Kuemper out in Colorado. Signed Ranger back up. Could be an interesting night for wild. Trying to move some money for Flower.

Letang for 6 years. Woof.
They still need a goalie next year and maybe the following.
How cheap could they get Keumper? Sure he just won a cup but it’s not like he’s a top of the line goalie. Would be a very solid backup if gotten for fairly cheap.
My cousin just texted me from Denver saying Darcy wanted too much for them so that’s not gonna work.
Yeah Kuemper is going to be the #1 UFA goalie this year – I bet he gets something like $6m AAV x 6 years similar to Markstrom when he was the big fish goalie on the UFA market
Wow. That seems ridiculous to me. I guess the cup cred gets you that. I sure wouldn’t have that much faith in him.
Wild fans have a completely different opinion on Kuemper than the other 31 teams. He’s been a good, but often injured, goalie every season since leaving Minnesota. He’s the poster child of a good goalie prospect being rushed to the NHL too young
No doubt. Kemp’s isn’t signing as a backup. Guessing Edmonton or Toronto.
I also think wild fans have too much faith in Cam.
This KK thing is a little nerve racking.
Absolutely nuts for these Russian players to go back there. 100% predictable what would happen. Monumentally bad decision for any Russian to go back there thinking he could just pop in to visit mom, dad, and Uncle Igor and then bop back out to training camp. If these guys didn’t understand how Russia works, they should have asked their parents because “New Russia” is officially over and has been for some time.
Are the Wild going to make a move in R1? Predictions? Or do they just take their 19/24 picks straight up and hope they pan out?

Totally agree, but then there’s no explaining anything to the typical MN sports fan. Kuemper was more than good enough to have a major role in getting the Avs through the playoffs and to win the cup, but he’s really no good? Sorry, he can’t hear you, his ears are still ringing from the Stanley Cup victory parade…
I think they might try to trade both 2nd’s to move back into the late 1st round and grab a kid high on their board who’s been falling…
Yup…It is not a national inquirer thing if the commish is talking about it.
Bettman:
“Russian players that still reside in Russia need to make sure they’re making the best possible decisions for themselves and their families.”
Not good at all
1 year after giving up #12, #6, and Boqvist for a decade of Seth Jones @ $10m – the Blackhawks get #7, a 2nd, and a 3rd for DeBrincat … who is better than Seth Jones
Yeah Griner has been in jail since Feb and could face up to 10 years in prison for some pot. Don’t put it past that crazy running that country to do drastic things at this time. I doubt we will ever hear the real story.

They are a mess right now.
Not sure who this gal is on NHL network but she is worth the viewing.
Will be very interesting to see what DeBrincat signs for long term (assuming he agreed to eventually sign longterm?) his qualifying offer next year is $9 million…
Dredger reporting Flower is very close to signing a 2 year deal with the Wild
$9m is pretty close to market value for DeBrincat on a long term deal. Sens assuming he’ll want to be there with all their other guys around the same age
Fluery signed for 2 years $7 mill.
$1.5 million left for two forwards…..
Speaking of Flower… there’s no way he’s coming back next year. That ship has sailed.
Well now I gotta keep the hot takes coming.
There’s no way the kid with 10 points in Liiga and a million points against France, Kazakstan, and Italy actually goes first overall.

lol
This move is HUGE for Wallstedt, who better to learn under than Flower!
Hell of a sales job by GMBG to convince Flower to re-sign, you know he had other options (most probably argue are alot better than the Wild)

Kulikov will likely get traded tonight or tomorrow, free’s up $2.5

When I read the news I immediately thought either Dumba of Kulikov is gone. Or both if they really want to free up cash.
Devil’s got f’d… totally lost the value of the 2nd pick and took a guy they could have got at 5-6…
Kulikov trade frees up only $1.2m
This draft is nuts. Nemec is going to be a stud though, I like that pick.
Shane Wright dodging some major bullets here.
Wright was sweating it there for sure but I saw it coming. He was the “safe pick”. Not a ton of upside. The other two had that in spades. Montreal wheeling and dealing. I’m surprised those trades were announced so soon however.
Not sure what Chicago is doing. Trade for Jones and now starting over again. Kane can’t be real happy.
