It’s definitely going to be fun either way. I hope Chicago made Fleury look worse than he is these days. But you’re right, it won’t take much to improve our current goaltending.

I’m kind of surprised Flower didnt go to Colorado but I like all the moves Billy G made. I made a bet for the wild to win the Cup so this helps my odds!

I’m guessing the Wild are done trading UNLESS they are absolutely blown away by an unexpected trade request…

Did Colorado do anything except trade for Sturm?

I like these moves. Beefed up the lineup big time and have a proven #1 goalie and cam has been playing well of late.

Colorado is gutting their prospect pool. In the last 6 months they’ve traded a 1st, two 2nds, a 3rd, and their three top D prospects for Kuemper, Manson, and Lehkonen… all three are pending UFAs.

Avs just traded a 2024 2nd rounder and their best defensive prospect (Justin Barron) for Artturi Lehkonen (pretty much another Sturm?)

Yes they are pretty set at D but they cant afford all of them forever…

Well BG didn’t overpay for anyone I don’t think so overall some decent moves on the cheap. I bet he does the grocery shopping in the family! Now if everyone pans out to be who we think they are, good.

The most intriguing move to me is Jost. He could have the most upside going forward.

ha! You beat me by a minute! Yes, Avs will be replacing their injured studs with JV guys for years to come!

I really like him too. It would be nice to see him up the lineup a bit but as weve said no way Dean bumps Gaudreau down and hes actually been producing lately. Jost is terrible on FO, but we are used to that. Im flinching TSWOBODA, I know FO % doesnt mean a whole lot, just an observation.

That is a head scratcher but it was rumored the Caps wanted him back and they paid a hefty price for it.

Would not be opposed to a Paul Statsny trade trickling in if the price is a 3rd or less. I think Jost is a cheaper/higher ceiling Sturm replacement for next season but Statsny can help anywhere in the lineup this year. You faceoff heathens would get your guy too…

Also feel like Stastny has about 1,000 playoff points for every Western Conference team and they’re all against the Wild. So trading for him would prevent that happening again.

We are all over the map at times on here. I was almost to the point of selling off this year when they were in the swoon, but now that BG put his brass ones on the table lets fricking GO!

Good for Hammond that he got 4 games with the Habs and now hopefully a few more for the Devils with their top 2 goalies both injured. I think he went 5 or 6 years between NHL starts.
