2022/2023 NHL/Wild Offseason-Season-Postseason Thread

Maybe, there are a lot of injuries piling up, but at least Greenway is back tonight but hopefully he lasts more than a couple minutes this time.

They look totally disinterested tonight. Only sign of a forecheck or hustle has been a couple shifts from the fourth line.

Wtf is Kaprizov thinking??? He could be out tomorrow night as well…. Dumba with another bonehead penalty earlier too…

Aside from the skaters not deciding to show up, that may have been the most boring Wild game I’ve ever watched. Without Kaprizov driving the offense, this team just looks lost. The Kings have some of the worst goaltending in the league, and we couldn’t even produce a high-danger opportunity.

Reminds me of Wild hockey pre-Evason.

If Deano doesn’t put Rossi on the 1st line to try and jumpstart the offense, then i’m not sure he knows what he’s doing…Gaudreau has done NOTHING on that line…

Boldy on the Ek/Greenway line is a complete waste of his toolset…

Agreed, but they really dont have a ton of options with all the injuries. Not going to drop him further down the lineup or move those guys up.

yeah, good point…

They could swap Boldy and Gudreau. I know they would be playing out of position but it may be worth a try.

Doughty is a tw@t! He is constantly cross checking, holding or interfering with KK and 10 seconds before Doughty was darn near sitting on KK after cross checking him. Zero issue with what KK did. Doughty almost got his stick up on KK before KK hit him. That match call to eject was a bad call. 5 minutes and be done. Doughty sold it and is a little bah itch. Wild were awful, and still only lost by one goal scored in the 3rd, with half their team injured and missing KK. Flower stood on his head. Other than that was one of the worst games I’ve seen in a long, long time.

What have you seen so far that makes you think he would help the first line? He’s been invisible in all but one game this year. I’m not happy about it either but it’s the truth.

They just don’t have much firepower past the top line this year. Boldy has been great, but he has no one to play with.

Its simply a skillset match, you put offensive thinkers together, the limited times they’ve played together this year they’ve generated offense. The team hasnt scored a goal in 2 games, Why not give it a shot? I agree it leaves Boldy with nobody to play with, but you need to get rid of this offensive stank first…

Deano’s presser today talked about the Dewar – Rossi – Shaw line being the best last game and he wont switch them up so we might need to wait longer…

Bissonette making some bold comments about Kaprizov not getting any calls prior to the game. Wouldn’t be surprised if he gets a word or two off camera.

Oh, another thing, I’m done with Jost. I’d rather see one of the kids from Iowa up here.

I’d like to see Sammy Walker get a chance if we continue with these injuries. Jost needs to go sit a few in Iowa. I’ll be the first to say it – sturm would be nice to have right now…

The TNT intermission crew is more entertaining than the games. They are great. That Crosby interview was epic!

Holy crap Zegras

I really thought Rossi was going to show some hockey smarts and at least some good puck handling. To my untrained eye he just doesn’t look ready. That PP just now is a prime example. The game is just too fast for him right now. I don’t know if that means sending him down to get his confidence back up or to stick with him and hope he gets accustomed.

Zegras’s mastery is wasted by a lazy Kulikov… I too am done with Jost….and Dumba… I want them gone asap!

I’m now thinking Rossi needs to be sent down to Iowa if he’s not going to be given a chance at 1C. He looks lost out there…

How does our powerplay go from one of the best in the league, to a group that doesn’t look like it has a f’ing clue what to do???

This team is very frustrating to watch right now….

We only have one line until the GREEF line gets back healthy. And then we still only have two lines. Thank god the goaltending (yes I’m saying it) has solidified at the moment.

The Duck’s scouting coach sucks, I think ALL Wild fans knew Kirill and Zuccy were going to do the back & forth 5-3 stuff play, I knew from the faceoff…

That final Zuccy pass has to be absolutely perfect and graze the back of the net for the play to work, absolute perfection! I doubt we see that play again as all teams should know about it now….

Kirill and Zuccy have a 2/3 success rate (They scored on it last year, then they tried it earlier this year and messed up on one of the passes)

Great to see them get a little pissed off and fight for each other. Actually got them fired up. I thought Dewar was getting get killed fighting that guy that was 6 inches taller, but he held his own and got a couple sneaky shots in. I heard that guy didn’t play the rest of the game after that fight.

Rossi actually redeemed himself in the second half of that game I thought. Showed a little more speed and energy.

So what exactly happened the other night with all the misconducts? I couldn’t quite stay up that late & I’ve been looking for some video the last 2 days. I can’t find anything.

I thought I read something that someone went after Kirill, Boldy stepped in, then I think later Dewar got into it with someone too, but I didnt watch any of it. Just going off what I was seeing on my Twitter feed the next day.

I did find a video of a little scuffle with Zuccy going after someone for pushing up on KK97, but that I believe that was in the 2nd period. idk if that was the same scuffle or not.

KK mixed it up with another player at the benches and exchanged some cross checks and the other guy started following KK like he was going to do something. Boldy saw it from a ways away, skated over and leveled the guy before anything happened. Then all hell broke loose. Zuccs got a guy in a headlock and took him down. Good stuff. Good to see them standing up for each other.

ESPN+ game tonight. Might have to do the free trial. Dont feel like throwing $7 out the window each month again since I really never otherwise use it.

one benefit of having ESPN+ is around 9:15pm every night logging in to watch any east coast games that go into OT, that’s some of the most exciting hockey you can watch, sometimes you can get 2-3 OT games in a row to watch…
