    The only thing I had an opinion on was the use of jaw-jacker tip-ups which is a no-brainer. The current regulation forbidding their use is insanity.

    I was really hoping there would be a question about doing away with the closed season for bass, but no such luck.

    Why on earth would they have a closed season on Tiger muskie? A fish that does not reproduce can’t be fished for until June? I will forever not understand MN regulations. The DNR seems completely detached from science

    I’ve found that if you ask them, their reasoning makes sense to me sometimes and if it doesn’t, we’ve worked toward getting it changed.

    I’m going to guess if they open the season for Tigers, everyone and their mother will be fishing for Tigers and catching (and hopefully) releasing other flavors.
    Just a guess from my armchair.
