The two TD returns we made off of turnovers looked legit to me.
    What was I missing?!

The first one was the correct call. Forward progress was halted, and they blew the play dead, and then the ball came out.

I disagree totally. The guy was still fighting for yardage and that was the quickest whistle I’ve ever seen. With all of the pushing from linemen that is allowed these days that whistle should’ve never been blown. When a guy is fighting for yardage there is no reason the whistle should be blown.

Ryan was still ‘fighting for yardage’ on that sneak on 4th & 1 as well and they blew it dead…if forward progress is judged to be stopped, it’s blown dead regardless if the runner is still ‘fighting.’ The one on the receiver was 50/50, seems they usually blow those dead after a second or so.

I was walking around downtown NC with limited coverage of the game.
Saw they were down a boatload at half so we kept walking around.
Stopped in at the Capital grill and had them turn the game on one of the TV’s and could not believe it was tied.
    I started hootin and hollerin.
Soon all TV’s had the game on.
    What a game!!!!

I’m am now a Mr. Cousins fan.

Now, where did I put that lawn chair?

That was one of the most amazing games I’ve watched. Despite the score the defense only gave up 1 touchdown which is unreal. I was getting my topper installed and stopped watching the game before half. Hopped in my truck partway through the 3rd and that’s when everything turned around. I cannot believe it but this team has no quit.

I wouldn’t be getting too high on this win. If you watched Indy against the Cowboys last week, I wouldn’t put too much on this comeback. The way the defense is playing, it could be one and done in the playoffs.

At this point, I think they could beat a team like Washington, the NY Giants, or Seattle at home in the wild card round. There is a slight chance they could also play the Lions which is a bad first round matchup.

They need to stay at the 2 seed. Although I don’t think it makes much of a difference in terms of opponent whether they are the 2 or 3 seed, the big disadvantage occurs should they make it to the divisional round. The 3 seed would likely go play at the 2 seed, who would host. The 49ers have the tie breaker over the Vikings, as they have a better conference record. It will be the difference from hosting the niners versus going there.

LOL you can’t even make it up. I pointed that out and still “can’t get excited the defense”! LMAO

It was the biggest comeback in NFL history. No one is saying this team is unbeatable now but that is something worth being happy about.

a win like that makes any lifelong fan happy. i have seen it all since i was able to understand the game. i also expect failure as the inevitable like most minnesota fans but it has been fun for me to enjoy the moment. I think the defense needs a week or two off or limit the snaps? i don’t know what the coaches have in mind but Z, DH and the vets are gassed. the next few weeks this team needs to rest some key players. Even Kirko, he needs a break after getting the $hit beat out of him all year. Its a luxury to rest your best assets and get some of the role players more field time

I had to drive down to the cities yesterday at noon, so I didn’t see the whole game until tonight. I think if the refs were competent the record comeback isn’t a thing, and the Vikes end up winning in a rout and don’t even need the Dalvin Cook TD. How can that be?

The ref’s blown call on the second-quarter fumble was a 14pt swing in favor of the Colts. The Vikes get seven on the TD and the Colts don’t get the interception for a TD; Colts would have had the ball then, not the Vikes with poor field position. Vikes are down 26-7 at the half, and things reset to even the game proceeds exactly as it did. The second blown fumble call puts the Vikes up 35 to 29. Chances are good that Vikes score an additional TD putting them over 40pts, and the Colts never breach 30 as they didn’t.

The ref’s need to be better. That was an embarrassment.

Yeah – agree BP – the crazy part was that we would’ve completed the comeback with a lot time to spare if it hadn’t been for the blown call. That game didn’t even need to go to OT. It likely would’ve been more than a one score game if both calls went the way they were supposed to.

Unreal game and comeback! I’m enjoying the he77 out of this season, and have no expectations for the playoffs. I will never understand how the offense goes whole quarters or more looking absolutely garbage, and then flip a switch and be as unstoppable as 1998 the rest of the game. And while the defense did only allow 1 touchdown, again it makes no sense to me how they give up long drives all season but seem to tighten up and limit it to FG’s. And then in the second half look like the 85 Bears, only giving up one scoring drive of 26 yards, and 97 yards total the 2nd half. Either way always nice to be back where we belong as KINGS OF THE NORTH!

Cousins threw for over 400 yards in the SECOND Half! That hasnt happened since 1991. Unreal.

The Colts also beat the Chiefs earlier this year, and lost to the mighty Eagles 16-17. But then as you said, got blown out by the Cowboys.

    Football is weird.

I wonder if the Vikings have literally killed anyone this year… Like seriously – they must have thousands of elderly fans across the state with heart conditions (my mom being one of them – she has to turn off close games so she’s barely seen any football this year). I remember during the Minneapolis Miracle, there were a bunch of people wearing Apple iWatches and it notified them they were having heart attacks. Obviously a tech flaw, but I bet it’s hard for a few tickers to handle.

I text my mom after every game to make sure she’s OK – no joke.

Every year you hear players and coaches say the difference between a win and a loss is razor thin and the parody in the league is really small. I usually chalk this up to coach speak, but after all the crazy losses, wins, upsets of this season I think they might be right at the moment. There are only a few teams that are much better than the rest and even then, they still get beaten occasionally by a surprise team. Makes for one helluva season.

Sure maybe that is true they lose in the first round, but if you can’t enjoy the greatest comeback in NFL history and already know how the story ends(at least in your mind) then why bother being a fan at all.
Just because it was a fun exciting game to watch as a fan doesn’t mean we all think the Super Bowl is ours to lose either.

Im just impressed that most of the fans stayed after halftime. I suppose with the cost of tickets these days they didnt want to leave, but man, that takes some dedication. Even I stopped watching them before the first half ended and I am about his hardcore of a fan as there is.

Had a buddy who’s a season ticket holder that left at halftime, and said he’d do it again given the same circumstances at halftime rotflol

My buddy sold his season ticket seats for the colts game because he thought we’d have already clinched it would be a boring game.

Ha! I wouldnt put anything past this team they just seem different. I guess the only thing that might surprise me is them actually blowing someone out for a change since they have a propensity of making every game a nailbiter.
