.

Either way, he’s just another name on the list of players VGK management did dirty. Schmidt, Fleury, Tuch are the big names that come to mind – there’s definitely more. Alan Walsh (Fleury’s agent) threw more shade at the Knights and praised the freaking Blackhawks today after the Flower trade. Vegas will be the Coyotes with lipstick real soon if they keep this up.

Wouldn’t be shocked to see Middleton slide into Goligoski’s spot in the top 4. Billy G kinda froze up when asked about his role and defaulted to saying he played big minutes with the sharks and he’ll have a big role with the Wild. He was Erik Karlsson’s partner this entire season.

Also of note. Jack McBain is dead to Billy G.

Hartman has to lead the team in empty net goals this season. Seems like nearly every one we’ve scored has been his.

They were commenting on PA’s announcing last night this morning on the power trip morning show. Rosen said hockey is by far the hardest to announce because of how fast the play develops. Kinda makes me appreciate all the normal radio and TV hockey announcers out there more. The amount of time it must take to prepare for every new team is staggering. Minimal preparation isn’t going to cut it.

Kaprizov played less than 18 minutes last night and had 1 shot on goal, I hope Zuc told him he needs to shoot on their 2-1…

I saw a stat the other night that said Kaprizov gets like 2-3+ fewer minutes of icetime a game vs the other top 10 scorers in the league.

Maybe its just Deano’s way of resting him without giving him a maintenance game off…

Never cared for PA’s style. To over the top with his calls. Brings a fake excitement to routine plays. I can’t imagine him calling hockey. I just hope he doesn’t have aspirations of being a regular. If I have to listen to radio I listen to Sirus and will often listen to the opposing teams broadcast it gives you a different perspective.

I didn’t see all of the game last night as I was entertaining the grandson but what I saw was a god awful Vegas team. I get all the players injured but wow! I’m guessing a certain guy on TNT will be calling them out for having no depth anytime now.

it looked like Delauries’ presence on the 4th line calmed Duhaime down and got him under control more, he was much more effective last night vs previous games…Duhaime was always just an uncontrolled fully speed guy, showed much more patience last night on the forecheck…

I cant stand listening to PA calling football games but I actually thought he was pretty good last night. I really miss hearing Bob Kurtz on the calls this year year. I hope he does some more games over the new guy.

What the heck is Vegas going to do if the Dadonov trade doesnt go through? Arent they currently over the cap? What a dang mess. Claiming ignorance on this is pure insanity since the NTC is easily available on CapFriendly.

It’s mostly McDavid and Draisaitle with this heavy minutes.

Most likely due the wild like to roll all 4 when leading.

I hope they put Middleton with Spurge and send Goli down. That would be nice to have some beef with Spurge to take some of the contact off him. Interesting reading about the behind the scenes stuff with MAF trade. Kaakonen deal was agreed to earlier but couldnt be done until MAF deal done. Then Chicago asked for KK in the trade.

Overall Kirill is #8 in points/TOI so near the top but not like he’s underutilized. He’s getting 19 minutes per game which is pretty much in line with #1 star wingers. Huberdeau, Gaudreau, Panarin, Forsberg at 18-19 minutes too. Star centers get a little more at 20-21. Teams like the Leafs, Aves, and Jets really lean on their top line with all 3 guys getting 20+ minutes. Ovi plays all power play minutes so he’s around 21. McDavid and Draisaitl are unicorns on a terrible team and play like 23 minutes

He didn’t find the stat sheet but I thought KK was really flying through the neutral zone last night. Barely lost a couple pucks or didn’t pull the trigger like that 2v1 but was very close a number of times. We all know it only takes 1 chance for him to capitalize. I think he’s looking faster lately, straight line speed anyway.

I really think Goli might end up the odd man out for Middleton, or at least on the bottom pair. It’s weird to say that with him leading the team in +/- and leading the D in points, but we’ve all seen his play lately. If you watched BG’s press conference he was very uncomfortable when asked where Middleton would play. Yes he said Jost would get a big role too, but this felt different.

Yep even as staunch defender of Fiala that was bad, Talbot saved him from Deano probably sitting him awhile for that one. Early in the game Dumba tried to step up at the blue line and strip the puck but it didn’t work and got behind him. Lots of turnovers in the second and lost puck battles. They let Vegas hang around longer than they probably should have in this game.

That was Dumba-like! So bad. Billy G already hinted that he liked pairing Spurg with Merrill against heavier teams to give him some protection so I wouldn’t be shocked if Middleton take Goligoskis spot. It’s not like he’s played well anyway.

I was so pissed with Dumbas game last night. He was constantly making mistakes, your example was just one of them. Man, I wanted him traded between periods. Then of course he scores when he doesnt try to hammer the puck through the net and miss.

I really think GMBG figures out a way to move on from Dumba before the draft, we have plenty of leaders in the locker room to take his place, he’s just too mistake prone and his “vaunted slap shot” is not a factor anymore (he can’t hit the net anyways)

Even if his caphit isn’t enough to afford a Fiala extension it gives them capspace to maybe sign Wild Flower a few more years (I was totally surprised GMBG mentioned that last night) it also gives them some capspace wiggle room to replace Gologoski and sign who they need to…

Don’t hold your breath on Dumba. Billy G sounds like his mind is made up on the off-season cap-situation, and all signs point to Fiala getting traded.
