The glorified pole barn called Lambeau still has more trophies than the glass house of the team of few titles. This is going to be fun. toast toast

I’ve been to Lambeau 4 times the last 10 years, and sat everywhere from a suite to the bench “seats”. It’s so overrated. Green Bay tailgating and Packers fans there are great, and super friendly and worth the trip. The stadium itself is best suited for 4H or the FFA. I go to an away Vikes game every year and have been to 12 different NFL stadiums and Lambeau is and has been the most basic nothingness. Soldier Field is the worst logistically, but it looks cool architecturally and you can feel the history there. Lambeau is a combo of a pole barn and an Applebees. And fwiw since US Bank stadium opened the Pack have done nothing but choke in NFC Championship games.

I’ve never been to a game in Green Bay but I was there in late July once and took the hour long tour for 10 bucks and then ate at Curlys Pub afterwards. The tour was well worth it. Just the history of the Packers and the NFL there I found to be very interesting. The bronze statues out front of Curly and Vince are nice too.

What’s really different is that the stadium itself is in the middle of a residential neighborhood. Most other NFL stadiums and pro sports stadiums are in bigger cities, surrounding by office buildings. There’s houses right across the street from Lambeau Field.

The bench style metal seating looks awful though. No back rests for 4 hours sounds kinda rough.

The tailgating and pre/post game around Lambeau is great and worth the trip alone. And the fans are great too, like my favorite drunk cousins. But the benches are terrible, and numbered in a way that would fit 150 lbs tri-athletes, not 250+ lbs football fans. And when it’s -5 degrees everyone takes up the space of a 250+ lbs Chris Farley. It was so bad one year 3 fans couldn’t even sit down in our row, sat in the aisle. and that was post “renovation”. Also the only stadium I’ve been to where gallons of booze are smuggled in by the handle and passed around, which is a +/- depending on your perspective.

I’d love to tailgate at Lambeau sometime. That’s my kind of party

Apparently the reason they have not converted to normal seats instead of benches is that it would reduce capacity. And with so many people waiting for season tickets, that would seem counterintuitive. That’s what I was told on the tour.

Bench seats are fine …nobody sits anyway…they are up and rowdy the whole game.. was there for the cold NFC championship against the giants in 2008… best atmosphere you will ever see..the way football is supposed to be.

I’ve been to a Vikings/Packers game at Lambeau, in December. Awesome tailgating, party atmosphere, everyone wearing winter coats (or deer hunting gear)

IMO, as awesome as US Bank Stadium is. I’d trade it for an outdoor stadium with weather as home field advantage. I just think football, as most sports, belongs outdoors.

Pay Justin Jefferson whatever he wants! And O’Donnell has him dialed in running free. Anyone seen Jaire?!?

Woofda…going to be a long Fall for Badgers/Packers fans. 10 years ago I’d have killed my liver twice by now watching these performances. Now I just head outside to get something done.

A-Rodg visibly upset. Can’t say I blame him when the best receiver remaining is Randall Cobb.

He’s been hanging the sirloin/pouting since the first dropped pass.

    Agreed.

However he’s playing without his 2 best linemen and now lost a third. Even with today’s meaningless preseason for starters, the Packers are somehow now down to 2 starting O-linemen. This will get worse in the coming weeks before it gets better. One has to wonder if All-Pro Bakhtiari’s career is done.

As soon as that dropped pass happened in the 1st quarter I figured he’d be that way. Awful teammate, probably an awful person. HOF player, but a complete b!tch.

It’s always all about Erin. Have to throw and pad the stats the final couple of plays instead of taking a knee and running clock like the rest of the NFL does.

Love to say I was wrong on this one! Did not expect O’Donnell to be so dialed in JJ was running free all over, not that our new defensive scheme would be playing at midseason level. L. F. G!!!!

That was a beatdown. Great way to start the season. Refreshing play on both sides of the ball with the change in schemes

I wish that b!tch had been our quarterback the last 15 years 🤣

Pretty typical Captian K. Solid, consevative-he looks alot better when the defense is rockin’.

If the defense can just improve even just some, they should easily win another 2-3 more games. A road test at a solid Eagles squad awaits in week 2 on MNF.

Is it safe to say KOC owns Aaron Rodgers and the packers? Lol a little concern with the run blocking but all and all a great opener.

SO glad to have Zimmer gone. 3 years of beating that drum and a definite difference in game play finally lead to a clear and decisive win. Bye bye Zimmer!!!

It was a good game to watch, but as a lifelong Vikings fan, I was still waiting until deep into the 4th quarter for the implosion to happen. I’m glad it didn’t, and I loved the outcome!
That being said, I hope they don’t spend too much time patting themselves on the backside. There are still some glaring issues (O-line and Defensive secondary to name a few). Had that first Packer play from scrimmage not been dropped, it would have been a completely different game.
