2022 Minnesota Vikings

If both Bills and Vikings win next week, we’ll likely see our match-up with them flexed to Sunday night in two weeks.

Washington is not great but they’re not awful, and they’ve been coming on as of late. Should be a win but will be a tough road challenge. I think if yesterday’s game was in AZ, we would’ve lost. The crowd was a big factor in a few Cardinal blunders yesterday. Not much margin for error in these games we’ve been playing. We’ll see if our Kevinly Father can keep on pulling rabbits out of his hat.

I’ll keep taking Ugly wins over pretty losses any day. Most power rankings have the Vikings anywhere between 3-6. Only 2 teams with as many or more wins ( Eagles, Bills ) In their 6 wins they have averaged just under 28 Pts. a game. With their Def. they are most likely going to need to score close to that average to beat most teams. Their Special teams have been playing Great. If only their Def. could get just a little better ( Not sure if they can ) they may make some noise in the playoffs for once.

One more thing about the defense that is different this year. They are getting multiple turnovers a game and in huge spots in games. They give up points just like last season, but they couldn’t buy turnovers last year and every big spot they were in they couldn’t handle. That’s not the case this year.

The Eagles, 49ers, Vikings, and Cowboys are really the 4 teams in the NFC who are relevant. Everyone else on paper has some serious flaws that will make it tough for much of a playoff run in my opinion. Sure the Seahawks are a nice story, but I just don’t see it lasting. The Rams have some experience, but they just look lost still in spots. The Packers could get hot and still have dug themselves a huge hole with an inexperienced roster. The Giants are tough to believe in. The Bucs are talented in spots, but are banged up and aging as well.

I would NOT want to play the 49ers down the stretch. For some reason they just seem like a team building momentum with a coaching staff that seems to get a lot out of every player on the roster. The Vikings and Eagles have momentum for sure…but being at the top early and not “coasting” is a difficult task. We’ve seen many top notch Vikings teams over the years through Mid-November that falter. The Cowboys have the pieces, but I fully expect them to get in their own way at some point early in the playoffs.

How much are they loving the McCaffery move? I agree with you, I think they’re the team to watch. QB is a bit of a liability but Jimmy G’s got them there before.

The Vikings are a 3.5 point road favorite at Washington on Sunday.

Sad, no reports on how it happened either. Far too young.

Yeah I have been high on him for a long time all the way back to college. This is a big move I think.

8-10 weeks just seems really long for an ankle sprain though.
Hock could be a beast the rest of this season though.

It does, but it is a high ankle which those are terrible to recover from I guess. Ive heard its actually better if you just break your ankle which seems odd.

I didn’t see a move like this coming. It’s normally something you see from…. contenders?

As a fan I truly appreciate trying. Hasn’t amounted to much, but I really do believe the Wild and Vikes have attempted to get better through trades and free agency in recent memory. Much better than seeing the Pohlads and Falvene do nothing but then praise themselves because their #4 starter is coming off the IL so that’s “like a trade. “

So the bears trade away there best 2 defensive players and then trade for Claypool? Kind of a head scratcher there.

Gotta do all they can do to make that stiff Fields look good. Another failed QB won’t go over well when you are building a new stadium.

    Chubb to Miami.

You know for a second I thought you were referring to RB Nick Chubb. Its LB Bradley Chubb. Just for clarification. wave

The Broncos are reportedly “Not having a firesale.”

…they’re just trading one of their best players for a pick that although valuable, is unlikely to lead to someone who immediately has the impact that Chubb does.

The Broncos logic follows that of the Bears. The Bears cannot decide if they’re tanking and moving on from Fields or making moves to try and be the perennial 7 win team we all know they can be!

I’d think Brandin Cooks is getting moved. The Texans are the worst team in football WITH him, so they may as well move him for assets and cap relief. My guess is teams know their position though and are low-balling them.

The Vikings and Cowboys seem like obvious fits as teams that should be “swinging” while the NFC is not real deep and with great starts to the season.

Yeah I don’t get the move. Just gave your QB gigantic money for the next 4 years to win now and you trade your best defensive player.

They need decent WR’s and have the money to resign him. Also, makes WR less of a priority in next years draft and free agency where there are not very good options. The two defensive guys were not part of the rebuild one due to age, and the other due to what he wants to get paid.

Pretty fun to have some trade deadline activity!

The passing game should be wide open now with a legit TE threat. I saw Leber say today that the style of offense KOC is trying to run here really needs a big time TE so this SHOULD be really good.

I agree. They have a decent 1-2 TE duo with Mundt being more of a blocking guy and now Hockenson. This could get us back to the Childress days of a “Kick *ss offense”. LOL

They may have wanted to target someone that catches the ball more than 60percent of the time it’s thrown his way. whistling
But who am I to argue with the Bears philosophy.
