Just remind her who’s house it is. They love that.😂

I told her if she came in and out the front door then she’d never see them, and it would save on using our opener 700 times a day.

My oldest hit a Doe with his car on the way home from hunting Sunday night. We finished cutting it up today. Zero damage to any of the meat! So I went out tonight and got us a fresh one to cut tomorrow! waytogo

Just walking in to the woods, stopped to think of all the chores I have at home, took a leak and looked over at this lady running at me. So I took her and now can only target my big buck. Puts more pressure on me for sure. But this hunt was 12 minutes long and I now have a different set of chores to do tonight now that it’s warm. Lady friend said she’s getting sick of deer hanging in the garage. This one will get butchered and ground immediately

I did the same last night. I got down to the park for the afternoon sit, and decided to go for a short walk to check sign in a different area. Maybe 10 mins into my walk I saw a doe sitting on the hillside 40 yards away with a little fork. After shooting her the buck continued checking on her for 10 mins. He finally gave up on waking her up, and took off down the ridge. She was cut up and in the freezer before supper last night. I now have this afternoon tomorrow and saturday to track down one of the nice bucks I saw earlier this week.

Great deer everyone, and good luck to anyone still trying to find one!

One of my favorite time to hunt the rut is in the rain. I hope I get off early enough to sit for a hour or 2 tonight

Wife shot her target buck last night at around 4:40. Buck was locked down with a doe and wouldn’t let her into the food plot, kept pushing her back into cover. He stepped into a clearing at 110 yards and the rest is history! Double lunged with a Savage 220 and one of the 3 remaining Accutips we have between the both of us🙃

Rain is fine but it’s windier than hell and ladder stand is too twisty for my taste so I just got down. Pretty sure the porch is as good as anywhere lol

Yeah honestly the body was more impressive than the rack, haven’t put it to a scale yet but it’s well over 200lbs dressed. She is 20 weeks pregnant so I was fortunate enough to do most of the dragging/lifting haha. Having the inlaws Ranger definitely was a huge help once we got it out of the swamp to the field edge. Thanks everyone, the call and texts from her last night were priceless!

I slept in a little bit, and got out a out around 11 today. On the walk in I had a small 8 push a doe past me at 10 yards. A few mins later while waiting for the first two to wander off a 140’s, maybe pushing 150, 8 point pushed a doe down the hill side in front of me. Nothing I did would stop him for a shot though.

After a bit of a walk I’m now posted up on a bench above a stream. Should be a good night!

Brought my (almost) 5 year old with for the first time in a bow only zone, Mom insisted on the hat. He’s been cooped up all week with a low grade fever, so figured he needed some fresh air and Mom needed a break. He did great for about 2-3 hours on a chilly and windy night. And we got a swolled up but little 6 pointer within 10 yards straight downwind of us on the ground! Lil Werm was pumped but understands as he said “we need to wait for a 10 or even 12 pointer”. 🤣🤣 He watches a lot of THP with me.
