I’ve also never understood why the Packers ‘true’ rivalry is with the Bears. I think the true rivalry is with the Vikings but they are too scared to admit it, because the Vikings actually beat them fairly often, even with Rodgers at QB. I know it goes back to long ago games/teams, but in the last 30 years the Packers are like 48-19 against the Bears. That’s not a rivalry, that’s complete ownership lol.

Packers are 36-30-3 against in the Vikings in that same span. Pretty close!

Totally agree, and most Packers fans do as well I think. They just say that as an insult to Vikes fans, and the fact the Bears and Packers are #1 and #2 in all time wins.

the Bears were the bigger one, i suspect based on the long history. but even going back to the 90s I think it’s shifted to the the Vikings.

i grew up in Green Bay, so when i was living in the Twin Cities i took my roommates for a visit and to catch a Vikings game at Lambeau. they asked if it was “safe” to wear their Vikings gear out to the bars on Saturday night. i just laughed and said, “Yes, it’s Green Bay.” they had a blast.

i took my son to his first game at Lambeau this year, what a cool thing to be able to do. if you haven’t been, you owe it to yourself to go sometime regardless of who you cheer for. i caught plenty of games at the Metrodumb, but i haven’t yet been to the upgrade at USBank. i’m tentatively planning a road game with my son for next fall depending on the schedule.

You may need to start mentally preparing for having your own seat, 72 degrees, and indoor plumbing whistling rotflol

I’m a huge fan of my home state Vikings but I can admit that the Green Bay experience looks awesome. I’ve only been there once, for work this past summer, but everything looked awesome. Minnesota keeps dropping our nice new stadiums in the middle of the urban world and I don’t like it. In Green Bay you can see Lambeau for miles. Driving around the stadium there are just normal, single-family homes close by, and very few high buildings, so the stadium dominates the landscape. And drive about 3-5 minutes in any direction and you’ll find yourself a corn field. And when I was there in August there was big news to be had-a Hy-Vee was coming to town! Honestly I would much rather have the atmosphere and set-up that Green Bay has.

The reason the Packers/Bears rivalry is because the Pack started in 1919 and the Bears in 1920. They have been playing each other for 40 years before the Vikings were even in existence. Also remember that 1/2 the games were played in Milwaukee until the Brewers go a new stadium, only 2 hours from Chicago.

I was there in August a few years ago and took the hour long tour of the stadium for 10 bucks. So worth it. Just the history of the Packers and NFL football itself was worth the tour. Plus I got to walk out on to the field as well. Haven’t been to a game there. Sometime I will. Had a whitefish sandwich and a beer at Curly’s Pub after the tour.

The location in seemingly the middle of a suburban neighborhood was the thing that stood out to me too. Its unlike any other professional sporting venue, maybe in the entire country. There’s houses right across the street from the stadium. That is very unique.

I was at the game this past Sunday and there sure were a lot of Viking Fans. Also when you sit in club you get that 75 degrees and indoor plumbing haha! But both fans this past weekend were fun and we saw a lot of Viking Fans in the Title Town Distract the night before. What they have done around Lambeau is really something with the sledding hill, Skating rink, and shops. The Vikings really should have built out in Arden Hills and could of had something similar.

Another missed PAT. How does this continue to happen. Make a 61 yard FG as time expires and miss a 33 yd PAT.

Poor situational football to end the half. They called the final timeout a down too soon and then didn’t throw it into the endzone on the final play, thus leading to the bungled, rushed field-goal attempt.

Well 13-4 is certainly a lot better than I predicted. I had this team pegged at 10-7 as a wild card playoff team. Looks like the Bears will have the first overall pick in the draft.

Unless the Cardinals pull off a miracle against the Niners, the Giants will be coming to Minneapolis in the wild card round next week.

As expected, the Vikings are the 3 seed in the NFC and will host the 6th seeded NY Giants on Sunday at 3:30pm. The opening line has the Vikings favored by 2.5 points. Just 15 days ago, the Vikings beat the Giants at US Bank Stadium 27-24 courtesy of a Greg Joseph 61 yd walk-off FG.

The Giants mostly played their back ups yesterday against the Eagles, as they could not move up or down in the standings.

Solid boring performance yesterday to cement a great and very entertaining season! I don’t think anyone predicted 13 wins out of this squad. I think they handle the Giants at home, and can beat anyone on a given day. Sounds like Bradbury and Brandel both might be back for the playoffs which is a big step up from Reed and Udoh. I just don’t think we see a long run, but we are playing with house money at this point imo so let it rip! Kings of the North!

I’m not too concerned about the Giants either but with this team anything can happen. That being said I think they win and go on to the next round. If our D can show up even a little, they should be able to keep the Giants offense in check.

If they win and move on Round 2 will be the big test.

In the last 25 years they have only lost in the first round 3 times. Just sayin…

Now second round that’s a different story.

The last two appearances they have played and beaten the Saints, and then losing to the Eagles and 49ers.

Back in 2015 was their last first round exit against Seattle. The Blair Walsh debacle.

By no means are the Giants a push over. 16 days ago they were missing a couple of important defensive players, including their top cornerback who will likely be covering JJ this time. I foresee another close game. Hopefully sitting Zadarius last week gives him a burst of energy on the pass rush.

Based off what? Here’s what the google said about the experts odds:
    Moneyline: Giants +160 (bet $100 to win $160) | Vikings -190 (bet $190 to win $100)
    Against the spread (ATS): Giants +3.5 (-110) | Vikings -3.5 (-110)

It’s a sexy pic for the upset. Most of the other games won’t be very competitive.

On paper, the closest matchup is the Chargers/Jaguars game, followed by the Giants/Vikings.

The Giants will be healthier this time around too. Their top cover cornerback did not play in the first game. He’ll be on JJ this time around.

Just curious, is their top cover corner gonna cover JJ?

    Per NBC Sports:

The Giants could try to scheme up a dozen different ways to contain the NFL’s best receiver, but it would be a lot easier to just ask Adoree’ Jackson to handle the job.

Jackson, who missed the final seven games of the regular season with a reported sprained MCL, was limited in Wednesday’s practice, as has been the case in recent weeks. After receiving extra attention from a trainer at the start of practice, the veteran cornerback said he is “not sure” if he will return Sunday to match up with the Vikings’ Justin Jefferson in the Giants’ wild-card contest, but safety Xavier McKinney provided a more encouraging forecast.

“He’s going to be there, for sure,” McKinney laughed. “Even when me and Adoree’ are out there, they’re going to make plays on Sunday.”

Jefferson toasted the Giants (mostly No. 2 cornerback Fabian Moreau) for 12 catches, 133 yards and a touchdown on Christmas Eve. McKinney also missed that game, a 27-24 loss, with a broken hand but since has returned.

Bradbury was a full participant yesterday, so I think he plays. Reed hasn’t been good, but it hasn’t been a dumpster fire either.

I am more worried about the right tackle, but yes that center position is a little sketchy right now as well.

I will be there win or lose I’m sure I’ll get a good buzz with the free booze.

Because O’Neil doesn’t show up in the stat sheets I think a lot of people forget we’re missing one of the best tackles in football. Because of that and their bad defense my most sure fire prediction is that sometime this postseason Cousins gets massacred all day and internet experts will declare “see, Cousins can’t win a big game. “
