Well he still has to put it in the net. We have had plenty of guys who would have still screwed that up. He showed speed, aggressiveness and finish all on one play.

How can you tell he had speed everyone was standing still except him. He was aggressive because the rest of the team went off the ice.
    Good finish.
I just don’t get to excited about prospect plays at Worlds.

Joe Veleno WWE stomps Nino’s leg with his skate.

That was gross! I had to watch that video multiple times because I couldnt see it the first few times.

He had a guy on his wing and 4 defenders he was attacking. I dont care if they were HS players its still an impressive play which is what we are looking for him to do be aggressive. Normally our guys just dump the puck in and change.

Uh ya cuz in the NHL they are not just going to stand still at the top of the circle like cones and then split apart so you can skate right down the middle all alone. Just sayin.
Nice goal. Just needs to be some context.

i’m just glad he took authority on the play and didn’t defer…it will be fun to see Sweden start to play some worthy teams, Wallsted has something like 36 of 37 shots stopped TOTAL in 3 games…

Yeah, I am not saying hes the next McDavid but I would almost guarantee you that all of our other centers on this team would have just dumped the puck in.

No the NHL club, ek hartman heck whoever else there is would dump it in. Maybe shaw wouldn’t but he can’t now obviously.

I know its been said numerous times, but the TNT/TBS Post Show is so damn good! Lundquist and Gretzky provide the legendary breakdowns and speak from ultimate experience, Biz is Biz and lightens the tone. Just so good..

Carter constantly states the obvious and brings zero creativity so he should get replaced…

Unfortunately there competition isn’t exactly strong to compare to, but I agree.

The Athletic’s Wheeler & Pronman did a 2 round NHL mock draft, they had the Wild taking RW Mathew Wood at #21, then RW Jayden Perron at #54 and then LHD Luca Cagnoni at #63 (Vega’s pick – which could change if they get to the Cup)

I’d love it, but I don’t see Wood still being there at #21…I’d like to see the Wild use one of the 2nd round picks and move up if possible to grab more talent…Perron and Cagnoni are both very undersized, I’d like to see the Wild focus on adding size…

    Barlow,Danielson,Perreault are who i’m hoping for…

Also, 9 pages to go to pass last years. Gonna need some live stream posts for the last few games of the Conference championships and then the Cup.

The Wild are going to need to add some size with the possible trade of Moose, trade of Greenway already and then Dumba likely not being around. IDK how in the world they are going to make it work without dumping some salary IE Moose etc. They dont have much left. Im guessing they would sign Shaw to like an AHL deal due to his injury OR do they sign him to an NHL Deal and start him on LTIR to get some cap relief but that is such a mystery in how it works anyway.

I never thought you were crazy, I just think its going to suck not having Moose because I really like him, but I really see no other options.

thank God Foligno wasn’t signed longer term a few years ago…

this team needs a season (or two) where the young guys are allowed to play through their mistakes without the fear they’ll get benched or sent down to Iowa the next day…it sucks, but you deal with the pain now to enjoy the fruits of it years down the road…now this doesn’t mean we bring everyone up from Iowa and just play them, but we need to know what guys like Beckman/Walker/Rossi/Hunt/O’Rourke can do when given an extended look, not just a 1 game played, 3 games in the press box injury callup for a week…

There are literally 100’s of guys like moose in the NHL. You just don’t notice as close because they don’t play for the Wild. I say if you are getting rid of moose for Reavo however not a fan of that move. Give me moose over Reavo 100 out of 100.
Not so sure on Hartman. They literally have only 5 forwards signed the following year. If he wants to be here I think his versatility at a reasonable contract can make sense for both sides.
Hard to get rid of center depth. No doubt Hartzy is not a true center but has played his best hockey there as well.

Maybe I’m just a fan of the rat.

I’m basing Hartman getting traded due to what I think his contract demands will be… I’d absolutely sign him to the same contract he has now, but he’s going to want low 1C ish money ($5+ aav) if that’s what he’s going to play here… This is his last big contract opportunity, he already gave us a haircut on his last deal…

Reavo is a 4th liner, I wouldn’t complain about signing him to a 2 x $1aav deal… that’s just $150k more than any Iowa scrub or journeyman UFA vet we’d sign instead…. His locker room presence is as valuable as a few more goals some other player could score, especially with Dumba gone from the locker room… That will be important with the likely growing pains this team will have the next few years… I think another team will offer more for him though…

How about Jamie Benn leaving the arena without talking to the media??? That’s not normal, especially for a team Captain…

So who ya got in the finals? The Desert or the Swamp?

I am going with the swamp team. 8th seed has knocked off two 1 seeds and a 2 seed to get there. Might as well take out another 1 seed en route to a stanley cup.
