How about Jamie Benn leaving the arena without talking to the media??? That’s not normal, especially for a team Captain…
Benn is a turtle just like Marchand only taller.
Florida is playing like an absolute perfect playoff team right now, they play tough hockey, have confidence and a hot goalie…

Benn is one tough sob…he’s dirty as hell but he can back it up when he wants to…last night looked like a complete mental breakdown to me… he didn’t say anything to his team when he skated off the ice after getting the boot and appears to have snuck out the locker room after the game…
Hes tough yes, but he never fights just like Marchand. He sort of short circuited there for a minute and I have no idea why I didnt see what that dude would have done for him to get attacked like that. He will likely get to watch from the press box for the series clincher.

honestly, I think there’s a bit of the “Reaves” effect with Benn, guys just don’t want to fight him…
Benn got a 2 game suspension. If their season ends tomorrow, it will carry over into next season and he’ll be required to miss the first game of the season.
Watching Florida last night and it was depressing. Just thinking about the way FL is playing and the goaltending they are getting. Even if the Wild somehow could have won the west, could they score 5 goals in a best of 7 series against Florida?
Billy Gee has him work cut out for him.
I actually think the opposite. Should give wild fans hope. The panthers have not had much playoff success until now. Yes made the cup final in 96 and have had very little playoff success since then. That’s over 25 years of little to no playoff success. And obviously it shows you just have to get in and you have a chance.

Yeah, people forget that they barely got in in the first place. If Chicago hadnt beaten Pittsburgh they would be golfing.
it’s all about putting the right pieces together (skill and grit) and getting good goaltending and alot of puck luck…
Sofar the Wild haven’t experianced any of those 3 since 2003…i’m optimistic the Wild can get the first 2 lined up in 2-3 years, the puck luck is what it is…

and having you super stars show up…

it certainly helps, but you can win without them for a round if you get balanced scoring (Dallas’s Jason Robertson went missing in the 2nd round)
fyi – Wild prospects Cadean Bankier and Kyle Masters will be playing in the Memorial Cup tourney (host club) for the Kamloops Blazers…
awesome atmosphere in the Latvia vs Sweden game going on right now.. Wallstedt is NOT playing…
Capfriendly switched over to the 2023/2024 season…kinda nervous to see Kaprizov only signed for 3 more seasons now (it’s going to be a hockey decision for him to re-sign, not $, the Wild will happily pay more than anyone else)
Iowa Wild is going to get flooded with young defense talent next year in Lambos, Spacek and Masters… and then the following year with offensive talent in Khusnidinov (likely makes the Wild), Ohgren, Yurov, Haight…

Im surprised at how little Wallstedt has been playing. Is the other guy better? I havent been watching but might flip it on now.

If KK leaves I can guarantee all the pieces won’t be in place in 2-3 years.

He cant leave for 3 years so theres that. We will have so much cap space we can sign him for a contract that would make Elon Musk blush along with many other players to surround him.
They will have to move him after 2 if he isn’t resigning so there’s that.

Why are you such a Debbie Downer lately? SOmeone kick your dog?
No my dog died last year. Didn’t think I was, but it is the off season with out a lot of excitement around the corner for this team. Watching a Florida Vegas Cup doesn’t help.

well…. yeah…

That’s why I said his decision won’t be about money at all…if he wants to stay, he’ll basically have a blank check, if he wants to go, GMBG will be forced to trade him to get assets back…pretty simple…why worry about something only Kirill has control over…
we’ll know more January 1st 2025, I believe that’s the date he can officially sign an extension…You figure it would be the biggest no brainer in franchise history, so why not sign it on the 1st day you could? Unless there will be the cat & mouse games on what other superstars sign for and the need for every guy to one up the others…
I’d also guess GMBG makes a huge play for a pending UFA star at the deadline in 2025 with the intention of signing them longterm the following season… To show Kirill he mean’s business on putting quality players around him…
Damn, if only the Wild were as disciplined as Vegas is against Dallas…
Is it their defensive system or is the Vegas goalie really this good?
