My season started today. Does anyone else travel out of Mn to get a jump on the season?

    Tonight view from the tree.

That’s great. I will be in WI and NE this fall plus MN.

    Thanks.
Nebraska, season opens up September 1st there every year.

Had my shot yesterday morning and blew it.
Good news is another cold front comes in this up coming weekend. Hopefully I can redeem myself.

I have the first week of mn archery off, between jobs. First time hunting whitewater state park may be in order, or kayaking the entire root River. Got options, as usual weather dictates my early season motivations.

Iowa doesn’t start until October 1st, so I went squirrel hunting instead. I did run into A LOT of squirrel hunters from Minnesota in Northeast Iowa, however.

The dumbest thing I ever did was move back to Mn from Iowa.
Now I have to wait every 4 to 5 years to draw a tag.
When I lived there I hunted around Jefferson and Panora area.

I’m about the opposite. I mostly wait til a neighboring state opens up which is later than us by couple weeks.
Sport hunting should be sporting. This particular state keeps it that way so I wait
