Just hope we can recoup some value back trading him… or he signs a smaller 2 year bridge deal to span the gap before Lambos/Peart/Iowa guys are ready but it feels like he’s going to want out…

I think he has got value. I would almost bet BG could trade him back to Pit.

For Zucker? I mean he did put up 27 G’s this year.

So is Dallas or Colorado a better matchup in round 1? Minnesota went 1-2 versus the Avalanche and 2-2 versus the Stars. Both wins versus Dallas were in shoot outs.

Maybe it doesn’t matter. If Landeskog is out, maybe the Avalanche are the better matchup. But then again, they are the defending champs too. Probably a toss up.

Kind of a toss up in my mind. Avs just confirmed Landeskank is out for the year and Makar is still hurt also but could be close to returning. But they are still the Avs.

Dallas’ roster doesn’t really scare me other than Ottinger. Problem is they have wiped the floor with us this season.

I totally get this game doesn’t matter. I just kinda hate seeing the B Squad out in front of Gustavsson for this final game.

The seeding also seems screwed up to me. Seems like we should be playing the Kraken or the Kings in Round 1.

Freddy Hockey extended 5 years today. I know there are a lot of haters on here, but I like it.

And Jon Merrill is my new Matt Dumba. He needs to be sat down for the playoffs.

as much as I like to rip on him, that’s a crazy good deal for a versatile center and shootout specialist…we expected him to take a coaches favorite sweetheart deal, but damn GMBG is a dealmaker!

They definitely need to go back to the straight up 1-8 matchups and then re-seed after each round.

If they did the 1-8 matchups, Minnesota would currently be the 5 or 6 seed and be playing the Avalanche or the Stars. So really would not make a difference right now.

Absolutely! The Freddy Hate always bugs me – he is the epitome of a good role player on a cheap deal. He’s about as consistent as they come.

Did he sign the deal right on the bench immediately after scoring? I can see it Deano’s like hey great goal Freddy nice job doing so many right things… here’s 10 sheets.

I’d say Freddy Hockey is making them look pretty smart.

You think he signed the deal a few days ago and Billy G was just like hey let’s sit on this until his next goal and then we announce it? He always has a flare for the dramatic and likes to announce extensions at key times in the season.

Freddy has literally gotten better every year he has played. Dude works extremely hard all the time. Can play up and down the lineup if need be.
10 mill for an undrafted AHL guy is pretty damn good. Good for him.

I would rather have Gus playing than sit for over a week. Game 1 starter just getting practice.

They would be the sixth seed. Edmonton should be the one that should be upset at this point.

5 of his 19 goals sofar this season were empty netters, I wonder how that % compares with others? Gotta be the highest in the league? Jake Guentzel leads the league with 7 empty net goals out of his 35 total…

meh, shootout goals are obviously based on the team getting to a shootout, not within regulation time. Freddy leads the league in shootout goals this year, but he also leads in attempts… The Wild has had a ton of shootout games this year…
