I would have preferred they would have stayed pat for the most part and try to figure out a way to keep Fiala but when Jost came in that pretty much made sure Fiala was moving. What BG did was moves that he could do on the cheap for the most part and gave the team a good chance to improve. Will they? That remains to be seen. What seems exciting now could look very different in the rear view mirror in three weeks or a year from now.

I think more impressive aspect of the moves today is that the Wild didn’t give up any of their known assets/prospects (outside of Kaapo who they likley weren’t resigning anyways) just a few unknown draft picks..
We still have Rossi, Wallstedt, Beckman, Addison, Lambos, Hunt, O’Rourke, Khusnidinov, Peart, etc, etc

yeah they sure did. I think they thought they would swindle teams but it failed miserably.

I think it was worth a shot with Fleury. The Wild have a good team but not gonna win the Cup with our current goaltending. It just wasn’t working out with Kaapo, so time to move on.

I don’t think Jost means Fiala is gone. That remains to be seen. But we have seen when one of our top 9 go down we didn’t have much to fill in. Jost may be that guy.
