Another beautiful evening. Probably be my last sit of the year
Well had an almost great sit. Watched 8 deer do the same thing in the span of an hour so will setup there tomorrow night. Ended up having two does come through quartering too so could not take that shot. They got to within 5 yards and spooked. Stopped at 30 giving me a great quatering away shot and ended up using my 40 yard pin and sailed it right over its back. Tomorrows going to be the day.

I did almost the same thing. Single do came in at about 45 yards and I let her walk, I’m not to comfortable taking that shot. About 5 minutes later I had a really nice doe walk in last night at 20 yards, didn’t give me a shot opportunities. I had another come by at 35 yards and I some how shot over her. I’m calling it a year. It was fun I have 2 really nice bucks that keep showing up so that gives me faith neither have been shot. And bow season next year will be hit hard
The tall 8 I’ve been going for showed up a few nights ago again along with a couple others. So early season next year will be hit hard. His rack is perfectly symmetrical. The pic doesn’t show his height. But then another 10 came with him.
The 8 is the glowing eyes in the back.
A early season picture of him. This is Public land so I hadn’t seen him in a while. But he survived

For sure the most frustrating/rewarding thing with bow hunting is the need for a close to perfect opportunity. Clean miss isnt the worst deal. Just have to laugh it off and keep after it. Saw 3 tonight but no shots. Im jacked to see your bow season next year!
Only 2 months out! Cant wait to winterize the boat and pick up the bow.

How about live from the glassing spot… I’d say I’m getting pretty excited as well. There were some nice bucks running around the country side last night!

I don’t know…… That sure looks like a dog to me….
Might as well be a cow for how much grass he was eating. I’m not sure what was in that pollinator mix, but there is something the dog can’t get enough of.
I saw a good one on the drive home from work today. Nowhere near where I can hunt. When he turned his head to leave, he was all of 10-11-12 and had “inbetween” tines like G3 1/2…. Very nice buck.
“Live from the truck”
Nice deer Perch! Looks like you should go do some door knocking so that becomes a area you can hunt.
