What’s the Wilds record since the Reaves trade? Asking for a friend jester

    Happy to answer this one…

    4 wins 1 loss
He has 3 assists and is a +1

and yes I do realize his success is likely to be short lived…

I’ll say this though, his teammates seem to love having him, the Wild put out a video clip of their recent team building outing and there was about 4 players (Kirill included) trying to push Reaves into a snowbank… pretty funny watching him take on 4 guys… of course he held them all off for awhile…

Would love nothing more than to eat crow served by Reavo Dangles

Don’t even bring up the Duke, but yeah $3m top 6 is a pipe dream without paying for cap retainage.

If this argument keeps up we should pass up last years’ Offseason KK thread in no time.

    Are you not entertained??

Nice to hear Hunter Haight has been on fire since his trade in the OHL, he has something like 8 points in the first 3 games with his new team.

Russo & LaPanta’s latest podcast cracks me up, they both shoot down the Boesser trade idea due to the lack of capspace in years 2&3, that’s fine…

But then they go on a rant about how GMBG is calling around looking for a top6 scoring forward at a $3 aav for 1-2 years…

Who the F do they think is an available Top6 scoring forward with a $3 aav? (Dont say Anthony DuClair)

Could be several at the deadline at that price.
Monahan, Domi, Okoposo, Van Riemsdyk, Henrique to name a few. Henrique probably a bit more.

at the deadline the caphit wont matter at all as the Wild would be able to take on like $13 million… The issue is that everyone else can take on quite a bit as well so prices get driven up due to competition for players… we’re not good enough yet to warrant spending 1st round picks for rentals…

I’d rather they find an improvement now and try to get into a position to get home ice in the 1st round to improve their chances of progressing in the playoffs…

Doubt any of the ones listed outside of Henrique will fetch a 1st but maybe. Plenty of other prizes out there at the deadline.

The others probably could be had for close to 3 mill now..

Just throwing out some possible names.

If the contract goes past this season then they’re pretty limited by AAV. If it’s a pure rental then AAV is a complete non-factor.

I need to make a correction to some of my previous posts regarding the Wild having extra capspace to spend for a trade… I was thinking the $4 million cap ceiling bump was NEXT season, when in fact it’s in 2 years…This basically kills any idea of taking on an additional significant salary next season…The cap is expected to get another $1 bump next season, but the Parise/Suter deadcap increases $2 million for the last 2 years of significant penalties so that gets eaten up instantly…

I’m killing my Boesser trade thoughts as it’s not even financially possible due to next season’s cap…

Mckinnon is out for 4 weeks with an upper body injury for the Avalanche. The Bruins also finally lost their first game at home on Monday, in a shoot out to Vegas. They still haven’t lost at home in regulation, we’ll see how long that goes now.

That is pretty impressive for the Bruins.

Avs will be fine, they have a ton of injuries every season. Been a few years since Mackinnon played a full season. It’s pretty dam impressive what they’re able to do even with the majority of their top 6 forwards out.

Funny it feels like the Wild have had so many injuries this season yet they’re still one of the healthier teams in the league.

I still beleive he would be a great fit in MN and MN would be a great fit for him, the money just wont work next year when I thought we’d have $4 more in capspace..

Yeah, he’s a good kid and deserves another shot to turn things around. He’s been through a lot and being close to home may do him some good or could also be bad. Its either one or the other. Chicago might be a good landing spot for him. They would have the cap space, they will be a young team and looking to rebuild with some veteran depth to help with the youth movement.

There are sure some surprise teams this year. The Devils and Red Wings being two of them. Will it be sustainable? We will see.

It’s interesting how the waves of a rebuild work, you suck for many years and get high picks, then 2-3 years later some of those high picks pan out and require big 2nd contracts and then you’re dealing with cap issues before they are all truly ready for their run…

Just look at everyone the Devils will need to extend in the next 1-2 years, it’s just crazy…The Redwings are in a similar boat with Larkin, Seider and Raymond….

The Redwings will have some issues I am sure because all 3 of those guys are going to get pretty sizable contracts. Theyre going to have a ton of UFAs after this year with only 11 rostered players. That team will look very different next year.

Watching NHL on TNT tonight. I think we found our replacement for Anson Carter. Henriq Lundquist is awesome on TV.

He’s sooo bad though… feel bad for Boldy..

Tage Thompson has 4 goals and 5 points in the 1st period for Buffalo tonight. NHL game goal & point record could be in jeopardy tonight!

Buffalo is up 6-0 so you know they are going to be feeding him the last 2 periods

Obviously they don’t have many other options that they think fit.

Beckman and Walker both have been hot scoring the last few weeks, they certainly dont have Petan in the Wild lineup to play defense…

Wow Spurgeon saved a goal right there. Knocked it out of mid air in front of the open net.

Beckman clearly isn’t NHL ready. He has had multiple chances to be brought up.
Walker as much as he is one of us is a 4 year college player who is like 150 lbs.

Duhaime should be back soon and he can go back to the press box.

I mean Reavo was playing there a week ago.

Speaking of Iowa there home website kind of sucks
