Is it normal to juggle the lines so much? It would seem best to keep lines consistent at some point for chemistry. Guess they are still figuring out what works best.

With 3 guys injured makes that a little difficult.

Yeah I suppose. I do think Evason is a good coach. Just heard he’s the 5th fastest to 100 wins.

Flower dialed in! Its amazing the amount of seam passed the Wild D allows each game…

I’m liking the Brodin & Addison pair!

Holy what a tip by KK and what a zone hold by stone hands.

Boldy needs to shoot more from the half boards on the powerplay, he’s too predictable to pass it off…. Looks like Addison forgot how to shoot as well…

Kk trying really hard to get Rossi a goal.
Still think it is dumb if you challenge a goal and lose you get a penalty.

Boldy really needs to work on his 1 timers…. Stoked for Marco! Just needs that 1st goal to break the dam and build confidence!

but you delayed the game by forcing the Refs to possibly overturn the call they made on the ice, no penalty if you’re correct…makes perfect sense imo…

You delayed the game 1 minute to make sure the right call was made on a goal. You are telling me in real time they could tell that wasn’t a high stick or a toe has or hasn’t crossed the blue line.

You don’t get a penalty in any other sport do you?
You are only challenging like 4 to 5 scenarios on a goal.

Couple good power plays in that 2nd period. Glad Rossi is on the board he looked pretty pleased in his intermission interview!

I think the NHL is a more “pace of play” sport than the others and the NHL wants to maintain that… you can challenge as many goals as you want as long as you’re correct… I think NHL refs are the best in all of sports (they are all legitimate athletes themselves) and are correct with their calls the vast majority of the time, especially with how incredibly fast the game has gotten over the years…

Don’t disagree about the refs, however it’s a goal challenge. I have to imagine teams challenge less than a dozen in 82 games. There is no pace when the challenge happens there is a whistle and stoppage after the goal anyway, most likely a TV commercial either way. Agree to disagree I guess. I think it lame.

I dont think the game can go to commercial when there’s a challenge??? and most challenges take alot more than 1 minute, especially when the NHL Replay Center gets multiple requests at the same time… The NHL is fine with taking up that time if it results in the correct call, but not if the correct call was already made on the ice.

Stupid penalty by Jost. Not sure about that guy.

I meant there is stoppage after every goal. Usually a commercial break after the next whistle of goal. Why would they have to wait for Toronto? Why can’t the refs take ok 2 minutes for the refs to look at a controversial goal.
150 challenges in 2624 regular season games. So 300 minutes in 157,440 minutes of games played. Doubt is slowing the pace.

Shaw is making Jost expendable when our injured players get back in the lineup…

Hopefully they recall Sami Walker from Iowa and send the other guy back…

Duhaime hurt tonight. Sounds like a shoulder like the rest. Really digging deep into Iowa. Don’t have much Grit up front anymore. Spurg took a stick to the face in that Rossi scrum and threw and actual punch.

The game Ref’s dont make the over-turn call on challenges, Toronto does… they ask the refs for their take, but the War-room ultimately makes the call. I’d guess there could potentially be some bias from the refs towards their own call and thats another reason the refs dont make the challenge call decision??

Without the penalty, what stops a challenge on every goal then?

Flower since his first two games has a .924 save percentage and a 2.33 GAA. Would be top ten for both if looking at starting goaltenders.

its amazing how god awful those first 2 games killed his stats, it will take him a months worth of elite games to get back to a good gaa and save %

Mute point does not make it any longer. So they are the only refs in all of sports that may be biased. Why wouldn’t the whole crew take a look. You make it sound so unique to hockey that their are challenges in a sport. The only unique thing about is the team is penalized and probably less challenges than any other sport.
    Again agree to disagree.

When the nhl first came out with instant replay coaches were challenging everything.
This rule really put the brakes on that.
Coaches were challenging just to break the momentum of a winning team.

The Wild are really going to be tested the next few weeks with all these injuries piling up. That was Fleury’s best game with the Wild last night. He looked fantastic.
