I wouldn’t be surprised to find out if BG made the call to run Fluery out there. Fluery is like BG’s old dog just can’t bring himself to put him down even though he knows it’s time.

You know, I thought this too. BG obviously has some or a lot of say in what lineups get played, we already know that. Clearly last year his intention was to sign Fleury and was hell bent on riding him as far as possible, even if another goalie had better stats or was playing better at the time. I think its very possible that is what’s going on here again. Hopefully the same mistake doesn’t continue to repeat himself.

Lucked out into suite tickets tonight for the game through a work connection, anyone been to a live NHL playoff game before? I’m pretty excited, but not sure that my nerves will be able to take it, I’m already a wreck watching the games on TV.

Agree with all the other folks on here though, if we don’t get Ek/Hartman back, we’ll need some lucky breaks and fantastic goaltending. I don’t know if many teams are built to be able to win in the playoffs without their top 2 centers. Especially when your top 2 centers aren’t really probably top 2 centers compared to most teams.

Russo was just on KFAN and made it sound like Gus is going to be in net tonight because he was taking shots from the defenseman. Lets hope sitting out Wednesday didn’t cool him down.

I’ll be going to the game tonight and I’m excited for it! Going to be fun atmosphere and fun to boo at Suter haha.

Justin Donson, KP, try to make at least one comment from the game tonight. I have no choice other than radio and IDO for my fix.

I will try! Look for me on TV, I’ll be wearing my Kaprizov jersey, should be easy to spot.

I’ll be there tonight and Sunday. Make sure you give yourself time to watch the pregame stuff as it gets you pretty fired up. At least it does for me.

Doesn’t matter how you slice it for the first two games. Series is tied. Neither game means anything now. It’s a race to 3 wins now.
We are not talking about the Bruins playing the Coyotes here. These are two fairly equal teams that neither have a margin for error or they lose. I mean they have played six times now and are 3 and 3.

Yes, but all of the Wild’s wins have been in extra time (OT and 2 shoot outs) whereas all of the Star’s wins have been in regulation by at least 3 goals. Yes, I understand that wins are wins, who cares how they happen. But it also tells me that when Dallas is on, they are the vastly superior team. When the Wild are on, the game is close and can go either way.

Fluery is like the Twins and Pagan. Its like they feel they have to use them just to try and prove they were right in trading for them. Time to cut ties with both.

My wife and I went to a playoff game at the X against the Ducks in 2003. It was epic, but we got rocked. The place was rocking for a while though. So much fun. Enjoy

I’d say Pavelski getting taken out in Game 1 has a lot of relevance to the rest of the series. Enjoy the games! That will be a lot of fun.

Doesn’t matter. As you said a win is a win. Do you know who was in the lineup. Who was playing goalie. Was it a penalty riddled game etc.
You read the box scores and determine who the better team is that’s it.

I seem to remember that Fleury started a lot of the Stars games.

Generally, yes. The only point I’m trying to make here is that when Dallas has won, they have won convincingly. When Minnesota has won, they have barely won. I don’t watch all 82 games from beginning to end and analyze what variables have come into play. Hell, I didn’t even see the first two playoff games in their entirety. Box scores, highlights, and recaps are what I have to go by for the majority of games.

You make it sound like anyone who doesn’t watch the entire season from beginning to end should not be commenting because they don’t see enough hockey.

I simply stated that past games no longer matter and these teams are fairly equal. Then you pointed out your box scores to make a point that Dallas is far superior. Which is not accurate.
It’s the playoffs one big save one lucky bounce can determine the outcome.

    Go Wild.

Actually the box scores paint a good picture of the game if you didn’t watch it. Shots on goal, blocked shots, penalty minutes, time on ice, face off percentage, hits, pk time on ice, sh time on ice, line ups, healthy scratches, injuries it’s all there. Watch the five minute game recap and you know as much as anyone who watched the game and you got your beauty sleep! toast

Justin plYoff hockey is pretty intense at the rink.
I’m not sure you’re up to it, it could give you a heart attack with all the excitement.
I think it would be best if you transferred the tickets to me. That way you wouldn’t have to worry about overdosing on the excitement.
I know what you’re thinking, will I be OK with the excitement.
I will be fine, I’m old and have had a full life, so if I have a heart attack and die it won’t be so bad.
Trust me I’m willing to take the risk for your safety.

A new Wild on 7th is out and near the end John King talks about his superstitions and how he didnt do the same routine for last night’s game that he did for game 1.

OK fine I’ll confess. Game 1 I started with whiskey then switched to beer for OT. Game 2 I foolishly started with beer but didn’t realize my mistake and switch to whiskey until it was too late. Now finally after 2 days of blaming literally everyone, you all know the ugly loss was truly my fault *insert Freddy Hockey my bad chest tap*

I like the Wild’s chances, but its funny how so many MN fans think the sky is falling after game 2 when they have the edge stealing a road game.

    toast

Your a hockey expert then by the box scores. If you stayed at a holiday inn you could probably coach games 3 and 4 then as well. Or maybe even play toast
