Hockenson will be a beast! Kyle Rudolph like hands but perhaps a little more athletic and better after the catch. Excited to see what he can do in a good scheme/team.

We love giving our division opponents draft picks, though! rotflol

saw some trade compensation chart and they gave up the 69th pick for Hockenson after you factor in the point system…….not bad, the guy is 25, signed through next year and a very good player….the pieces are in place

Seriously. I heard some talk, now that the Raiders are nose diving, of offering a first round pick for Carlson….Sounds crazy but with our kicking history I’d consider it…..

I wouldn’t. But Greg the (former) Leg and a later round pick (4th or later) and I’m in! rotflol

They rated all the trades made at the deadline and they gave the Lions a D- and Vikings an A.

7-1. Hock was big. JJ had a couple of tough non catches. Kirk was getting pressured by a good D Line. Fought through it and was clutch in the comeback. Skol!

First half was a snoozer, but a great 2nd half… it boggles the mind how NFL coaches can make such bonehead play calls at the end of the game. The Kirk throwaway on 1st down at the 4 yard line with 2:35 left is just bonehead stupid, run the ball to either get to the 2 minute warning or make them burn their final timeout…. Then the Commander special teams guy jumps on the snapper giving the Vikings the extra downs to basically run out the clock, could have been alot more drama at the end if he doesn’t cause that stupid penalty…

Gotta give credit though, they are figuring out how to win games alot of teams lose…

I thought they were gonna give it up this week. Credit to the new coaching staff for not getting rattled and figuring out a way to engineer a comeback. Should really build some confidence winning these close games!

Had to listen to the game on a head set from the deer stand today. Sounds like Hock made an immediate impact.

    Bring on da Bills!

9 for 9 and 70 yards. And important catches too. Even as a Cousins fan I thought he was checking out at halftime. He got the crap beat out of him today and still fought back and made some beautiful throws to get the team the win today.

Kind of crazy there is not more excitement for this team from a lot of purple fans.
They are 7-1. Damn near a NFC north lock.

Playing in in a conference that is wide open in my opinion.

Currently QB’s in the playoff by standings now.
    Cousins
    Hurts
    Geno Smith
    Dak
    Daniel Jones
    Jimmy G
    Marcus Mariotta

Not exactly HOF’s here. This may be there best chance of actually making a run in some time.

Have two pass rushers that can change the game. Offensively at the non QB high skill positions they may be one of best in the conference. With time to grow even more offensively as they go.

Lots of season left to change the landscape in the NFL.

    Marcus Mariotta

The Bucs just won with 9 seconds left and went ahead of Atlanta in the division, so we can replace Mariota with the GOAT. For now.

They got to protect him better. He got pummeled today so good to see him in good spirits. People who rip him have no clue about pro football.
Litmus test next with Buffalo but the Jets just gve them the blueprint.

Their next four games is their toughest stretch. Bills, Pats, Boys, Jets 3 of 4 are at home.

Kirk was pressured for sure but that d line is awfully good.

This team just seems so different. Amazing what a coaching and GM change can do. These boys are just flat out having fun. They are coming up clutch at key moments too. Harrison with INTs two weeks in a row at key moments and Cousins driving down the field making great throws. Love to see it. A little more time with the playbook and Hockenson is going to be a beat. Already had 9 catches. The division is ours unless something really catastrophic happens.

I think most Vikes fans are showing some self awareness, 7-1 is awesome and far better than anyone predicted, but they are just a good team getting the bounces and calls right now. They have a lot of improvement to do for a postseason run. They have the players, but need to keep improving within the systems. That Washington DL is probably the best in the league, even without Young playing, Sweat, Payne and Allen are beasts.

Exactly what I said to my friend. Pretty much word for word. He’s gonna be great for the Vikings. Love the trade and hope we resign him long term

I feel ya, every game just seems so tight, but it’s great to see the team not give up or not make boneheaded plays/decisions late in the game.

And as for bounces, we had one of the worst bounces I’ve ever seen in this game. That 50 yard TD pass was 100% going to be intercepted until the referee lined up Bynum and dropped a shoulder on him lol. That was one of the most ridiculous plays I’ve ever seen.

I still think our offense is not really living up to it’s potential, but how can you complain? They just keep putting drives together when it matters. Peyton Manning said the year that they won the super bowl in Indy that they had a lot of close, tough games in the regular season, and that really helped them once they got to the playoffs. The years before they were blowing teams out and then they’d get caught in a tough game in the playoffs and they’d tighten up. Not saying the Vikes are gonna win the super bowl, but pulling all these tight games out for W’s has to be great for their confidence.

And I echo the other sentiments, it’s cool to see a team just having fun. Zimmer era ended with a lot of not fun.

In the 4th quarter Vikings are outscoring their opponents 70-37! That pretty much sums up the 7-1 record.

Exactly! The Defense isnt as good yet as it was several years ago, but they seem to make adjustments and capitalize in mistakes. Hunter had what 3 sacks? He has had a slow start going to the 3-4 scheme, but Zadarius is a load!

The ref taking out our defender when it was surely going to be an INT leading to a TD for Washington was both hilarious and extremely irritating.
