My last series take before tonights game, Zuccy needs to get out of his 25 game funk and play alot better or he needs to be removed from the 1st line replaced by Nyquist…HE HAS TO BE BETTER….

ok, lets get it on Dallas!!!….oh and Norm Green still SUCKS!

He’s one of my most hated players…his struggles last year were awesome for me to watch, kudos to him for a turnaround season…

He’s a tough sob, but he’s also a cheap sob and he never seems to get called for his BS, my big worry in the series is somebody like Benn doing something cheap on Kirill… I’d like to see Dumba catch him cutting accross the middle with his head down, problem is I think Dumba would get hurt on the hit as well…

He’s a dirty rat like Hartman but also as tough as Foligno so no one can do anything about it. Then add in he won the freaking Art Ross like 10 years ago.

Powerplay with no qb and no Ek has me concerned

I would put Boldy in Ek spot and Mojo or Nyquist on the flank.

No way the pull zuccy off first line but agree he needs to show up.

You watch Ek is going to pull one out last second.
Like Hulk Hogan holding his arm up on the last three count on a sleeper hold.

Of course Mark Stone is now healthy enough to play for Vegas game 1…

    Just like Gabe Landes–

You really think they kept their captain, who’s had 2 back surgeries in less than 12 months, on fake LTIR all so they could trade for TEddy Blueger, Ivan Barbashev, and Jonathan Quick?

Just annoyed that every time a good player gets injured now there’s a bunch of LTIR Police that feel the need to say they are healthy enough to return earlier than they do.

you can’t be serious defending Stone and Vegas? This has been their playbook the last 2 years…

    Or

They just employ the greatest rehab doctors in the world who can time their players recovery to coincide with the regular season end date…

You can’t be serious saying the same thing about Landeskog a couple weeks ago. Lots of clucking chickens all season about Landeskog and I haven’t seen a single one yet say dang I was wrong the guy was actually injured….

Stone has had 2 back surgeries in what, 10 months? And people are saying he’s faking it. Gross

I don’t like the way we limped into the playoffs. But, I am hoping BG and Deano have the right attitude set and that the players who needed rest are ready to go (obviously not Ek quite yet).

Really hope this is the year we get out of the first round and make a run, but I could easily see this Dallas series being a challenge.

Fiala gets the hate (deserved) from last year but Boldy was every bit as invisible against the Blues and it cost them that series. As a rookie he gets a pass but this year they need him to be the X-factor.

I disagree here. I thought Boldy looked ‘okay’ last year in that playoff series. Not to mention Boldy was what, 20 years old and Fiala was 25 and asking for $9MM a year at the time?

Neither showed up on the scoresheet much, but Fiala provided little to no offensive spark(1 even strength point in 6 games), and was a whopping -5 with 16(!!!) penalty minutes. He alone almost accounted for a whole period of PPs for the Blues, when we had an abysmal penalty kill squad. I think the Blues scored at least 1 or 2 on those penalties, and I seem to remember them scoring one of those ‘3 seconds after the PP ended goals’ off one too.

Of course, part of this is that there’s two different expectations for those players. I thought Boldy pretty much met expectations for a 20 year old kid, and Fiala single handedly may have had the most negative contribution of any player on our roster.

    He was an absolute ghost.

I think Cam Talbot may want to find a new agent. whistling

Totally fair, actually I feel like we said the same things – Boldy invisible but gets a pass. You just added Fiala did things that actively hurt the team. I’ve never been more disappointed in a single player than Fiala last playoffs.

My wild ass guess and yes I am as much of a homer as Joe
    Round 1:
    Wild over Dallas in 6
    Avs over Kraken in 7
    Vegas over Jets in 6
    Kings over Oilers in 7

    Bruins over Panthers in 5
    Canes over Islanders in 5
    Rangers over Devils in 7
    Lightning over Leafs in 7

    Round 2:
    Wild over Avs in 7
    Vegas over Kings in 6

    Bruins over Lightning in 6
    Devils over Canes in 7

    Round 3:
    Wild over Oilers in 6
    Bruins over Devils in 6

    Finals:
    Wild over Bruins in 7

You have EDM bouncing first round yet we beat them round 3. Interesting take… but I like it.

Wow…no games on espn+ until Friday?! What a shame.

Edit. And its only one game!. Nhl wonders why they have viewership number problems, they make it impossible to watch especially in an age where more and more people are cutting the cord. Was able to watch a lot of games every night (other than wild) and now nothing!

Watching live sports in general has become really difficult lately – it’s frustrating.

NHL has really fubar’ed their tv package. I just pulled the plug on my Bally Sports app after the last regular season game. Number one the constant buffering was just way to damn annoying and secondly the late starts for the Wild are annoying. Game recaps the next morning are free and I get my beauty sleep.

i’m not saying he’s faking it, its the impeccable timing of lining up exactly when the regular season completes and the salary cap goes away… that’s my complaint, it absolutely circumvents the cap…if it doesn’t then why didn’t he play the last game of the season to get some game time feel back? because he couldn’t without putting Vegas way over the cap…

and I believe I replied the day Landeskog was announced out for the playoffs that I was surprised (maybe in not so many words) but that was my point…

Stone’s not the only one who did it (so did Barzal) but he’s done it 2 seasons in a row…

and it’s absolutely an issue because the GM’s discussed it at their meetings, but it didn’t have enough support because most GM’s are now forced to use the loophole in the last few years due to such a tight cap…

Hopefully this Ballys fiasco forces the NHL to catch upto the NFL/NBA in terms of ease/quality of streaming their games & content…

It’s questioning the seriousness of the injury and it happens every time a star player gets injured now. The LTIR Police have no idea how injured Mark Stone is or what he’s going through to play game 1. Just like they had no clue about Landeskog.

Did I miss injuries to Both Bobrovsky & Knight in Florida resulting in a goalie (Lyon?) I’ve never heard of starting?

I was thinking the same thing. My guess part of the reason they struggled to even get into the playoffs.

Lyon looks like a stud right now.

we can agree to disagree… I agree Landeskog looks lime an exception to this strategy although we don’t know if he had a setback in his rehab or simply wasn’t going to be healed in time???

I know I’m in the minority it’s just a hive think narrative that’s snowballed out of control. Lande missed an entire season and the LTIR Police still think it’s somehow connected to LTIR and the cap like wtf the guy is hurt.

Anyway that’s enough on that when we got playoff hockey tonight yay

yeah, I’ve seen both this season, ESPN broadcasted game simultaniously broadcasted on Ballys as well, and then a blacked out ESPN channel screen…I guess you’ll find out

Its on both channels for me. Good call
